609. The ‘Sanctuary Plan’

Minato, Mei, and Tsunade discuss their next series of actions with the Kages and commanders. Even Hashirama and other Edo Kages are part of the meeting.

"The Fourth Shinobi War caused a significant loss to the shinobi population and our resources. Almost two-thirds of the current shinobi population perished in this battle and, except for the few people on the island, the fate of the rest of the shinobis is also unknown." Shikaku sighs and relays the intel he had gathered before escaping the Allied Shinobi Force Headquarters.

Similar to other locations, the Allied Shinobi Force HQ also had a teleportation formation to escape to a Redaku ship. Given that the shinobis in the HQ are the top strategists and intellectuals of the shinobi world, their safety was of utmost priority.

"We will first recoup with the remaining lost shinobis and then make further plans for development. With the upcoming threat in the future, all shinobis need to be reunited." Sakumo remarks.

Minato also recounts his experience of the 'Sanctuary' to the rest of the group. Izuna had already discussed this matter while they were returning to the Shinobi world.

"I didn't expect the world to be so vast!" Onoki sighs and shakes his head.

"I am too old for this!" His back cracks again from the shock, and he gasps in pain. Akatsuchi hurriedly supports him.

"Maybe it's time to step down as the Tsuchikage and let the new generation take charge," Kurotsuchi remarks, earning a glare from Onoki.

"Over my dead body! I can't hand over Iwagakure to a bunch of useless people."

"Fine! Fine! Old man! I will wait a few years for you to drop dead." Kurotsuchi grins.

"Impossible! I can't still live another twenty years." Onoki retorts.

Argh… Ugh…

His back pain flares again.

"Let me call for a healer for you, old man!"

Kurotsuchi looks around and notices Sakura. Sakura nods at her and heals Onoki's back.

While the group was still mourning the loss of so many shinobis and discussing future plans, Izuna chats with Kaguya and her two sons.

"Izuna!"

Everyone turns their attention to him. The Kages and commanders nod at each other and Shikaku steps forward.

"Izuna, among everyone present here, you had the most contact with those powerful otherworldly beings and thus are our only source of intel. So, what do you suggest?"

After listening to Minato's encounter in the sanctuary, a ray of hope rose in everyone's mind. If they could exchange resources with 'Sanctuary' and perhaps even get technology from some of the other civilizations, then the shinobi world would make rapid progress.

This is what everyone agreed upon and thus was waiting to get Izuna's approval. Since Izuna is their only contact with the 'Sanctuary'.

With a nod from Minato, Izuna also understands the gist of the situation.

"I already had plans to create a stable communication channel between the Shinobi world and the 'Sanctuary'."

With these words, Izuna takes out a massive scroll from his spatial pocket.

Bang…

He places the huge scroll in between the group with a loud thud.

"This is?!"

Everyone curiously glances at him for an explanation.

"This will be our future means of communication and even transportation with the 'Sanctuary'."

He unfurls the massive scroll to reveal a complex Fuinjutsu formation.

The head of several Kages and commanders turns dizzy from a single glance at the series of runes and hieroglyphs on the scroll. The amount of information compressed on the scroll is too much for their mind to handle.

Only the eyes of Minato, Kushina, Mito, and a few Fuinjutsu nerds light up.

"Interesting! What a complex Fuinjutsu formation?" Mito mutters as she studies a small part of the fuinjutsu formation.

"This seems to be a teleportation formation?" Minato also recognizes a few spatial seals on the scroll.

Kushina also curiously studies the scroll.

"This Fuinjutsu formation… it's… it's above Grandmaster level. Is it a Sage-level Fuinjutsu formation?" She asks.

"No, it's not a Sage-level Fuinjutsu formation," Mito shakes her head.

"I have seen several ancient Sage-level Fuinjutsu formations in the Uzumaki clan treasury. I am afraid the complexity of this Fuinjutsu formation is even higher than that of a Sage formation!" Mito stares at the Fuinjutsu formation with fascination.

She turns towards Izuna.

"Also, I feel like this Fuinjutsu formation is incomplete."

"As expected of Lady Mito!" Izuna nods.

"Of course, Grandma was already a half-Sage Fuinjutsu expert." Kushina proudly puffs her chest. Then she turns to Izuna.

"So, what level is this Fuinjutsu formation?" Minato, Mito, Kushina, and other fuinjutsu experts curiously turn to Izuna for an answer.

"This is a God-level Fuinjutsu formation!" Izuna replies straightforwardly.

"God-level Fuinjutsu formation?" The fuinjutsu formation glance at each other in confusion.

Even Mito and Kushina are confused. Only Minato has a slight clue.

"How far apart is the Sage level and God level Fuinjutsu formation?" Kushina, unable to hold her curiosity, asks him.

"The peak of mortal skills in Fuinjutsu is at the sage level. A sage-level Fuinjutsu expert has already touched upon the rudimentary laws of the world and can draw on their power to change reality. However, he can't delve deeper into the true power of the cosmos." Izuna explains.

"Above a Sage is a Demi-God level Fuinjutsu expert. A Demi-God fuinjutsu expert can already use the power of the fundamental laws of the world to shape and manipulate reality. He can even meddle in the life, death, time, and space of the mortal world with his Fuinjutsu seals." Izuna continues.

'The good old 'Sage of Six Paths Hagoromo' has almost touched this level. He even created his own Demi-God level seal, the 'Six Paths Yin-Yang seal', to seal Kaguya, a Demi-God.'

"Grandmaster, Sage, Demi-god, God… does that mean?" Kushina turns to Izuna with surprise.

"That's right! After the Demi-God is the God-level Fuinjutsu seal. A God-level Fuinjutsu seal can freely interact with the chaotic laws of void and cosmos and is the pre-requisite to what we are about to do!" Izuna nods at her.

"So much to learn!" Kushina's lips pucker.

"And here I thought, being very close to Sage level is already an achievement. But now…" Kushina sighs and asks him.

"Izuna, are you already a God-level Fuinjutsu expert?"

"Well… technically, I am!" Izuna nods with slight hesitation.

'Before this, I was a Demi-god level Fuinjutsu expert. But with my ascension to godhood, I received a portion of memories from Ayaka's soul as an inheritance. So, I can create God-level Fuinjutsu formations, but my knowledge of this level is very shallow.'

Kushina ignores the hesitation in Izuna's eyes and continues to stare at the blueprint of the seal in fascination. While Izuna turns to Lady Mito.

"This Fuinjutsu formation is incomplete because it requires a powerful structure to support it."

Fwoosh…

Izuna takes out another massive scroll from his spatial pocket.

Bang…

The scroll lands on the ground with another loud thud.

Swish…

Izuna unfurls the scroll and lays it down on the ground. The rest of the non-Fuinjutsu users come closer to look.

A complex, intricate blueprint of a mega-structure is drawn on the scroll.

"This thing… it looks familiar!"

Someone murmurs after studying the design for a while.

"This looks like an arc gate and is similar to the one at Konoha's entrance." Naruto also glances at the blueprint and murmurs.

Hmm…

The other shinobis also change their perspective and take another look at the blueprint.

"Indeed! Now that I look closer, it's extremely similar to an arc gate."

The group raises their head and glances at Izuna for answers.

"Izuna-kun, is it really an arc gate?" Fugaku asks him after some slight hesitation.

"That's right! It's a gate!" Izuna nods.

"But it's not any simple gate. But it's a warp gate."

"A warp gate?" The unfamiliar yet familiar term captivates them.

"It's a massive mega-structure with the ability to bend space and traverse dimensions." Izuna throws a bunch of jargon, confusing them even further.

"In short, it's a door that allows us to travel to other worlds." Izuna helplessly explains it to them in simple words.

'I can finally build a warp gate, a fantasy of a sci-fi nerd in this technologically deficit world. This world doesn't have planes or other such technology, but they will have a warp gate soon.' Even Izuna feels flabbergasted.

'Though this warp gate is a bit different from the scientific creations. I found it in the ruins of a powerful ancient civilization. Unlike a regular warp gate with highly advanced technology, this gate uses Fuinjutsu to bend the laws of void and create a safe space passage between the two gates.'

Izuna looks at the excited expression of everyone.

'Though it will take a while to build this, given the current state of the world. By rough estimates, the gate would be ready in at least five years, give or take. I will bring a few people from 'Sanctuary' to complete the technical part. As for the Fuinjutsu inscription...' Izuna glances at the group of Fuinjutsu experts buzzing around the massive Fuinjutsu seal.

'Guess I got some free workers.'

Hmm...

"Speaking of which, I am forgetting something very important!"
