"Welcome! Come on in." Lucas says, greeting them.
I stand behind Lucas. He greets them one by one. He invited two guys and one girl. The girl and him seem close. It's the way she hugged him and placed her hand on him.
"I brought your favorite!" Dalton says, squeezing by Lucas's friends. He walks over to me with an Oreo ice cream box.
"My savior," I say, giggling.
Dalton saved the day from me being awkward with Lucas's friends.
"Bella, come here and meet my friends."
A wave of heat spread throughout my body. "Okay..." I say, getting nervous.
"This is Jack, Mike, and Melissa."
Jack is the one with the man bun and with black skinny jeans, Mike is the one with short brown hair that dresses like a dad, and Melissa is the only girl obviously, that is a blondie and has a party animal fashion style.
"Dalton come over here!" I say, looking behind me. "This is Dalton."
Lucas greets him graciously and so did his friends. We move to the kitchen where the party is.
"You know what time it is! Shot time!" Jacks says, going over to the whiskey.
Dalton and I look at each other knowing not what to do. Lucas's friends took hold of the alcohol and so did him.
"Do you guys want to play a game or something?" I say, putting my arms behind my back.
"Let's play spin the bottle! Every time it lands on you, you take a shot and then kiss." Melissa says, suggesting.
"Uh..." I say, looking over to Dalton then Lucas.
"Their underage, and I am her babysitter. I don't want her parents finding out she consumed alcohol."
"How old are you?" Melissa askes me.
"16."
"And you?" She says, pointing her finger at Dalton.
"17."
"I drank at his age. What's the problem? Lucas and I are long time friends and partied all the time at your age."
"Drop it, Melissa. Let's play truth or dare."
She rolls her eyes at him.
We went to the living room where Lucas's friends brought the party in here. We sat in a circle. Dalton and I brung our drinks of sprite and cool ranch Doritos.
"Mike, you go first," Melissa says to him.
"Alright, truth or dare, Jack."
"Dare." Jack answers.
"Starting risky," Lucas says, taking a drink from his beer bottle.
"I dare you to go kiss Bella," Mike says, looking over to me.
"Come here sugar," Jack says, opening his arms to me.
I look over to Lucas like what the fuck.
"If you won't come, then I will come to you." Jacks says, starting to get up.
He crawls over and leans over me as I sit with my legs crossed. He gives me a long smooch on the lips.
"See that wasn't so bad!" He says, leaning back and scooting back into his spot. "Your turn, sweetie."
"Uh, Dalton, truth or dare."
"Truth."
"Have you ever been caught doing something you shouldn't have?"
"Yeah, I once spray-painted on an abandoned building when the police chased me, but I got away."
"Woah, you are some badass," I say, laughing.
"Um... Melissa, truth or dare." Dalton asks hers.
She smiles. "Dare, of course."
"I dare you to do two shots."
"That's easy!" She says, pouring the first shot. "Truth or dare, Lucas."
"Truth."
Melissa leans back. "Have you ever fallen for one of your students."
He hesitates to look at me. "No."
"Where do you teach at?" Dalton askes Lucas.
"Dakota High School," Lucas replies.
"Oh, that's where Bella goes, and I'm enrolling this year."
"I might be your science teacher then."
"Your what? Mrs. Channing is coming back." I say, out of confusion.
"I got an email saying she is moving to another state with her husband because of his line of work and that they needed me to teach senior sciences."
"Dang, that's a shame. I wanted to see her baby boy." I say, thinking of her.
"Enough chatting, let's put the attention on somewhere else." Melissa interrupts.
"Okay, truth or dare Mike," Lucas says.
"Dare."
"Run around Bella's house in your underwear."
"Let's do this! Lucas come in, and join me." Mike says, beginning to unbuckle his belt.
He takes a shot of the whiskey. "Why not!"
"Oh, this is about to get good," I say to myself.
They ran around my house in their Calvin Klein boxers. Well... Mike has his whitey tighties on. I very well enjoyed Lucas's view. It's been about an hour, and they are all drunk. Lucas can check that off his bucket list. Dalton and I hung out alone playing the board game Sorry. I kicked his ass. I'm the queen at games.
"Let's do one more question for truth or dare," Mike says, intoxicated.
All of us agreed. We went back into the living and sat in a circle.
"Lucas, truth, or dare."
"Truth."
"Who would you like to kiss in this room?"
Lucas looks around. "Melissa, I suppose."
She grins. "I guess for old-time sakes?"
He smiles. "Sure."
They all left with a mess for Lucas and I to clean up. Dalton's dad came to pick him up, and I met him, and he was a nice gentleman. We didn't tell him that alcohol was in the house or he would probably be unable to come back.
"So uh, for the truth that Mike asked you about who would you like to kiss in this room. I thought you would have chosen me..."
"You know I would have, but the chance of me being your teacher again and I'm your 30-year-old babysitter, I couldn't take the risk."
I pick up the empty beer bottle. "Right... So you and Melissa."
"What about her?"
"She hinted that you guys have kissed before. Did you guys date?"
"Yes, for a short time. We are better off as friends."
"Did you guys get intimate?"
"That's personal, Bella."
"So you did..."
"Why does it matter? I have slept with several people Bell. I'm an adult you know."
"Oh, I see."
