Aiden Jenkins. Blasted Family

It feels like I've only just blinked my eyes before Hunter is shaking me awake. I've fallen asleep over my notes again, the table feels clammy under my cheek and palms. I lift my head up and wince when a throbbing started at the back of my head. The muscles of my neck and shoulders are sore, likely from bending forward in an awkward position all night. I look at Hunter to find he looks just as tired as he did last night.

"Have you not slept at all?" I question. My voice is dry and croaky. Again, I wince at the pain that my own voice caused to my head.

"Uh, no, not really. I can't sleep in this uncomfortable chair," he replies.

"I told you to go on up to the apartment, I'm totally fine alone," I tell him as I lift my hand to massage the back of my neck.

Hunter says nothing as he rises from the chair and quickly collects the scattered paper on the table.
