Apartment 12. Aiden Jenkins. Walked In

Next morning, what feels like the crack of dawn I feel a shift on the bed. Taking a glimpse behind me, the outline of Ash greets me as he carefully sits up from the bed, trying not to wake me in the process. His bare shoulders, now with a new layer of hard muscles, make the perfect form silhouetted with the flickering candle sitting on the bedside table behind him.

"You're going already?" I whisper up to him just as he puts on the pair of jeans that he'd thrown on the ground the previous night.

"Aw, baby," he whispers back, "I didn't want to wake you just yet but it's morning already. Mrs Gomez just gave a knock on the door. Twice for six-thirty."

I tuck my head under my pillow and groan. "Hasn't it only been like ten minutes?" I huff out.

"It was a bad idea to stay up till late last night, huh?" he says, "Well, we've got a big day ahead of us. Have you asked Jessica about the solar panels yet?"
