CLXI. Calcium Reinforcements.

The Patriarch and his three followers left didn't need to say anything to instinctively know that they'd be doomed if they didn't move. They all rushed to the cornice where the locked stone door was. But Vanilla remained on the cracked platform. "Get away from there," The Patriarch raised his voice. "You are going to fall!"

But Vanilla didn't move; she saw in a thinking paralysis the stone below her cracking down, and an idea surged in her mind. The amphibian monster was not going to stop harassing them until the last one of them spilled their blood. They had to take it down.

"Froggy! with me!" She yelled to the spirit frog, who was as well on the platform alongside the lion watching it fall. "You remain there," She told the cultists. "I got this."

The four men straightened their backs against the rocks, pointing their weapons down just in case The Fly Mauler struck again. "What are you going to do?" The Patriarch raised his voice, arching one eyebrow.
