Chapter 28

October 4th

Serenity's POV

I arrive back at Tae and Jennie's house with Yoongi and everyone's waiting there.

Jennie: So how was your first day? Tell me all about it.

Serenity: It was ok. We had to drop something off at the school, had a meeting, and Tae got mad at us for being a few minutes late.

Jennie: Oh wow.

Yoongi: I know right. He was pouting and saying he wanted soup so I had to go and grab that for him.

Serenity: Oh and while I was at the hospital, Tae and Yoongi told me about the thing....

Jennie: The thing...oh...

she sighs.

Jennie: Well I guess we can't really do anything it, can we?

Serenity: No I guess not. I also heard Tae's birthday is coming up.

Jennie: Ah yes! The 14th! Since he's getting discharged on the 10th, I think we will have enough time to prep.

Serenity: Yes....umm.....now we will be leaving soon but I need to have a word with my brother.....

Jimin: Me?

Serenity: Yes.

We both walk into Tae's room and close the door.

Jimin: W-what did you want to talk about?

Serenity: Oh you know what I'm talking about.

Jimin: I don't k-know what you m-mean.

Serenity: You're a very bad liar.

Jimin: I-

Serenity: I'm talking about the military service letter. Tae and Yoongi got theirs.....

Jimin sighs.

Jimin: I guess you can just see right through me.... yes I got the letter and I've told mom as well.

Serenity: You told mom but not me?

Jimin: I didn't want to worry yo-

Serenity: WORRY ME?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? I'M YOUR SISTER!! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TELL ME STUFF LIKE THIS!

Jimin: I-I'm sorry-

Serenity: I...already have to let go of my best friend and my husband because of the military service. The least you could do is tell me stuff like this when it happens....

Jimin: I know...and I'm sorry.

He embraces me in his arms and I can't help but cry.

Serenity: I heard that this year, you'd have to go into the North Korea Military Base....is it true?

Jimin: ...yes...

I crumble into a crying mess as Yoongi and the others burst in.

Yoongi: Serenity.....

Jennie: We heard everything from outside..

Serenity: What.....if something happens to you? W-what if you-

Yoongi: Babe....look at me. Nothing is going to happen. Everything will be alright. We'll all come back in one piece.

Jimin: Sis.....there is nothing to worry about.

Serenity: Jimin....you are all going to a north Korean military base! You do know how cruel they are! No one ever really goes in and come out completely unharmed!

Yoongi: We have a lot of time to talk about this.....everything will be fine. But you need some rest tonight..

I sigh.

Serenity: Alright.

-Time skip to October 10th-

Today is the of Tae's return home. He has recovered a lot but there's no guarantee that he will survive till December. Jennie, Yoongi, Jimin, and I are on our way to the hospital right now.

Jimin: It's finally the day of Tae's return.

Yoong: Yep.

Serenity: Wait when do we go back to school again?

Yoongi: Not for a while, I don't think. Because we were supposed to miss school for a while because of what was going on but we are also on Thanksgiving break now too. I think it's till November 20th.

Serenity: Oh ok!

Jennie: Umm actually Serenity, I need to talk to you about something when we get home.

Serenity: Oh ok! Sure!

Once we arrive at the hospital, we fill out all the paperwork and bring Tae back home.

Tae: Wow. It's good to be back.

Jimin: How are you feeling? Sorry I couldn't drop by often.

Tae: Oh it's fine. Also, I feel better actually.

Jimin: Oh well that good.

Jennie: Serenity.

Serenity: Oh right! I'll be right back guys.

Jennie and I walk into her room and we both sit on the bed.

Serenity: Is everything alright?

Jennie: Well, as you know, I got the lost item ability once I had turned 16 a while ago before your birthday in March. I would get everything my soulmate lost.

Serenity: Oh yea. How's that going?

Jennie: Well there's been some shocking stuff going on.

Serenity: What's that?

Jennie: Well I've been getting some normal items like earbuds and books. I even got a tie.

Serenity: Then what's the matter?

Jennie stands up and heads to her drawer. She pulls something out and turns to me again. She sits down and hands me the item.

My eyes widen.

Serenity: It can't be...

Jennie: Yea....

Serenity: It's a photo.....of Jungkook's family...
