Chapter 26

Serenity's POV

Tae rushes in front of Jungkook and instead of Jungkook getting hit, he gets hit for him.

Jungkook: No!

Tae falls to the ground and Mr Jeon is shocked.

Jungkook then grabs his gun and shoots Mr Jeon.

Mr Jeon: Ah! Jungkook!

Jungkook: Dad, leave!!! I don't ever want to see you again!

Mr Jeon hesitates but because of his current, we retreats

Mr Jeon: Men let's go.

They help Mr Jeon out of the basement and we rush over to Tae.

Jungkook: Taehyung! Tae! Can you hear me?

Tae: A-Are you ok? Is he gone?

Jungkook: Yes he's gone. Don't worry. Stay with us.

Jimin: Tae....

Jungkook takes his phone and calls 911.

Jungkook: They said they will be here in less than 5 mins.

Serenity: Tae, hold on. You're gonna make it.

Soon we hear the ambulance. Doctors rush in and take Tae on a stretcher as they put him on the ambulance.

Jimin: We'll follow right behind you.

The doctor nods and starts driving towards the hospital.

We all get in the car and Mrs Kim has her hand to her head as she starts praying for Tae.

I hold her hand and she smiles weakly.

Once we reach the hospital, we rush in and we see Tae get wheeled into the operation room.

A few hours later, the doctors come out.

Mr Kim: How is he?

The doctor sighs.

Doctor: He is alive-

Mrs Kim: Oh thank the lord.

Doctor: But he has a 60% chance that he won't make it to the end of this year.

Mrs Kim gasps and falls to her knees.

Serenity: Mrs Kim!

I catch her and kneel down.

Mrs Kim: No.....

Serenity: I'm so sorry....

Jimin: Let's go in and see him.

We all walk in and see Tae lying down on the bed as his parents rush over to him.

Mrs Kim: Oh thank goodness you're alive! I was so worried! Are you alright?! Anywhere hurt?!

Mr Kim: Oh calm down. We see that he's ok. Let the kids talk to him.

We all rush over to him.

Yoongi: Hey...how do you feel? You ok?

Tae: Yea don't worry.

Jennie: We were so worried.

Jungkook: Why....would you do that?

Tae: It's better than you getting killed.

Jungkook: What do you mean?!? So it's rather you die than me?!? My life isn't more valuable than yours!

Tae: Hey! Don't worry about it! I'm alright, aren't I?

Serenity: wait...Has the doctor told you?

Tae: Told me what?

We all looked at one another and Jennie takes a deep breath.

Jennie: The doctor said.....that there is a 60% chance that you won't make it to the end of this year.

Tae: W-what?

Jungkook bends over and crouches with his head in his hands.

Jungkook: I'm so sorry!! You should have just let me die! It's not like I have family or anything but you do! What will happen if you don't make it!?!?

Tae: Jungkook, it's fine if I don't make it. I've lived my life now you have to live yours. I'm gonna make the best out of my life if this is really the end but never blame yourself for this. Besides, it's the 4th of October. I still have a lot of time left🙂.

-Time skip-

We all wake up in the morning, drowsy and out of energy. So much had happened all in one night. Club, kidnap, break in, hospital.

It was 9 am in the morning and Yoongi comes in.

Yoongi: Good morning Babe.

Serenity: Uhhh more like bad morning to me. I'm exhausted.

Yoongi: Sorry to hear that 😕. But we have to go to the office today. The good thing is, no one knew about your pregnancy besides us and Lisa so your miscarriage won't be a hassle but since we are now CEO's, we need to go to work.

Serenity: How about school?

Yoongi: Dad talked to the principal. He said we won't be coming to school for a while.

Serenity: Oh ok. Well I'm gonna take a shower and get dressed then.

Yoongi: Ok. I told Jennie I'd meet her at the company.

Serenity: Anything else planned?

Yoongi: After checking in at the office, we're gonna go visit Tae, then stop by at the school to drop off something at the administrative office.

Serenity: Oh ok!

After getting ready, we head out.

Once we reach the office, bodyguards rush to our sides as we get out of the car and are flooded my reporters.

Reporter: Mrs Kim, will you be continuing school even after becoming CEO?

Serenity: Yes I wi-

Reporter: The news about Mr Kim getting shot, is that true?

Yoongi: How did that news get out?

Reporter: When will you be taking your parents place's fully?

Yoongi: After we graduate.

Once we get away from reporters, we head into the meeting office where our parents, office workers, and Jennie are waiting.

Jennie: Took you two long enough.

Serenity: We were crowded my reporters outside.

Mrs Kim: Well I'm glad you could make it before the meeting started. Now then, before our big discussion, any questions?

Yoongi: Yes. How did the news about Taehyung getting shot, get out?

Mr Kim: People were filming when we were in the hospital. It was everywhere on social media which is our topic for today. As we know, this is not the first time that Taehyung has created a scandal. As we all remember the wedding.

Mrs Kim: So we are discussing what to do. Serenity, you will take notes on the ideas given and the people who have said it.

???: I have an idea.

Mrs Kim: Please state your role in this office and state your idea.

Head Secretary: I am the head secretary and my idea is to cause a distraction, whatever it may be.

Assistant Howard: I believe that the only way to cause a distraction is to make one up.

Mr Kim: Well of course we don't want to spread fake news though.

Assistant Howard: Ah yes well you see, if we are going to try to direct the public eye from Mr Kim to somewhere else, I believe it must be done by the young CEOs.

Serenity and Yoongi: Us?

Head Secretary: Yes yes that is a good idea. Rather than it be someone else, Mr Kim and Mrs Kim will create a bigger impact.

Serenity: What scene would we have to make though?

Yoongi: Well....we could try Plan A again babe.

Serenity: Plan A?

Yoongi whispers in my ears and my eyes widen. Maybe....this might work.
