Chapter 29

After our match with Tokonami it soon time for our match against Shiratorizawa. I watched their match and found most of their habits for the players. However it will take time for the plan to work. Tendou also knows something is up so they should be expecting it.

I have a plan but it will take time. Putting the pressure on them will be key and to also make them get used to the fact that Ushiwaka is left handed. Nishinoya will need time.

I'll go with the absolute defence. It will give Nishinoya more chances to get the ball in the air.

I arrived at the team and looked at the coach. He nodded and got the rest of them to shut up and listen.

" You already know about Ushiwaka and the rest Shiratorizawa. However the biggest threat is still Ushiwaka. Nishinoya we'll be counting on you to get most of his spikes in the air as soon as possible. Daichi sempai and Kurokawa sempai don't slack off and try to adjust to his spikes.

To give Nishinoya more chances we'll be using the formation absolute defence. Me and Asahi will go in for the block to shut down his cross court shots and force him into straights.

As we head onto the court I did a few stretches before stopping and looking around.

" Dai chan how's life?"

I turned to the voice and saw it was Tendou.

" Pretty good. You? "

" Really good right now. "

" Ho how so? "

" Because I get to play against my precious kouhai. "

" You haven't changed a bit. Here I thought that after your coach took you to hell you would. "

" I still haven't gotten you back for that so I'll do it in the match. "

" Okay. " Daiki said with a deadpan expression similar to saitama.

" If only you were bald then that would be perfect replication. " Tendou mutters.

" Hianta Daiki. " A voice says from behind them.It was Ushiwaka.

" I'll beat you. "

"Maybe. Maybe not. Either way I'll come at you with everything. You better do the same. "

" That's a given. "

They then gave demon like grins while releasing pressure at each other. However they were interrupted when Tendou hit the back of their heads.

" As much I want to watch the 2 of you.. do whatever it is you are doing the match is about to start. "

" Really. " Daiki said.

" Okay let's go. " Ushiwaka said.

" Bye Dai chan. " Tendou says before following Ushiwaka.

The match started with Shiratorizawa serving first. The ball went to Karasunos side where Nishinoya receives it. The ball goes to Suga. He sets the ball to Kurokawa who spiked it straight down the middle.

Shiratorizawa libero receives it and sent it to Shirabu. He set it to Ushiwaka. Ushiwaka did his run up and spiked the ball. Shiratorizawa thought that they would get the point so they relaxed when Ushiwaka ran up.

However two arms come up in front of the ball. It was Daiki. The ball hit his arms as he used a soft block and slowed down the ball so it went to Nishinoya. As the ball fell Shiratorizawa was shocked they didn't think someone would be able to block their ace.Ushiwaka however was smiling.

" I got it. " Nishinoya yelled.

The ball then went to Suga who set the ball to Asahi. He spiked it but was shut down by Tendou. The ball was about to hit the floor but was kicked into the air. Daiki used his foot to get the ball into the air. The ball went to Suga.

Daiki then went back and began to run up. The ball went into Suag fingers and sent the ball to Daiki. Daiki spiked the ball in the right corner of Shiratorizawa side of the court.

" Yeah!!!" Nishinoya yells.

Soon the rest of Karasuno yells as well. Coach had demon smile on his face. Takeda was shocked before cheering. Kiyoko just smiled but inside she was also excited.

Tendou turned back to Daiki and just stared before giving a wide grin. Daiki returned with his own.

Ushiwaka just stood in place while replaying that spike in his mind. He then turned towards Daiki. Daiki looked at him as well. It went for a few seconds before they released grins at each other.

Coach Washijo looked at the play before looking at the interaction between Daiki and Ushiwaka.

' This match will be fun. ' He thought as Daiki and Ushiwaka got back to their positions.
