Chapter 56 : Mars vs Mr.K

"Mr. K has beaten his 20th enemy. And the number of his win keeps rising. Who is this masked partner of Noche? Could he be a promising victor of B block?" Pandora yelled.

Mars suddenly jumps in front of Kaizo. He swings his sword at Kaizo's head. Kaizo took a step back and parried it with his steel sword. They exchange glances for a moment before taking one step back.

"Mars is charging at Mr.K. Two promising bounty hunters are in battle. Which one will be victorious? The A-class bounty hunter Mars or S-class bounty hunter's sidekick, Mr. K?" Pandora vigorously yelled.

The crowd's cheer getting louder. Their attention now goes to bounty hunters.

"So, you're Noche's partner," said Mars.

Kaizo didn't reply.

"Let's see how good you are for sticking around an S class bounty hunter," said Mars.

Mars lunged at Kaizo. He does multiple stab attacks at Kaizo. Kaizo swiftly evades and parries Mars' attack as he gets pushed back.

Mars smirked. "Is this the best you can do? I guess the title Noche's partner isn't as good as it sounds."

Kaizo didn't reply. Mars attacks are fast and accurate. Leaving no space for Kaizo to look away.

"Mars keeps lunging at Mr. K. He keeps attacking nonstop. Mr. K in a pinch! Ohhh... they're getting close to the edge of the arena. Will Mr. K go beyond white lines and be eliminated?" Pandora yelled.

Kaizo almost got out of the arena. Before Mars does his final attack, Kaizo ducked and rolled aside. Mars swings his sword to the side. Still kneeling, Kaizo holds his attack. Their sword clashed in a tense fight of strength.

Kaizo pushed Mars away. He began to counter-attack.

Mars smirked "Heh! not bad. But..."

Mars suddenly lunged at Kaizo. Kaizo managed to tilt his head. Mars sword missed his head by 1 cm. Kaizo pulled back a few steps.

"Looks like Accurate Rapid Sabre isn't just a name," said Kaizo.

"Of course! I am the fastest swordsman in the solar system. Not only fast, my attack is also accurate. A slowpoke like you won't be able to defeat me," said Mars as he pointed his sabre at Kaizo.

Suddenly, a rumbling sound slowly gets louder along with screams of fighters. Both Kaizo and Mars stop fighting.

"Ooohhh... The bull of Maxima is running wild!" Pandora yelled. "The alien bull, Sirloin is butting fighters with his horn.

"I'll crush you all! Mooo...." Sirloin the bull alien yelled as he ran around the arena.

"20, 21, 22. Sirloin threw his enemy far away to outside the arena. And he's running towards the two bounty hunters!" Pandora yelled.

Sirloin snorts. He raised his speed and prepared to butt at Kaizo and Mars. Both Kaizo and Mars jump back. Unable to stop, Sirloin went out of the white line and hit the wall. Dust filled the arena.

"Sirloin charged straight to the wall. What happened to the bounty hunters?" Pandora yelled.

The crowds got silent. They nervously watch. Dust smoke begins to clear.

"T-they... They're still standing!!! The two bounty hunters are still standing!" Pandora yelled.

The crowds cheered.

"Unbelievable! Sirloin beat most fighters in the arena, including Titus! Now, there's only two fighters left in the arena. Mr. K vs Mars!" Pandora yelled.

Mars and Kaizo continue their fight.

"Mr. K and Mars have the speed and skills. Both of them fight in a fierce swordplay. Their sword is so fast I could hardly see it!" Pandora yelled.

"What amazing swordsman...." Albi mumbled. "What do you think, lady Axion?"

"Right..." Axion mumbled. "Mars speed is one step faster than Mr. K. But Mr.K's reflex is starting to get used to it. All it takes is just one moment, a few seconds of losing focus, and the tide of the battle would change."

"Indeed. With such speed and skills, one must never look away from the enemy at hand," said Albi.

"But, if both are in par in terms of speed and skill, then what is left is endurance. It will only be a matter of time until one of them runs out of stamina," Axion adds.

If it's strength, it's possible that Kaizo has the upper hand. However, Kaizo is often overconfident.

"You may be the strongest and the smartest cadet in Astraeus station. But it will be too bold to think that you're the strongest in this galaxy," Axion thought to herself.

The battle continues. Kaizo's clothes are filled with cuts. On the other hand, Mars clothes are less damaged.

"What's wrong? Already done?" Mars sneered.

Kaizo breathes heavily. If he used his energy power, he could've ended this battle long ago. Suddenly, Kaizo caught a glimpse of Axion at the corner of his eyes. She's watching with Albi.

Mars suddenly lunged at him. Slightly startled, Kaizo managed to parry.

"To think you have the time to look away during our battle, you're so cocky for someone who's about to lose," said Mars.

Kaizo takes one deep breath and puts on a stance, determined to win this battle no matter what. He charges at Mars at full speed.

"Mr. K's attack just got more ferocious than before. Could it be? Is this his last attack?" Pandora yelled.

Mars still managed to parry Kaizo's attack. But he got overwhelmed by Kaizo's strength. He got pushed back. Suddenly, Mars' sword slipped off his hand.

"Ooohhhh... the table has turned. Mr. K has knocked Mars' sword!" Pandora yelled.

Kaizo doesn't let this chance slip. He immediately put a finishing blow on Mars. Mars got knocked out.

"And the winner of B block is... Mr. K!" Pandora yelled.

The crowds cheered. Ramenman and the others let out a relieved sigh. Axion kept her composure, refusing to admit that she was worried.
