The Results of Training

Yielya gasped for air, "This is too much!"

She fell onto the floor, exhausted. She had finally distracted the BOSS enough to sneak past. Yet the moment she enter the BOSS locked onto her and chased her for a time longer than Yielya was willing to admit.

After finally losing the BOSS in the room her quest was leading her too, she decided to take a breather.

She looked up at the item, "Ah, it's so far away. Why don't you come closer. . ."

Tringg~

The item was replaced with a next to Yielya. She momentarily forgot her exhaustion and looked at the item and the stone, "Eh?"

She picked up the item warily, how had it gotten closer?

Her view was overtaken with a large amount of notifications, but she was more focused on how the item got closer.

Slowly her surroundings changed into a white room. In the room was a single table, two chairs, and a woman sitting on one of the chairs.

Yielya looked up, the woman was clearly the Priest from her hidden class. Except this time the mask was gone.

The Priest smiled, "Come, sit."

Yielya did as she was told. The Priest then continued, "Normally I would spend this limited time to tell my story and provide you with a reward. However it seems you have unknowingly unlocked something."

"What?"

"The object swap you did. That wasn't chance or a skill I can provide."

". . . What is it then?"

"You have something called a War Sight, a legendary power few can unlock. It's powers can range from invincible to useless. This is your own."

"A legendary power? Doesn't that require some trial or something? Why would I get it from some silly thought?"

"It is not the silliest thought in history."

"Now I am interested. What is the silliest thought? Oh, for the person who unlocked this 'War Sight' of course."

"That would be the Hero Loxit, upon unlocking his own War Sight he said: 'What if I had a glowing sword?'"

". . ."

"At that moment a glowing sword appeared next to him. Later we found out it was his War Sight, named Lux Aeterna."

"Heh."

"War Sight's are unlocked in bizarre circumstances, yours happened to be now. You should consider yourself lucky."

"Ha, that's what my friends say. I disagree."

"Regardless, my time is short so I shall say this. Find the Seer of hallowed wood. She will fully grant your War Sight."

"Seer of hallowed wood? Where is hallowed wood?"

Yet the surroundings faded and Yielya found herself back in the room. She cursed, "I despise answers like these! Why make it so mysterious? It's not cool! It's annoying!"

Yielya looked at the item, it was a golden cross on a chain. An accessory that provided a single life saving skill per day, along with a boost to her healing effectiveness. She equipped it without hesitation, for she had yet to obtain a neck accessory.

"Now. . . where is hallowed wood?"

Three in game months have passed. The party had gone through training both rough and easy. Yet one thing is certain, they were far stronger than before.

Tilia had stumbled upon a retired Seer amongst her travels. After helping out with some issues the Seer offered to name her War Sight.

As such Tilia's War Sight had been named: |Immovable Mountain|.

With it she gained the +80% to all stats for unlocking the War Sight. Along with it she gained a special buff due to her War Sight's unique properties.

Normally a player's HP value is their defense stat times 10. However Tilia's HP value was her defense times 100. Making her the player with the most HP in the entire game.

The ability of |Immovable Mountain| is quite simple. She had a force field in which she was able to control in whatever shape she wanted. Except for when it surrounds something, in that case it will always look like a mountain.

She was able to coat herself in the energy, create a large barrier with it, and her favorite: make a shield out of the energy.

She no longer took knockback from blows no matter how much strength the opponent had. Though she still lost some HP. She could also be grabbed and thrown, for that did not count as knock back.

Kan'na had her own War Sight named. Due to its properties the name: |Writer of Law| was bestowed. She also received the stat increase.

Wrock had finally understood the properties of his own War Sight, A bright blue flame that crackled with electricity would form on his fist at will. This tripled his current stats whilst active, while also providing some debuffs on those who receive attacks from it.

This flame held the cold touch of ice, the burning properties of fire, and the speed and agility of lightning. As long as it was active, his attacks would also be infused with this element.

Wrock had found a Seer and had it named. The Seer had named it |Elemental Fusion| due to its properties. Wrock had also received the stat increase.

Jarvis had finally convinced Guarton to join. After having the four Sages under his control his tools underwent a change.

The Instrument of Life had fused with Jarvis, becoming part of him. The Book of Life was now permanently linked with him. This made Jarvis the only individual to be able to control the Book of Life.

This gave him a major increase in not only stats, but in abilities as well. His max summon count increased to five. He no longer needed to play the instrument to summon his tames. And the Book of Life would float alongside of him at will.

Akiol had mastered the art of Aura and fully grasped its properties. He had chosen the best way to utilize catalysts to empower himself. Now his Aura's power rivaled that of top tier Berserk Skills.

Yielya had spent far too long searching for the Seer of hallowed wood. When it turned out to be a Seer who lived in a hallowed out tree. Despite her anger with the Priest she had her War Sight named. As such it was named: |Bell of Interchanging|

Yielya had also received the stat increase. This further solidified her spot as the number one Priest. Though no one knew this.

Yielya's War Sight made two things 'exchange' their positions with each other. Yielya had yet to find the upper limit of this, but she found that bigger objects would give her a headache upon exchanging their positions. Due to this she has yet to find the limit of her War Sight.

And so, with their training complete the party has decided to meet up. Now they would have to grow accustomed to each other's new abilities.

Whilst they practiced a certain individual clenched his fist excitedly...

"I finally have my power back! To think it would arrive a month earlier than expected. Very well, this gives me more time to prepare. . ."

'So. . . what's your plan now?'

Travis leaned his head on a tree, "I am not sure. I require more power before I can obtain the materials for your repair. It's always like this. More power needed for something, it's like my efforts never bear fruit."

'That's because you aim too high. Every step you make seems to be calculated for this goal you wish to achieve. Don't you think you are carrying too much on your shoulders?'

Travis gave a halfhearted laugh, "An opportunity has been given to me to change the future to something far more pleasant. There is no one who can help carry this."

'That's because you haven't tried.'

"No, it's because there is no need for me to try. Caring for another to grow alongside me for my goals isn't optimal. Besides, I have you for a companion don't I?"

'. . .'

"Hey, answer that at least. You're making me look very sad."

'Your only companion is a sword. . .'

"Why are you sounding like you are pitying me? Aren't you one of the lower eight? You have a human shape as well right?"

'So lonely that you speak to a sword. . .'

"Hey!"

'It's so sad! You sound so alone!'

"Alright that's it."

'Wait wait, alright. You're right, I am quite the companion to travel with. I am just saying, you don't need to go this far.'

"For the future I want, I must."

'A future you want, what about others?'

"It will benefit them as well."

'There is no such thing as benefits without a catch. Regardless on how fair you try to make things there has to be a downside. Someone, or many will suffer from this.'

"Suffer? Not quite, but I will even the playing field. Those who abuse what they have been given will soon find everything they have gone. I will not allow the suffering to take place again."

'If you want such a future, you cannot do it alone.'

"Then help me."

'You know what I mean.'

"I am aware, but who will believe me?"
