"I'm telling you, Earthen, no one will catch us." Simone shook her head as she looked out the window. "It's too high up. We'll have to use our magic."

Earthen let out a deep breath. "I'm not so sure about this...." Her friend had gotten her into more messes than she could count, but that was one of the reasons why she liked her. Where Earthen tended to be shy, Simone was the epitome of outgoing, always pushing the limits.

"Oh, come on, Earthen, live a little."

Before she could object, Simone took her hands and gave them a gentle squeeze, clearly excited. "I've just learned this spell, and I'm dying to try it out." She gave her an impish grin, batting her eyes. "Please? For me? I promise I won't ask anything else of you again."

"Yeah, right!" Earthen rolled her eyes. "That's what you always say."

Simone's eyes widened. "So, you'll go?"
