A Party in High Society (Part 2)

Akane was currently doomed to death by boredom. Going to a party in high society is exhausting. Very exhausting, more exhausting than the insane training regime she puts herself through every morning.

It was annoying, all the question from these adults who asked with whom she was here, all the girls that approached her and tried to flirt with her, because she was a handsome boy. All the boys that stared at her with jealous gazes and tried to flaunt with the wealth of their family.

Akane wondered for a moment. Were they all retarded? This is a society, yes, a society were money and power makes you king, but didn't the parents of all these conglomerates children teach them mannerism, being polite? That they shouldn't flaunt their wealth, because if they did that in front of the wrong person, they will get ruined? To be just as polite to a beggar as to someone with wealth and fame?

But here she stood in the middle of it, some stupid children flaunting with the wealth of their FAMILY. Akane preferred Majeta over each of them any day, she at least had a decent brain up there.

After a while she was pretty tired from being surrounded by cocky brats and flirting girls. She was pissed and wanted to be out of there, so she did just that. She hid her presence and disappeared into the crowd that just talked to her. Works every time.

After she walked out of the crowd she decided to stand outside on the balcony, of course not without a big plate of food. She stood there and enjoyed the fresh air, she looked up into the sky and wondered. She wondered how the moon would look like, she knew how stars looked like thanks to that mysterious 'chill' room, but she still didn't know how the moon looked.

She knew many things about it. That it has a moon cycle thanks to its rotation around the earth. That it stabilizes the earth orbit with its gravitational pull, that it supposedly was created because a planet that was a little bit littler than the earth crashed into the earth and the debris of both of them pulled each other together, creating two spheres. She knew many things about the moon, but she never saw it, she never had the chance to see it.

"Beautiful, isn't it? Sometimes during these events I just like to look at the night sky and enjoy the cold breeze of the air."

Akane didn't walk away, she could feel that this girl had no impure intentions, she approached her just because of the same reason she chose to walk to the balcony. She wanted to get out of these unpleasant crowds. Akane chuckled, she decided to tease the girl, by speaking like she normally did, sounding like a girl.

"I wouldn't know, I can't see after all."

"What? You were a girl?!"

"What? This surprises you more than me being blind? How nice of you to consider my feelings."

The girl gagged at Akanes words. It was a pretty damaging counter to everyone after all.

"I didn't mean it like that, all right?! I am sorry if I offended you in any way!"

Akane chuckled again, but this time it turned into laughter.

"You don't have to be, I was just teasing you, you know? Honestly, I am just here, because a friend of mine was about to beg me to attend, but I didn't really want to see her kneel down, so in the end I agreed, just as simple as that."

"See?"

Akane pointed at her eyes.

"They are pretty blank, right? No reflection is visible from them."

The girl nodded. Akane was glad that she understood what it implied so quickly.

"I see with echolocation, are you familiar with that concept?"

"You mean the ability that bats use to orientate themselves in dark caves? Of course, I am familiar with that concept!"

"Huh, you are the first one that I didn't have to explain everything in detail. Finally, someone that I don't have to lead step by step with examples."

The girl gulped at the statement of Akane, she didn't know if the girl complimented her or just stated an unpleasant fact.

"Say, does my personality unsettle you a bit?"

The girl nodded.

"If I am going to be honest, yes. It unsettles me."

Akane nodded, she understood, she was pretty embarrassed about the ACTs she chose to choose.

"Well, I am quite tired from this evening, so I might be acting a bit different than usual, for that I apologize to you."

Akane bowed down, she was really exhausted at this night.

"No! You don't have to, I honestly understand you, I tend to act a bit different to when I am tired of these social gatherings, just not to this extend."

"Well, I guess we just met at the wrong time, how about we repeat this."

Akane stopped leaning against the railing and stood properly in front of the girl, she stretched her hand out for a handshake.

"My name is Seigi Akane, nice to meet you."

The girl accepted Akanes extended hand and grasped it.

"I am Yaoyorozu Momo, the pleasure is on my part too."

That was the first encounter of the president and vice-president of UAs' future class 1A.

"So, what was the reason your friend invited you here?"

"Oh, she is the daughter of the CEO of the company 'Königskrone' I just guess she was just uncomfortable without a friend near her."

Momo chuckled.

"That arrogant girl? Uncomfortable about being alone? Are you sure about that?"

Akane nodded at Momo's amused statement.

"Well, she might seem off as arrogant, but she knows where she stands and moves alongside that line in a balance act, so I can't really blame her for acting arrogant in front of people she considers below here."

"But I am still sure she should at least try to act humbler, with this attitude she won't get reliable allies."

"Believe me, she knows how to pick them out from the crowd and for now, I am going to act as her safety net."

"You, a safety net? What kind of backing do you have to act so high and mighty?"

Akane pointed at her chest, to be more specific, at her heart.

"I don't need anything else than myself to back someone up."

Akane said these words with such a serious and confident face that Momo couldn't help, but think about her words seriously, until the meaning of the words hit her and she started to laugh.

"Only yourself? That's a good joke, Seigi-san."

Akane responded nothing to her, well yes it will just seem as boasting now, but she intended to change that.

"Welp..."

Akane stood up and stretched.

"...I'll go back in, I think Majeta needs an abduction from all these obnoxious rich kids that are bothering her!"

Akane walked back in and waved at Momo, she waved back, this was certainly an interesting encounter for her tonight.

Majeta was currently putting a dazzling smile on her face. But under that mask was a girl that was currently pretty angry.

Her thoughts currently consisted of, 'When will this trash please stop talking to me! Don't they see that I have no interest in this conversation. Don't they see that I am annoyed? Do these guys have beans for brains? How stupid can someone be!? Please, someone, anyone, GET ME OUT THIS CROWD OF IDIOTS!'

"Majeta-san, I am here with our drinks? Hmm, could you please introduce me to the gentleman that you are currently have a pleasant talk with?"

Finally, her rescue came, she waited for it.

"Hm, who do you mean? Oh, you mean these mongrels that don't understand that a lady is clearly having no interest in them and yet still approach her? You don't need to worry, Arata-kun. We don't need to bother with trash like them that don't understand to treat a lady."

"If you say so."

To say the least, the group of boys was pretty angry and one of them even tried to grab Majetas wrist, but before he could do that Akane caught his arm first.

"Don't you know that it is very rude to touch a lady without her consent? If you understand, piss off. Majeta doesn't want to bother with you, so kindly leave her in peace!"

The boy backed off, after feeling Akanes' intense killing intent, at least he wasn't too retarded to understand when he had to back off.

Akane and Majeta walked to a quieter place to talk about the events up till now.

"Well, did anything worthwhile happen tonight, or did I basically come along with you, without any gain?"

Majeta coughed once she heard Akanes words, but she quickly calmed down again.

"If it's about special things, I guess seeing your eyes open and you in man's clothing would count."

She said these words with a light blush on her cheek, Akane chuckled at her reaction, before sighing.

"You know what I meant, something special outside of things you just could have asked me for you to do."

"You mean I could have asked you to cross-dress and you would have done it for me?"

Akane nodded.

"Pretty much, yeah. The only reason why I prefer woman's' clothing is because I like to appear as 'cute' and not 'handsome', you know? I wouldn't really feel any repulse if you asked me to wear man's clothing. But I guess from your answer to my original question, it means that tonight didn't happen anything special. How disappointing. Why is this party held anyways? "

"You don't know?"

Akane shook her head, she didn't know.

"Todays the birthday of the daughter of the famous hero family Yoayorozu. It's a rather old family that nurtures a great heir to the family each year, I heard that the daughter of this generation is a great genius, probably even rivaling me in terms of intelligence, I don't know about you, but I consider her a deal of interest that I should have a few connection with, but I just couldn't get a hold on her the entirety of the party!"

"Huh, a genius, I hope she will be able to handle the pressure of expectations, not from the ones around her, but from herself, this happened to you Majeta, you broke down, because you couldn't fulfill your own expectations. You just barely were able to overcome them, because you almost reached the bottom."

Majeta was silent for a moment, she tensed but quickly tried to calm down again. As the heir of the 'Königskrone' company she couldn't stay down for too long, she knew how it felt, sometimes you just wanted to give up on everything and stay down, embracing your new fate.

"On a side note, Yaoyorozu? Is the girls name Momo?"

Majeta was pulled out of her mind after hearing Akanes' question.

"Yes, her name is Momo, how do you know about it?"

"I just met her on the balcony, she said she was pretty tired from mingling around there, we had a pleasant conversation, I could cut to more complicated topics without having to worry about her not being able to follow me. We talked about the stars, the cosmos, ancient mythology, mystery novels and even some politics, it honestly was fun."

"You know that you could talk with me about that stuff too, right?"

"I might, but I already know you well enough to talk with you about topics you favor, you know I might be proud of my intelligence quotient, but I am even more proud of my emotional quotient!"

Majeta opened her eyes wide in surprise, before narrowing them again and putting on a light smile.

"Seriously, you are prouder about your EQ than IQ, this is the first time I heard someone bragging about that."

"Well, I don't really have a choice, other people's feelings are the same as my feelings, so I act on them."

Majeta was confused about Akanes statement, but before she could ask for more details Akane already walked away, it was not the time yet to reveal her particular circumstances.

Meanwhile on the other hand of the party:

Fumio was harassed by a stranger that just couldn't understand the words 'get away from me you creep, I don't want to have anything to do with you, so please keep a distance of 13 meters away from me'.

She didn't exactly know when, but he practically harassed her since about the beginning of the party, at first, she was inclined to politely reject him, but it got harsh and harsher the longer he kept persisting.

At this point Fumio considered to put him against a trial, for sexual harassment, abuse of authority, attempted drugging (of her drink (seven times already)), attempted rape and the entirety of crimes she could attach to him, before letting him off in trial.

But she refrained from doing so, she didn't want to make a scene in the birthday party of a girl that was the same age as her daughter. She wanted peace and quiet for a moment, so she decided to take a walk in the garden.

But that guy still followed her.

"Hey, I think we might have started with the wrong foot with each other, how about..."

She slapped him across the face, she hit him so hard that he lost balance and needed to take a few steps to regain it.

"I already gave you SO many signs that I am ABSOLUTELY NOT interested in you in the slightest way, I tried to be polite at first, but you apparently don't want to understand. I mean I know that there us the misconception of a woman saying no, when they in truth mean yes, but do I remotely look like a Tsundere? Like a teasing prostitute? Like a secret agent trying to seduce you? Like a woman that can't be direct about her love-life feelings? I don't care what you answer, piss off now, before it's too late."

Fumio turned around, thinking that the situation was dealt with, a mistake. The man jumped on her and started choking her.

"Did you really think you are the first woman with such a strong will that I successfully conquered? Oh no, I had many like you, but most of them turned meek and obedient when I did this to them, at the end they all the same. So, what is your answer now, I am interested to hear your response."

Fumio considered using her quirk, but she wasn't a weak-willed person that needed to rely on that in situation like these. The man thought that she still attempted to endure, so he chose to choke harder, not noticing the increasing pressure on his two arms...

...he thought that he was in the dominant role, until his two forearms broke and he lost grip.

He wanted to scream, but Fumio just headbutted into his chin, flipping the positions over, before completely crushing his forearms, because she lost control of her strength.

"Fucking piece of shit thinks that he can do something like that to me, he better not think this is over, I am going to milk him out during the trial later. Be prepared to have your name and reputation crushed forever, you dog of a son."

She turned around to see a Rumi, in kicking position, ready to kick someone's head in. She had a fierce blush on her face.

"Is this the wrong time for me to say that I am kind of turned on?"

The answer from Fumio was just her falling into her chest, she herself blushing.

"Yes, it is. I might be strong willed, but all the adrenaline is still rushing through my body and I feel dizzy, besides I wanted to be saved like a damsel in distress, but you came too late."

Hearing this the both of them blushed even more fiercely.

"Dammit, how can my headstrong and badass fiancé be such a maiden at heart!"

"Fiancé?"

"I wanted to appear cool and call you that in the moment I saved you from the creep, but that fell down the toilet."

"Why not now?"

"I don't have rings."

"Well then kiss me, it would help me greatly in calming me down."

And so, the two adults shared a kiss in the garden tonight.
