Ch.36 School

'BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP' a loud sound rang I woke up to my alarm clock going off it was now 7:05AM I shut my alarm off and stretch, 'this is it I have to go.' I thought to myself.

I looked at the uniform that I had put out on my bed the night before and began to change into it. After I changed I headed to the bathroom to brush the knots out of my hair. Once I was done I looked in the mirror.

"You got this Myira!" I whispered to myself.

For some reason I began to feel nervous as I walked out of the bathroom I looked at the couch, Anyira was sleeping. I walked over and grabbed a peice of paper and a pen and wrote 'I will be back around 1:30 PM' on it and set it on the coffee table next the couch.

I then began toward the door I looked at it took a deep breath and opened it. Once I had closed the door I could feel the same panic I felt the first of kindergarten, but this feeling was accompanied by anxiety.

I began to walk to school taking deep breaths trying to calm myself. I happened to see the clock tower our of the corner of my eye 7:37 AM, anxiety began close in on me, I felt my feet become wobbly. I stopped at the nearest bench and sat down.

'Pull yourself together Myira! It will be alright!' told myself and took deep breaths in and out. I stood back up I felt slightly better. I began walking again, I kept my eyes down and tried not to look at anyone. I looked up when I reached the end of the sidewalk, 'the school is right there.' I thought to myself. I began with the small crowd of people across the street.

We parted ways now it was just me, the school and everyone around it. I seen many kids look at me frightened. I kept my head down and tried not to make eye contact with anyone. I noticed after a few kids past me they started running away from me.

I looked around once in a while to try and find the clock tower, once I finally found it the time was 7:56 AM, four minutes until they would let us into the building. I stood there for what felt like forever and then the annoying sound of the bell struck. I made sure that everyone got into the building before me to try to avoid as little conflict as possible.

As I walked into the building I could feel everyone staring at me. I tired to keep my head down but I couldn't resist the urge to look for Zack, once I seen him I felt more sure that everything would be alright.

I put my head back down and headed toward my locker, after I got it open and grabbed the stuff I needed, I heard a thud on a locker next to mine.

"Myira, everyone is staring at you." A voice said.
