chapter 31

The Ghost jumped out of hyperspace over a planet with other rebel fighters. Their mission was to collect data from an Imperial base on the planet and blow it up. The crew was in the cockpit as they flew into orbit. "So what exactly is this data that Mothma wants us to get from here?" Ash asked. "That is something I don't know. She never told me about it. But I'm sure it's important." Hera said. "Hasn't she left you out on a lot of information these last few missions." Kanan said. "I know it's odd but she's the boss and we have to do what she ask us." Hera said. "Well it's weird that she doesn't you know." lana  said. "And the fact that she's putting us on these dangerous missions." Zeb added. "I know don't worry I'll settle everything out when we are done here." Hera said. The Ghost landed in the outskirts beyond the base and they walked out. "Ok, the base is west from here." lana  said. "Alright let's go." Hera said.1

They ran a little ways until they came on it. They hid in a trench and did recon. "Only a few guards. And two sniper towers. Plus a fighter hanger." lana  said, looking through her scope. "Alright here's the plan: me, Zeb, Kanan and Chopper will go inside and hack the controls, while you and Ash set charges on the fighters." Hera said. "We're on it Hera. Come on Ash let's go." lana  said. Before they walked off Hera called their names. "Ash, lana . Be careful." She said, "Don't worry Hera we will." Ash said and they walked off.

Ash and lana  snuck to the side of the base wall. Ash cut a whole with his lightsaber and they crept inside the base. They saw where the fighters were and began planting the bombs. They split up and went in different directions. lana  was sneaking past patrols and putting bombs on each of the fighters. As she hid behind some crates two stormtroopers came behind her. "Hey, what do you think you're doing here?" One said. Before she could do anything, Ash came from behind and hit both troopers knocking them out. "I'm always gonna have to save you aren't I?" Ash asked, smirking. lana  took off her helmet and smirked at him back. "Only if I let you." She said before kissing him. "I love when we have time for ourselves." Ash said. "Now, now Mission first. There will be time for that later." lana  said. They continued to prime their bombs one by one.

After all the bombs were set, they sneaked up a sniper tower and took out the two guards up there. "Spector five to Spector two, bombs are set and ready waiting on your call." lana  said in her com. "Copy that Spector five. We managed to get past security here and Chopper is now hacking the terminal." Hera answered back. Suddenly the alarms went off in the base. "Guys what's happening?" Ash asked. "An alarm was triggered! Chopper hurry up and hack that terminal!" Hera said. "Guys, we're seeing a lot of troops entering the base." lana  said. "Can you hold them off until we can get down? Mothma already confirmed the air strike." Hera said. "We'll try." Ash said. They got out their blasters and started shooting at troops. Troopers one by one got shot down. More troopers came in and started shooting at them. "We can't stay up here!" lana  said. "You go down first I'll cover you!" Ash told her. lana  slid down the latter and Ash followed. They took cover behind some crates and continued to shoot down troopers. "Guys where are you?! We can't keep this up!" lana  said. "Almost done! Hang in there!" Hera said back. Ash and lana  continued to shoot down troopers. Then they noticed the rebel bombers coming. "No. It's too early!" Ash said. "Hera please! Get out of there! The bombers are coming in!" lana  shouted in her com. "Guys I'm sorry. We can't make it out." Hera said sadly. Before anyone could respond, the bombs hit the building and everything went dark.

Ash and lana  woke up on the ground with headaches. lana  got up and saw Ash still on the ground. "Ash you alright?" lana  asked concerned. "Yeah I am." He answered. lana  helped him up. They looked at where the building was and saw it was destroyed. They looked at each other fearing the worst and ran over to the destroyed building. They scrambled through the destroyed building in search of any bodies. Their search was over when Ash heard a gasp from lana . He ran over to her and saw what she was looking at. They saw their friends on the ground with burn marks on their bodies. They heard faint breathing from Hera and Kanan and they kneeled down to them. "We can still get you help. We can." lana  said as tears formed in her eyes. "No. It's too late for us. Listen to me, both of you. Live your best life and look out for each other." Hera struggled to say. "We will." Ash said, trying to hold back sobs. Kanan grabbed his lightsaber and gave it to Ash. "Use it the best way you can. I couldn't have wished for a better padawan." Kanan said with the last bit of his energy. "I couldn't have wished for better children. I love you both." Hera said then they both gave out their last breath and closed their eyes. lana  and Ash stood up both crying. lana  buried her face into Ash's chest and held onto his shirt while Ash hugged her back. Both had lost friends and family.

They carried their bodies back to the ship. They dug holes in the ground and put them in it. They stood at their graves in silence. "I never said it but I always thought of Kanan and Hera as my second parents. After I lost my parents, they were there for me and helped me overcome it. But now I don't know what to do with out them." Ash said as tears leaked from his face. lana  put a hand around his shoulder and rested her head on his arm crying. "Ever since I left Mandalore, I couldn't trust anybody. Then when I met them, they took me in, they comforted me at the darkest point in my life. I can never repay them for that." lana  said. "We'll miss you guys everyday." Ash said. They left the grave site, got on the Ghost and left the planet.

lana  piloted the Ghost in hyperspace and they were on their way back to the base. lana  heard banging in the back. She put the Ghost on autopilot and went to check it out. It was coming from Ash's cabin. She opened it and saw Ash destroying his helmets. He was banging one on the wall. "Ash. Ash! Stop please!" lana  shouted grabbing him from behind. Ash calmed down and fell to his knees crying. lana  comforted him, also crying. "Please. I don't like seeing you like this." She said. "I'm sorry. I don't know what to do anymore." Ash said in sobs. "Don't worry, I'm here for you. We'll get thru this." lana  said and they stayed like this for a while.

An hour later

The Ghost came out of hyperspace over Yavin 4. They landed the Ghost and they were met by Mon Mothma. "Where's the rest of the crew?" She asked. "The mission failed. They didn't make it because you called the air strike too early." lana  said in anger. "That is....unfortunate. But they should have gotten the data I wanted and got out." Mothma said. "How could you say that?! They gave their lives for this Rebellion and you brush them on just like that!" Ash said. "Well they didn't complete their mission so we move on from it." Mothma said. Ash got really angry and ignited his lightsaber. "You wouldn't dare attack me." Mothma said and rebel soldiers pointed their guns at them. Ash was about to walk forward but lana  stopped him. "Ash don't. We're leaving." lana  said and they walked back onto the Ghost. "Let them leave. We don't need them. They are expendable just like the rest of their crew." Mothma said. Ash wanted to turn around but lana  grabbed his hand and they walked to the cockpit.

lana  flew the Ghost off of the planet and into hyperspace. "I can't believe her. One day she'll pay." Ash said. "Yes, one day. But for now we find somewhere to go." lana  said. "So where to?" Ash asked. "How about we go to my parents? They'll let us stay with them." lana  suggested. "You think they'll welcome me?" Ash asked. "I know they will, once we tell them about us. And if not, I'll go anywhere with you." lana  said. Ash slightly smiled at her and kissed her cheek.

The Ghost came out of hyperspace over Krownest. They landed the ship down near the building and stepped out. They were met by lana 's mother Ursa, lana 's father Amari and her brother Tristan. lana  explained why they are here and Ursa hugged lana  comforting her. "I'm sorry for your lost lana  and you two Bridger." Ursa said. "Thank you mother." lana  said. "So why have you two come here?" Amari asked. "We were wondering if we could stay here for a while." lana  answered. "Can they mother?" Tristan asked. "Of course but they will have to get married, start their own clan and find a different planet to live on." Ursa answered. "I'm ok with it. What about you lana ?" Ash asked. lana  kissed him on the lips. "Does that answer your question?" She said, "Yes it does." Ash said and kissed her again. "Ha! I knew it!" Tristan said, earning a glare from both of them.

An hour later

"And I pronounce you, husband and wife." Amari said. Ash and lana  grabbed each other's hands and kissed. The crowd erupted into cheers. "Now all you need is a clan name." Ursa said. "We already got one." lana  said. "What's it called?" Tristan asked.

Ash and lana  said together "Clan Bridger."

5 years later

In a space sector, a large imperial ship was going on its route guarded by three light cruisers. "How long until we reach our destination?" The imperial officer asked. "5 more hours to go and we're still on schedule sir." The pilot said. "Good. Maintain current course." The officer ordered. "Sir we got unknown ships coming out of hyperspace and saw 10 ships in their path. "Those are Mandalorian spaceships. What in blazes are they doing out here? Com their ships." The officer said. "Yes sir." The pilot sends out a com relay. "Mandalorian starships, you are in a restricted area. Turn around or there will be consequences." The officer warned. "Sorry, but we're not leaving until we get what we came for." Someone answered. "Who is this?" The officer asked. "None of your concern at the time." He answered.

The Mandalorian fighters started firing on the light cruisers. Tie fighters launched and attacked. The Mandalorian fighters shot rockets at the light cruisers knocking them down. Two of the Mandalorian ships docked with the supply ship. Stormtroopers stood at the airlock waiting for anyone to come in. Then the stormtroopers saw two lightsabers stab both sides of the door and cut it open.

Then Mandalorians in orange armour entered. "No survivors." The leader said. The other Mandalorians started firing at the troopers. Some troopers were running back and some stayed to fight but got shot down. As stormtroopers ran they got shot down, some tried to surrender but the Mandalorians continued to shoot them down. The leader ordered some others to go check the supplies and kill any remaining imperial troops on the ship.

He along with some others made their way to the bridge. They killed the pilots and the officers and left the imperial leader for last. "You are making a huge mistake mandos. Once the Empire finds out about this, your home world will suffer." The officer said. "Shut up." The leader said, kicking him to the ground. He pulled a blaster at the officer. "No please. What do you want?" The officer asked. "I want a list of imperial shipments. Give them to me and I might let you live." The leader said. The officer nodded and downloaded a data pad of shipments. "There. That's all of them." He said. "Thank you." The leader said and shot the officer in the chest.

A female Mandalorian entered the bridge. "Ash I have Intel on the supplies." She said. "Good Emily. What's the cargo?" Ash asked. "It's a big one, we got food, weapons, military tech, and more on board." Emily said. "That's a big steal. Have the other imperial ships been destroyed?" Ash said. "Yes. We are awaiting your orders." Emily said. "Alright have everyone ready to leave. Once we get back home we'll strip this ship of all its supplies." Ash ordered. "You got it boss." Emily said and commed the other fighters to prepare to make the jump. "Everyone's ready." Emily said. "Alright. Lets go home." Ash said and all ships jumped into hyperspace space

Ash and his Mandalorians stole the supply ship and took it to their home planet. On the way home, Ash was going over the data list of Imperial supply convoys going in and out of the Mandalore system. "Wha'cha looking at Ash?" Emily asked coming next to him. "A list of supply convoys. This will be a good source to use when we do missions." Ash answered. "Cool. Is there any you want me to do when we get back?" Emily asked. "Just to make sure all the supplies on this ship is unloaded and anything we can use to upgrade our ships. After that, it's just gonna be a slow rest of the day." Ash explained. "You got it." Emily said. "Sir we're coming out of hyperspace." The pilot said. "Good tell the soldiers to prepare for our arrival." Ash ordered. The ship came out of hyperspace over the planet Conordia. "Home sweet home as always." Emily stated. "Yeah, come on lets head down." Ash said and they walked out of the bridge.

The supply ship and other Mandalorian ships landed at the base. A female Mandalorian walked towards the ship accompanied by ten other Mandalorians. The ramp lowered and Ash, Emily along with other Mandalorians walked down the ramp. The female Mandalorian took off her helmet and smiled. Ash took off his helmet as well. "Hey lana ." He said walking up to her. "Hey Ash. Good to see you make it back ok." lana  said and kissed him. "The mission was a success. We got loads of supplies on this ship." Ash told her. "Can't wait to see what we got." lana  said. "Emily have the soldiers unload the ship." Ash ordered. "Got it. You heard him, lets go." Emily and the soldiers followed her on the ship.

"How have things been here?" Ash asked. "Slow. A little too slow. It's quite boring without you." lana  said. "Oh so that's the reason why you love having me around." Ash said jokingly. "No there's more." lana  stated. "Like what?" Ash asked. "Well, I get to look at you, that's one thing." lana  said. "Oh this face can't compare to the beautiful face I'm staring at." Ash said and kissed her again. "Speaking of beautiful faces, where's the other face I love to see?" Ash asked.

Then a five year old girl sprinted towards Ash and hugged him. "Daddy you're back!" She said. "There's my little Lothcat! You missed me Harper and Sarah." Ash said, picking her up. "Uh-huh. Mommy and I missed you a lot!" Harper and Sarah said. Ash kissed her forehead. "Well I'm back now. I couldn't stay away for too long." He said. Emily walked up next to Ash. "Hey Emily what is it?" lana  asked. "We found something you both should see. It's pretty interesting." Emily answered.

They followed Emily into the ship's cargo hold. They came across a huge crate. "Go on, open it." Emily said. The soldiers opened it and a beaming light came out of it. "The scanners were detecting a massive energy source in this one and we thought it would be best to tell you before opening it." Emily explained. lana  and Ash walked up to the crate and looked inside. "Daddy what is that?" Harper and Sarah asked. "That, Harper and Sarah is called a Kyber Crystal." Ash answered. "What does it do?" Harper and Sarah asked. "It's energy source that can power anything. It's what powers my lightsabers." Ash explained. "Was there anything else that is good?" lana  asked. "A few weapons, food, explosives and more stuff still being processed." Emily said. "Alright good work. Put the weapons and explosives in the armoury and the food in the mess hall." Ash ordered. "On it." Emily said. "I gotta take this data pad to the command centre real quick. I'll meet you in the throne room." Ash told lana . "Alright see you then." lana  said and kissed him.

Ash walked to the command centre with a data pad in hand. He walked inside and everyone put their fist on their chest and bowed their heads. "At ease. I'm here to drop off some intel." Ash said. "Intel about what sir?" A soldier asked. "It holds information about Imperial supply convoys moving in and out of the Mandalore system. I want all the data off this pad downloaded into our computers." Ash ordered. "Yes sir." The soldier said and took the data pad. "Thank you." Ash told him and walked out.

As Ash was about to enter the throne room he felt something throw the force and smirked. The opened the door and lana  was sitting in her throne chair smiling. "Hey lana  where's Harper and Sarah?" Ash asked, smirking. lana  gestured her head up behind him. Before Ash turned around, Harper and Sarah jumped on his shoulders and covered his eyes. "Oh no! Tiny hands, my one weakness! Who could do this to me!" Ash said, playing along. "It's me daddy! I got snuck up on you." Harper and Sarah said. "Yes you did. Now here's my counter attack!" Ash said. He used the force to lift her in the air. Harper and Sarah was smiling and laughing as she floated in the air. lana  smiled and chuckled at her two most important people in the galaxy to her. Ash lowered Harper and Sarah in his arms and walked towards his throne chair.

He sat down with Harper and Sarah in his lap. "Daddy are you going out tomorrow again?" Harper and Sarah asked. "Yes. Why?" Ash answered. "Can I come with you please? I wanna see you fight bad guys!" Harper and Sarah asked. "Sorry, but you're still too young to go." Ash said. Harper and Sarah looked down feeling sad. "Hey don't worry. When you're old enough you can go on any mission you want with me." Ash reassured her. Harper and Sarah smiled and hugged her father. "Thanks daddy." She said, She yawned and fell to sleep in Ash's arms. "Wow, she actually fell asleep this time." lana  said. "Really?" Ash asked. "Yeah, while you were go, she would barely want to sleep." lana  explained. "Yeah she's a tough one. I can already see the Mandalorian and Jedi in her." Ash said. "She is gonna be the best warrior we've ever trained." lana  added. "Of course she is. She's our daughter after all." Ash stated. lana  smiled and leaned over to kiss him.

"I love lana ."

"Love you more Ash."

The next day

Ash woke early in the morning while the sun was starting to rise. He looked to his side and saw lana  was still asleep. He kissed her on the cheek and got out of bed to put on his armour. He walked out of the room and headed to Harper and Sarah's room. He opened the door and saw her starting to wake up. "Hey Harper and Sarah. What are you doing up early?" He asked. "I wanted to see you before you left." Harper and Sarah answered. Ash walked over to her bed and sat down. "I'm not leaving until later on. I'm just going to do my morning patrol around the base." Ash told her. "Can I join you daddy? Please." Harper and Sarah asked. "Well since you're already up, I guess you can." Ash told her. "Yay!" She shouted and Ash chuckled. He picked her up and walked out the room.

Ash walked around with Harper and Sarah in her arms. As they walked around, people stopped what they were doing and saluted Ash. "Daddy, why do they do that?" Harper and Sarah asked. "Because I'm their leader. Me and your mom are in charge of everyone and everything here. And one day so will you." Ash answered. "Really. I can't wait! I'm gonna be just like you daddy." Harper and Sarah said. "Who knows, you're probably gonna be better." Ash told her.

While walking they met Emily on the way. "Hello Harper and Sarah. How are you doing?" She asked while giving her a high five. "I'm doing good. Daddy was telling me about being a leader." Harper and Sarah said. "Well I can't wait for that to happen. By the way, Ash, I wanted to show you what we did with the Kyber Crystal." Emily told him. "Alright, lead the way." He said.

They walked in the reactor room of the base. "We decided to use some of the energy to power the base and use the rest to power the all the ships power cells." Emily explained. "Good work, Emily." Ash asked. "Thanks. One more thing, Alex returned from his recon mission and is in the training room." Emily told him. "Alright let's go see him." Ash said.

Ash, Harper and Sarah and Emily entered the training room. They saw Alex and some Mandalorian rookies doing target practice. "Remember to keep a tight grip on the blaster! Breath, aim then fire!" Alex said. "Sounds like you have your hands full here." Ash said. Alex turned around. "Hey boss. Just giving the shinnies some advice." Alex stated. "Well that's good." Ash said. "Agh! I keep missing!" A rookie said. "Don't worry you'll get the hang of it." Alex told him. "Not likely. This whole thing is full of bantha-``''Hey! Watch what you say kid." Ash warned. The rookie saw Ash with Harper and Sarah in his arms and bowed his head. "Apologises sir. I didn't know you were here." He said. "One of Ash's most important rules is never swear in front of his daughter." Alex said to him. "Here let me show you how it's done." Ash said. He put Harper and Sarah down and grabbed his blaster. He walked forward and started to shoot down all targets. After he was done the rookies all clapped their hands. "Wow, who taught you how to shoot?" A rookie asked.

"I did." A voice said. They turned around and saw lana  walking to them. "Mommy!" Harper and Sarah said and hugged her. "Hello my little starbird. I see you've been hanging out with your father." lana  said. "Yes! I'm having fun." Harper and Sarah said. lana  picked her up and walked over to kiss Ash. "Hope you don't mind I didn't wake you." Ash said. "No, it's fine. What are you doing today?" lana  asked. "Yeah I'm taking Emily, Alex and some others on a mission for today. I'll probably be back later on." Ash said. "Cool. When do we leave?" Emily asked. "We leave in a few. So get the men ready." Ash ordered. "You're the boss. C'mon Alex lets go." Emily said and they walked away.

Everyone was ready and waiting for Ash so they could leave. "Be careful out there." lana  said. "I will." He said. "I wish I can go with you daddy." Harper and Sarah said sadly. Ash put a hand on her head. "Hey don't worry. One day me, you and your mom will go on a mission together. And you can see us kick butt." He reassured her. Harper and Sarah smiled and hugged Ash's hand to her face. Ash hugged her and kissed lana . "Bye daddy!" Harper and Sarah said. Ash waved bye and got on the ship. "Alright everyone lets head out." Ash said and the ships took off.

Mandalorian ships were in hyperspace on their way to take out another supply convoy. Ash was in a room meditating. He let his thoughts clear and he breathed softly. His meditation was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Enter." Ash said. The door opened and Emily stepped in. "Hey boss. Just wanted to let you know that we're getting ready to come out of hyperspace." Emily informed me. "Alright, thanks. I'll be out in a moment." Ash told her. She nodded and left. Ash stood up and used the force to put his lightsabers on his belt. He grabbed his blasters, put them in his holsters and walked out.

He walked into the cockpit and met with Emily and Alex. "Right on time boss. We're coming out of hyperspace." Alex informed. They exited from hyperspace and saw the supply convoy. It was an imperial cargo ship that was guarded by four light cruisers. "Looks like the Empire stepped up their defences." Ash said. "They ain't got nothing we can't handle boss." Emily said. "That's what I like to hear." Ash said. "Sir we got unknown ships coming out of hyperspace." A pilot said.

They saw five starships and a light cruiser coming out of hyperspace behind the convoy. "Who are they?" Alex asked. "Rebels." Ash growled. "What are they doing in the Mandalore sector?" Emily asked. "Don't know, but they are not getting that cargo." Ash said. "Sir. One of the rebel ships is trying to contact us." The pilot said. "Put it through." Ash ordered. The pilot pressed a button and the transmission. "Attention Mandalorians: you will stand down. This cargo is ours for the taken." A rebel said. "No. This is our sector. Stay out of our way or else." Ash warned. "All troops begin your attack." Ash ordered.

The Mandalorians started firing on the convoy. The light cruisers started firing back but the ships were too agile for them to hit. The starships dropped bombs on the cruisers knocking them out. The cargo ship was now defenceless. The rest of the Mandalorian ships flew towards the cargo ship. They docked and landed inside the hangar bay. They were met with a squad of stormtroopers. Ash was the first out of the ships and pushed them back with the force. The rest of the Mandalorians ran out and gathered around Ash and the stormtroopers. The stormtroopers put down their weapons. "Wait! We surrender." One said. The Mandalorians laughed. "We don't take prisoners." Ash said. Then all of them shot down the stormtroopers. "Good work everyone. Alex, take some men and search the ship for any survivors and end them. Emily, I want your help to do a listing of the supplies on this ship." Ash ordered. "Yes sir!" They both said and ran into different.

After a few minutes, they were all ready to gather the supply. Ash, Emily and Alex were walking around while the soldiers check the cargo. "So we found that this ship has mostly weapons on board and tech also shield generators military grade. Nothing out of the ordinary. I guess this was a military supply ship." Emily explained. "Alright this was another good steal for us. Lets wrap this up and head home." Ash said. Then a rebel troop transport landed inside the cargo ship. "Why are they still doing here?" Alex asked. "Don't know but they are about to leave." Ash said walking forward. "Hoho this is gonna be fun." Emily said and her, Alex and other Mandalorian soldiers followed not far behind him.

A rebel officer along with a few soldiers step out and walked towards Ash. "Mandalorian. I thought I told you to stand down." The officer said. "What makes you think we will take orders from you rebels. We were here first and we stole this cargo. So go back to wherever you came from. This is our territory." Ash said. "You Mandalorians are all the same. Undisciplined and stupid." The officer said. "You better watch what you say to our leader if you know what's good for you." Emily said stepping next to Ash. "Or what will you do? You all are nothing but brainless parasites." The officer told them. "Now stand aside." He warned and all the rebel soldiers aimed their blasters and in a instant so did Ash's soldiers. "I advise you do leave now, this is your first and last warning." Ash warned. "We are not leaving until we get what we came for." The officer said. "So be it." Ash said and his soldiers started firing. The rebels fired back but they weren't quick enough.

The rebel soldiers were killed and all that's left was the rebel officer. Ash shot him in the knee and he fell to one knee. Ash kneeled down and grabbed him by the jaw. "Look at me. I don't ask twice." He said and shot him in the head. The rebel pilots left and went into hyperspace. "That will show them." Emily stated. "Yeah. Come people lets head back." Ash ordered. They loaded the supplies on their ships and left.

As Ash and his group were in hyperspace, Ash had a worried look on his face. "Ash is everything okay?" Emily asked. "I don't know why but I feel worried. Like by attacking the rebels I started something I wasn't ready to start yet. Like I put my clan in danger for my personal reason." Ash told her. "What happened between you and the rebels? I remember you and lana  telling me you used to be with them until you left." Emily asked. "Five years ago, the woman in charge of the Rebellion sent me, lana  and our friends on a mission. When me and lana  were caught in a firefight outside the imperial base while our friends went inside. Then the woman called a rebel bombardment on the base. That bombardment killed our friends. She didn't even care that they were dead, just scratched them off as casualties of war." Ash explained clenching his fist. "I'm sorry to hear that." Emily said placing a hand on his shoulder. "It's fine. I just didn't want to bring my clan into a personal matter." Ash to her. "Ash we are your clan. You are the best leader we have. We are with you to the end no matter what." Emily said. Ash smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm glad to have such loyal soldiers in my clan." He said. "Sir we're coming out of hyperspace." The pilot said and the ships exited hyperspace over Concordia.

When the ships landed the soldiers began unloading all the supplies on the ships. lana  and Harper and Sarah walked out of the base to greet them. When Harper and Sarah saw Ash, she ran towards him and hugged his leg tight. "Hey there Harper and Sarah." Ash said hugging her back. "Daddy I'm glad you're back, I missed you." Harper and Sarah said. Ash chuckled and picked her up. "I missed you too." He said. lana  walked up to him and kissed him. "Everything went okay on the mission?" She asked. "Yeah but we ran into a small problem." Ash said. "What was it this time?" lana  asked. "The rebels were there as well." Ash told her. "What! Are you okay? Was anyone hurt?" lana  asked concerned grabbing Ash's arm. "Hey it's alright. We handled it like we always do. They tried to take the cargo from us but they met their demise." Ash reassured her. "That's a relief. What were they doing in Mandalorian territory?" lana  asked. "I don't know but we'll make sure they don't come back." Ash said. Then a soldier ran up to them both. "Excuse me sir! Sorry to bother you but we got an unknown transmission from someone who wishes to speak to you both." He said. "Come on if it is who I think it is, she just made a mistake." lana  said and they ran into the base followed by Emily and Alex.

Before they went to the command centre, Ash and lana  took Harper and Sarah to the throne room. "Harper and Sarah I want you to stay here until we get back ok." lana  said. "Okay mommy." Harper and Sarah said and Ash and lana  left.

They all got to the command centre. "Pull up the transmission." Ash ordered. A holo image of Mon Mothma appeared. "Ash and lana . Why am I not surprised." She said. "What do you want sleemo?" lana  said. "What I want is for you and your clan to stay out of our way. The Rebellion is coming to the Mandalore sector and we will use it as our own. So stand down." Mothma said. "You forgot, we don't take orders from you anymore. You better stay out of our territory or you will be in trouble." Ash warned. "You two are just like your friends. Nothing but scum in the world and nothing more." Mothma said. "You better watch what you say. This is are only warning: don't come back." lana  said. "You can't stop us from coming back. We will keep coming back and we will end you and your clan." Mothma told them. "Go ahead and try you're gonna need the entire Rebellion to end Mandalorians." Ash said and ended the transmission.

"I want to make sure everyone is ready for anything. Alex can you handle that?" lana  asked. "You can count on me." Alex said. "Um boss." Emily called. "What's wrong?" Ash asked. Emily pointed behind them. Once they turned around they saw Harper and Sarah standing in the doorway with a worried look. Ash and lana  immediately went over and kneeled down to her. "Sweetie what's wrong?" lana  asked. "Is that mean lady going to take you away from me. I don't want to lose you." Harper and Sarah said with tears running down her face. Ash and lana  hugged their daughter tight. "You will never lose us Harper and Sarah I promise. We'll always be together." Ash told her. Harper and Sarah wiped away tears and smiled at them. "We love you Harper and Sarah." lana  said. "I love you guys too."

It was night time around the base. The moon was bright and the sky was filled with stars. Harper and Sarah had fallen asleep in Ash's arms. He decided to take her to bed. He opened the door to her room and placed her on the bed. He tucked her in and kissed her forehead. "Good night my little Lothcat." He whispered and left the room.

Ash found lana  on the balcony staring at the sky. He came behind lana  and wrapped his arms around her waist. lana  grabbed one of his hands and kissed it. "What are you doing out here by yourself?" Ash asked leaning his head on the back of lana 's neck. "Just thinking." She simply answered. "About the rebels?" Ash asked. "A little bit. To think that we used to work for someone like that." lana  stated. "Yeah, but that's why we left. She thinks she can tell us what we can and cannot do, she's in for a rude awakening if she crosses us again." Ash said. "Yeah. You doing another mission tomorrow?" lana  asked. "Yeah. Me, Emily, Alex and some others are gonna raid a small imperial base. We'll leave tomorrow at noon." Ash told her. "I'm coming with you." lana  said. "You sure? It could be dangerous." Ash asked. "Danger? Please, I laugh in the face of danger." lana  said. "Hehe. Alright then. You you're cute when you sound tough." Ash said with a smirk. "You're cute when you caring." lana  smirked back. Ash gently started kissing lana 's neck which made her giggle and she rubbed her fingers through his hair. "Come on. Lets finish this in bed." lana  said playfully, grabbing his hand and taking him into their room.

The next day

It was almost time for them to leave. Emily and Alex were making sure everyone was ready to go and their ships were fueled and ready. Ash and lana  were walking with Harper and Sarah to the ships. "Emily is everyone ready?" Ash asked. "Yeah boss, just waiting on you two." Emily said. " Alright good we'll be in a sec." lana  said. Emily nodded and walked to the ship. lana  kneeled down to Harper and Sarah. "Sweetie be a good girl while we're gone okay." She said. "Okay mommy." Harper and Sarah said. "Good girl. We'll be back soon." lana  told her. She gave Harper and Sarah a kiss on the head. "What if that mean lady attacks you?" Harper and Sarah asked. "If she does, we'll be ready. Don't worry Harper and Sarah, you know nothing can hurt us." Ash said. Harper and Sarah smiled and hugged him. Ash and lana  walked onto the ship. "Bye mommy! Bye daddy!" Harper and Sarah shouted. Ash and lana  waved bye and the ramp to the ship closed and they took off.

3 hours later

The Mandalorian ships exited hyperspace over a planet. "Is this the place Alex?" Ash asked. "Yes. This place has all kinds of military equipment inside." Alex answered. "Alright what's the plan?" lana  asked. Ash pulled up a holo image of the base. "Alright here's the plan: they have outer forces outside the base. The soldiers will engage the troops outside while we go inside and take out the rest of their forces and take the cargo for ourselves." Ash explained. "I like that plan." lana  said. "Yeah lets do it." Emily said. "All pilots begin your descent." Ash ordered in his com.

The pilots flew the ships down to the planet. Once they were in range of the base, the soldiers jumped out of the ships and started to attack the outer defences. "Alright take us as close as you can." lana  said to the pilots. The ramp of the ships opened. "I'm gonna top you this time." Alex told Emily. "That's what you said last time." Emily stated. "Alright you two focus. There will be time to settle scores later." Ash said. "Sir you all are clear to jump." The pilot said. "Alright everyone let's move!" Ash shouted and they all jumped out.

They used their jetpacks to slow down their descent onto the base. Once on top, Ash used his lightsabers to cut a hole in the roof. Once the hole was cut threw Emily peaked her head in. "I spot 10 of them inside." She said. "Alright drop smoke bombs in." lana  ordered. They got out their smoke bombs and dropped them in. The room filled with smoke and they jumped inside. They started blasting all the stormtroopers inside. "Clear." Alex said. "Alright lets move." Ash said. They ran out of the room and down the hallways.

They ran into a squad of stormtroopers and took cover behind a wall. They fired on them and the troopers fired back. "We don't have time for this. We need to end them." lana  said. "I got this." Alex said. He jumped out of cover and threw a bomb at the troopers stunning them for the moment. He then ran forward and kicked the first one in the head and shot the second one in the chest. The third one tried to punch him but Alex grabbed hid arm and pulled him in front of him as shots hit the trooper. He threw the body at them and continued to shoot down the rest.

"All clear." He said after he was done. "Alright lets split. Alex go for the supply room and take out any guards their." Ash ordered. "On it boss." Alex said and ran off. "Emily go for the reactor room and plant bombs there." "Got it, I'm already on it." Emily said and also ran off. "lana  you're with me. We are heading for the command center." Ash told her. "Alright lets go." lana  said and they ran down the hall.

They ran down the halls blasting stormtroopers along the way. Once they got the the command center the door was locked. Ash used his lightsabers to cut a hole in the door. Once the door was opened they blasted the troopers inside. "Clear. Lets download their intel." lana  said. They hacked the terminals and got out two chips. "Emily, Alex, how are things at your ends?" lana  asked in her com. "Guards in the supply room are taken out." Alex informed. "And bombs are set in the reactor room." Emily added. "Alright good work. Meet us at the vehicle hanger bay." Ash ordered. "Yes sir!" They both said. Ash and lana  ran out of the control room.

After awhile, Ash and lana  made it to the vehicle hanger bay. "Alex, Emily where are you two?" Ash asked in his com. "Almost there." Alex said. "Me too." Emily added. A squad of troopers entered the hanger bay. Ash and lana  took cover and started firing on them. Seconds later Alex showed up and used the rocket launcher on his jetpack and took out the remaining troopers. "Right on time Alex." Ash said. "As always. Now we're just waiting on Emily." Alex stated.

Then as another squad of stormtroopers entered the hanger bay, Emily showed up behind the squad. She got out a knife stabbed the first one in the back. She then grabbed her blaster and shot down the second one. She front flip in front of the next one and stabbed the trooper in the visor and shot the other one in front. As the rest of the troopers started to surround her, lasers shot out of Emily's gauntlets and she spun around making the lasers hit every stormtrooper around her. Once she was done she walked over to the others. Alex had his helmet off and mouth opened in shock. "Relax Alex, you'll top her next time." Ash told him. "No he won't." Emily stated walking past Alex as he let out a groan in defeat.

After the battle was over, the ships landed and they all started to load the supplies on the ship. "Alright that's all the supplies. Lets wrap this up and go home." Ash ordered. "You heard the boss everyone, lets get ready to blow this joint!" Emily shouted. "Look sir!" A soldier shouted pointing at the sky. Everyone looked up and saw rebel ships. Then a rebel contacted them. "Mandalorians, you are all ordered to hand over the supplies you all have. Answer now or suffer the consequences." He said. "Emily, Alex. Go give them our answer." lana  ordered. Emily, Alex and a few other soldiers flew in the sky with their jetpacks towards the rebel starships.

The rebels started firing on them but they dodged all their shots. Emily fired a cable at the one of the fighters and reeled herself in. Once she was on the fighter, she put a bomb on the engine and jumped off letting it explode. Alex and the others fired rockets at the other fighters and some got it. Then Emily latched onto another one. She opened the cockpit and threw a bomb inside. She jumped off and the fighter exploded. The rebels broke off their attack and left the system.

Emily, Alex and the soldiers flew back down to the others. "What, they did learn from the last encounter." Emily said. "They're rebels they never learn. Lets get back home." Ash said. After they packed up the last of the supplies they took off from the base. "Emily care to do the honors?" lana  asked. "It would be my pleasure." Emily answered and pressed a button on her wrist. The entire base exploded. "You still got the touch." lana  said. "It's in my blood." Emily stated pounding her fist on her chest. "But you are always better when it comes to explosives." She added. "Okay everyone lets go." Ash ordered and the ships took off into hyperspace.

After the long travel, the ships exited hyperspace over Concordia. They landed and began to unload the cargo. Harper and Sarah ran out of the base towards her parents. She hugged Ash's leg. "Mommy! Daddy! You're back!" She said. Ash bushed her hair with her hand while lana  kneeled down and hugged her. "Did you guys beat up bad guys?" Harper and Sarah asked. "Yes we did sweetie. We always do." lana  told her. Ash picked her up and pressed his nose on hers. "Harper and Sarah I got a surprise for you." Ash said. "What is it?!" Harper and Sarah asked excited. "Close your eyes." He told her. Harper and Sarah closed her eyes. Ash pulled something out of a bag. "Now open them." Ash said. Harper and Sarah opened her eyes and saw a stormtrooper helmet in front of her. "Wow!" She shouted. She grabbed the helmet and put it on. "Agh! I'm a buckethead! I'm gonna get you all!" Harper and Sarah pretend which made Ash and lana  laugh. "Careful Ash. It's a stormtrooper. We don't wanna get beat up by her." lana  said playing along with the game. "Don't worry I know how to deal with her." Ash said. He picked Harper and Sarah up with the force and had her upside down. Harper and Sarah was laughing and spinning in the air. lana  took off the helmet and gave Harper and Sarah a raspberry on the cheek which made Harper and Sarah giggle. lana  grabbed Harper and Sarah in her arms and picked up the helmet. "Can we paint this later on mommy?" Harper and Sarah asked. "Of course we can. I love painting with you." lana  told her.

Then a soldier ran up to them. "Sorry to disturb you, but there is another transmission from the Rebellion." He said. "Great now what." lana  said. "Daddy?" Harper and Sarah asked concerned. "It's okay Harper and Sarah. We'll be alright. lana  take her to her room, I'll meet you in the command center." Ash said. "Alright." lana  said and the walked to their locations.

After lana  put Harper and Sarah in her room, her and Ash walked into the command center. "Put the transmission through." Ash ordered. Then Mothma appeared as a holo image. "I thought I made myself clear when I said not to get in our way." She said. "And we told you we don't take orders from you. We told you to stay out of our territory and look how many of your rebels paid the price." lana  said. "Well,I warned you." Mothma simply said. Then a terminal started to beep. "Sir! We are detecting several ships coming out of hyperspace!" A soldier said. They pulled up a holo image of the ships. Three rebel cruisers and twenty starfighters. "Mothma, if you think that's enough to stop us, then let us give you a quick dose of reality." Ash said and ended the transmission. "Emily, Alex. Prepare all fighters. We got incoming." Ash ordered in his com. "Yes sir!" They both said. "Set the base on alert and engage our defenses." lana  ordered. "Yes ma'am!" Soldiers shouted and they got to work.

Ash and lana  ran out the base towards their starfighters. "Everyone ready to go?" Ash asked. "Yeah boss. We're ready on our end." Emily answered. "Alright. All wings prepare to engage!" Ash ordered and they lifted off.

They all flew out of the planet's orbit to meet the rebels. "Huh. They don't look so tough." Emily stated. "You're right about that. Stay in attack formation and follow my lead." Ash ordered. "We're right behind you boss." Alex said.

They proceed to attack the fighters before heading for the cruisers. They were able to out maneuver a lot of the rebel fighters and destroy ten of them. They flew back around for another attack run run on the last bit of fighters.

"Emily, you're with me. Lets destroy one of those cruisers." Ash ordered. "I'm on your tail." Emily said. They flew towards one of the cruisers. They fired EMPs to knock out the shields and then dropped bombs right on top of it and the cruiser blew up. "Alright good work." Ash said. They rejoined lana  and Alex in taken out the fighters. After destroying most of the rebel forces, the rebels that was left retreated in defeat.

"Alright! That will show them!" Emily shouted in the com. "Good work everybody. Now lets head back." Ash said and they all headed back to the base.

They landed ships on the planet. They were met by a crowd with applause by the other Mandalorians of Clan Bridger. "Great job today! All of you! The Rebellion has made a big mistake challenging us! We'll make plans to retaliate against them soon! For now everyone be ready!" Ash said. "Yes sir!!!" They all yelled and went back to work. "Emily, Alex. Tomorrow we go over a plan to strike back against the rebels. It's one thing to attack us on a mission. But our home is another story." Ash ordered. "You got it boss. Is there anything else for the rest of the day?" Emily asked. "No. We had a good fight today. Get some rest you two." Ash said. Emily nodded and walked off with Alex. "So what now?" Ash asked lana . "Well we got a special mission." lana  told him.  Ash thought for a moment and remember. "Yeah lets go, before she gets impatient." Ash said and they walked into the base.

They walked down the hall towards their room and took off their armor plates. Once they took the armor plates, they went to Harper and Sarah's room. They opened the door and saw her levitating her new helmet with the force. "She has gotten strong with the force." Ash told lana . "Well she's just like you Ash." lana  stated. When Harper and Sarah noticed them in the doorway, she got up and hugged them both. "Mommy! Daddy! Are you okay?" She asked. "Yes we are. You know we are always gonna survive anything." lana  told her. "So are you ready to get to work?" Ash asked. "Yeah!"

Ash and lana  was helping Harper and Sarah paint her helmet. They had spray paint and paint brushes. They were sitting on her bed. Harper and Sarah wanted to use blue and orange. lana  helped her paint and Ash held the helmet steady for her. Harper and Sarah was having fun with her parents. She mostly had one parent to have fun with because the other was on a mission. But today was great for her, she was having a great time with both her parents.

Harper and Sarah looked up at her farther and her mother and got an idea. She dipped her hands in some orange paint and smeared it on Ash's face. Ash had a surprised look on his face while lana  was laughing at him. "What are you laughing at mommy?" Harper and Sarah asked while she dipped her hands in blue paint and smeared it on lana 's face. "Okay lil missy, you asked for it!" lana  shouted and she put a paint brush in the orange and rubbed it on her face. Ash rubbed a blue paint brush on her cheek.

They all were having a paint fight and getting messy. They were laughing and playing like crazy. They were using all the paint in the cans and the buckets. After they used most of the paint they looked at each others faces. They were covered with paint. They laughed at each others messy state. "Well I guess we should clean up." lana  said. "Yeah come on Harper and Sarah." Ash said and picked her up.

After they had a good cleaning, it was night time. They were in Harper and Sarah's room. "Alright Harper and Sarah. It's time to sleep." Ash said. "But daddy *yawns* I'm not tired." Harper and Sarah said rubbing her eyes. "Come on sweetie. It's time for bed." lana  told her. Harper and Sarah laid down in bed and Ash tucked her in the covers. They were about to leave but Harper and Sarah stopped them. "Can you stay with me please?" She asked with eyes neither of them couldn't resist. "Alright. We will." Ash said. They both laid down on each side of Harper and Sarah in bed. Harper and Sarah hugged Ash's arm and closed her eyes. "Night Harper and Sarah." Ash said. "Night daddy." Harper and Sarah said and fell asleep. "She's cute when she sleeps." lana  stated. "Yeah she is." Ash added and kissed lana . "Night." "Goodnight." They said and fell asleep.

The next morning Ash woke up still in Harper and Sarah's bed. He looked to his left and saw Harper and Sarah still cuddled up on his arm and lana  had an arm around Harper and Sarah still sound asleep. Ash gently stroked lana 's cheek waking her up. "*yawns* is it time?" lana  asked. "Yeah come on we gotta go." Ash whispered. lana  got out of bed and stretched. Ash was trying to get up without waking Harper and Sarah. Harper and Sarah let out a soft groan as she slowly woke up. "Daddy where are you going?" Harper and Sarah asked. "Mommy and I have to meet Emily and Alex in the command room." Ash told her. "Can I *yawns* come with you?" Harper and Sarah asked trying to stay awake. "You're still too sleepy. Go ahead back to sleep. We'll be back later on today." Ash said. "Okay." Harper and Sarah said going back to sleep. "Okay lets go get ready." lana  said and they both walked out of the room.

After they got their armor and equipment on, they entered the command room and saw already there. "Attention!" Emily shouted and everyone stood up and saluted Ash and lana . "At ease everyone." lana  said and everyone went back to work. "So boss how are we gonna fire back at the rebels?" Emily asked. Ash walked up to the holo table and pulled up a planet. "Since we've been in the rebellion, we know most of their hideouts." Ash stated. "This one is called Havoc Outpost. Me and Ash's been there before many times. This outpost holds rebel base locations throughout the know reaches of the galaxy. This will be our first target." lana  explained. "Why not just attack their main base on Yavin 4? We know that's where Mothma and mostly the whole rebellion is." Alex asked. "I thought about it and no. We wanna make sure they can't go and hide somewhere to retaliate against us. If we wanna hurt them, we gotta do it slowly." Ash explained. "I think it's a good plan, doing this will cripple those rebels hard." Emily said. "So it's official. lana  I need you to stay here. If the rebels do a counter attack while we're both gone, this base is gonna need a leader with them." Ash said. "Alright, I doubt they will counter attack, but okay." lana  told him. "Okay them. Emily, Alex, get the men ready. We leave at 0900 ASAP." Ash ordered. "Yes sir." They said and left.

Everyone was outside the base readying the fighters for departure. "Okay, I set the coordinates for the outpost And I gave Emily the encryption key so you can hack the all the data that outpost has. And I made sure you all have enough explosives to blow it sky high." lana  said. "Okay good. Listen, I know you wanted to come and everything and I'm always the one leaving while you stay here..." Ash said. "It's fine Ash. You're right, they need at least one of us here to run things if the rebels come back. It'll be fine." lana  told him. Ash smiled and kissed her. He walked onto the ship. "Love you!" Ash said to her. "Love you more!" lana  said back. The ships took off and left the planet. "All ships are ready to go boss." Emily said. "Alright, enter hyperspace." Ash ordered and they all jumped into hyperspace.

All ships were in hyperspace heading for the Havoc Outpost. It was gonna take 5 hours to get there so some were sleeping or going over their weapons. Ash was in his room meditating when he heard a knock at the door. "Come in." The door opened and Emily was at the door. "Hey Emily what's wrong?" Ash asked. "Uh.....I...I don't it's pretty stupid to ask. I mean you're my boss and stuff." Emily stuttered looking away and down. Ash got up from the floor, went to go sit down on the bed and gestured her to sit next to him. Emily nodded and sat down. "Hey. I'm more than just your boss. I'm a friend. You can talk to me." Ash said placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Do...Do you think Alex likes me?" Emily asked. Ash's eyes widened not expecting that question. "What makes you think he likes you?" Ash asked. "It's just, he always wants to do stuff with me. We have fun together always and we're always so competitive with each other." Emily explained. "I know how you feel." Ash said. "You do?" Emily asked raising an eyebrow. "Mm. To be honest, I was trying to imprest lana  when I first met her." Ash explained and Emily laughed a little. "Oh haha. Anyway, we were always competitive with each other too, wanting to do stuff with each other and we always have fun too. The day we admitted our feelings for each other was the best day." Ash told her. "Wow. You never told me that before." Emily said.

"So, do you like Alex?" Ash asked. Emily's face turned red. "I...uh.....no- I mean- maybe- I mean..." Emily stuttered. Ash gave out a small laugh. "It's not funny! I'm confused about all this." Emily said. "That's how I acted when lana  asked me if I liked her." Ash stated. "Well maybe I like him." Emily said. "lana  told me that when I asked her." Ash stated. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Take my advice. Just go for it. Me and lana  went for it after awhile and look where we are now. If you like him just tell him." Ash told her. "What if I'm wrong and I ruin our friendship with each other?" Emily asked. "If he doesn't then that's on him. You are one of the best Mandalorians in our clan and if he doesn't see that then he doesn't know what he's missing." Ash said. Emily smiled at him. "Thanks Ash, after the mission I'm gonna go for it." She said. Emily then hugged him and he hugged back. They broke the hug. "It feels good to talk about it with you." Emily said. "I'm always here if you wanna talk whenever you want to." Ash told her. Then their coms beeped. "Sir we are almost about to come out of hyperspace." The pilot said. "Ready Emily?" Ash asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." Emily told her and they left the room.
