You've Come This Far
There isn't really a right time to die
But in your sleep at a ripe old age
There is no need to fear death
Death comes to all, any race or creed
We need to live each day to the fullest
Pursuing our dreams with our families
Without family we wouldn't exist
Without each other, life's not a cinch
Without a lover there'd be no kissed
What would life be like without this joy?
A dark wasteland full of void
We need to take action
In a good orderly fashion
To gain inspiring needed traction
Do not let your life slip away
Day in and day out in the grey
Light the flame within your heart
Do your part so life won't smart
I can't guarantee you that you won't feel down
But if you endure you'll receive your crown
Christ is sitting upon His throne
Preparing a mansion to call your own
Lift up your head and wipe your tears
You've fought this long for so many years
I can promise you one thing that you are loved
You're never alone just pick up the phone
The phone of prayer will be your guide
During the day or the middle of the night
An angel will come to help you in this fight
Angels come in many shapes and sizes
And rises to keep you safe
To help you enter the white pearly gates.
