Noah nodded his head, believing her excuse, and they both got ready.

While they dressed up, he looked back at her and teased her.

"Your services last night…. I enjoyed it.'

She had put on her tights and a rib-knit body con mini skirt, now she was in the middle of putting on her blouse. She opened her mouth and closed it, but she couldn't find a retort to his words.

When she finished buttoning the blouse he said, "When are you free to stop by again?"

After getting Bryan's call, she wasn't in the mood to humor anyone, but he was just trying to lift her mood. The purpose of his joke was obvious, but it touched her and so she played along.

Her lips twitched, and she took a deep breath before answering.

"My services aren't free."

"What's the fee?"

She turned around and smirked.

"10 grand….. per hour. Taxes included."

"Fair enough. Text me when you want to start."

She stayed quiet and opened the door because someone was knocking.

"Your order." As soon as she opened the door a worker handed her a bag with food and left as soon as he handed it to her.

'Okay…' The man looked like he was afraid to even look at the person he handed the food too, so he had just run off as soon as he did his job.

Adriana was about to turn around and hand it to Noah when she noticed a familiar figure exiting the elevator.

James….

With two bodyguards behind him and a black coat on his body, he looked like a cute baby boss.

Gosh, he's so cute

Unfortunately, that cuteness would not help him escape her scolding.

"What's wrong?"

She pushed Noah back and closed the door with a bang.

"Nothing, I should go now, I got the food."

He nodded and continued tying his tie.

"Is she really your sister?" He asked curiously.

"Hmmm, it's a long story but yeah it seems I was not an orphan, to begin with." She continued and laid her body on the door to wait, hooing James would be gone soon.

'This kid….'

"That's unexpected." He seemed to continue struggling with putting his tie on.

Out of habit, she placed the food down and quickly put it on for him. She then ruffled his hair into a proper style that would suit him, and she turned around.

"Wait."

"After last night…. will it be like the previous days again? It seems the more we talk about the past the further we push each other away…."

"Then maybe we should just not talk about."

"Do you prefer this instead of explaining things to me?"

"Let's not ruin it. Right now we aren't in grand terms, but at least we can talk like this…. so let's not ruin it." She pursed her lips and picked up the food again.

"If you say so."

"You forgot that…" He pointed towards her bathrobe and the other accessories that went into the outfit. Once again she put the food down and continued dressing up.

After putting on her earrings and running her fingers through her hair until it was no longer tangled (since she had no brush) she picked the food again.

Noah who was checking her out smirked. "You look hot."

Adriana halted her steps and placed her palm on her heart. 'Let's calm down over here.'

"Wow, it feels good to say it." He continued.

She turned around and lifted his chin with her finger. After looking up and down, she shrugged. "You don't look bad yourself."

"You don't have to say it twice, love. I know I look sexy... well, I'm your type."

"The arrogance is overflowing."

"It's your fault for boosting my ego so much."

She rolled her eyes and turned around to leave.

"Hey, we're not done. I'll be waiting for you in my office later."

"Ahem* You are too much. I'm leaving."

Noah grinned, watching her leave, and he looked down at his little brother with a sigh.

"Not mine... not my problem." She winked and closed the door.

He shook his head at that. She was really just going to leave him like that, wasn't she?

He wanted to undress to take a cold shower, but she had made his tie so he didn't want to ruin that and decided he would endure it.

When she left, he looked at the email he received.

Yes, he would not stop investigating the past.

He had given up before because he thought she was dead. The news had made him loose his senses and it devastated him.

But now, things were different. He would respect her wishes and not ask her to tell him. That did not mean he would not continue to investigate the weird occurrences happening around his life the moment she showed up again.

Since that day at the restaurant where Adriana met Kimberly, he knew there was something up. She might fool everyone else, but she could not win against him.

He opened the email and smirked. Some interesting things would go down soon.

"Adriana…" He whispered.

"You just can't fool me and you know it. Now, show me what you will do to distract me from your real purpose.."

Thankfully, he could tell that what happened yesterday was real, and it wasn't fake in her part. Although she was sincere towards him last night, that didn't mean there wasn't a purpose behind her sudden actions.

The woman was so determined to keep a distance from him only a few days ago. Whether the emotional situation led her to say what she said, or by the advantage it would give her, it didn't matter.

The only important thing right now was that he would find out everything. He had way too many suspicions to just let them be.

It hurt him, it really did. He was hapoy with this proccess but it still hurt how she doesn't trust him anymore.

After thinking about the current situation, he walked out of the room and headed downstairs. He had to wait for his driver to come pick him up, so he stayed in the hotel's lobby.

When he looked he wondered if he could meet Aria before he left. It would almost be the time she goes to her school.

He hadn't seen her in a while and he kinda missed her. It was a hard feeling to get used to, but he liked the kid. She was naughty, but she has a good heart, besides she's so familiar with the woman he married in the past.

Then he thought about the incident yesterday.

He didn't want to suspect too much, because he didn't want any misunderstanding between them. But the woman just loves keeping secrets to herself.

He had a hunch she had something to do with yesterday.

'I have too much on my mind right now.'

Adriana and her obsessiveness with secrets.
