AN: I know there have been a lot of songs that have been played here already. But it's because people are slowly and FINALLY noticing JayB's talent. So will still give the songs that are present here a listen. Enjoy!

"OH MY GOD! It's finally happening!" Dominic was really excited about it as he suddenly pulled me into a hug while jumping up and down from the excitement.
After getting my first mail from the show, we made our way to Yo Chul-hyung's barbecue restaurant as the rest of the groups congratulated me. The entire restaurant was closed for the day since we were going to have it all to ourselves. Aside from the other groups, the staff for Weekly Idol was here with us so there were really a lot of people inside the restaurant. The rest of our managers were inside a private room in the restaurant as they were setting up the cameras and equipment for our special anniversary VLIVE. While waiting, Dominic couldn't contain his excitement as he suddenly attacked me with a hug.
"Calm down! Will you? You're embarrassing me!" I said as I peeled him off of me.
Jeong Do chuckled as he sat Dominic down. "Oh lighten up, JayB-ya. The dude's excited for you."
"Right? Can't I just be a little too excited for you?" Dominic asked as he patted my back.
I rolled my eyes. "You're ALWAYS a little too excited for EVERYTHING."
Bumping and breaking noises suddenly filled the place up when Zee accidentally hit the table with his knee. He then snapped his head towards to Yo Chul-hyung while pointing at the broken pieces. "I'll pay for that…"
"Not if I kill you first." Yo Chul-hyung huffed.
Matt-hyung then raised his hand to get the restaurant staff's attention. "Excuse me? Can we have someone clean this up please?"
"That was a limited edition set. How are you going to pay for it?" Yo Chul-hyung glared at Zee.
Zee rolled his eyes. "Why are you using these kinds of plates at a time like this?"
Yo Chul-hyung massaged his temples as he sighed. "You idiot. It comes with the set when I bought the entire thing in a bundle."
"Then it wasn't really 'limited' now, was it?" Zee fought back.
Jeong Do went in between them as they were about to duke it out. "Guys, guys, guys. Chill. It's not like we're not used to it. Don't worry, Chul-hyung. He'll pay triple the price."
"I never said that I will pay for that much." Zee rebutted.
Zhang gripped Zee's shoulders to sit him down. "And now you will."
Jiwoo decided to change the topic. "Oh right. Where are the girls? Aren't they coming?"
I shook my head at Jiwoo. "Twice's comeback is in a few days. They're preparing hard for it."
"Yeah. Sana-ya and I barely had enough time for each other because of it." Jeong Do sighed.
Seiji-hyung then turned to Zee. "Where's Yuna-ya? Isn't she at least coming?"
"She's filming MIXNINE as we speak." Zee said as he handed his card to the waiter.
Matt-hyung then raised his eyebrow. "Then why is JayB-ya still here. Shouldn't he be at the set for MIXNINE?"
I smiled at them as I chuckled. "I'm still not needed 'til tonight so we can enjoy lunch peacefully."
"How about you Seiji-hyung? Aren't you going to finally introduce us to your girlfriend?" Zee teased.
Seiji-hyung rolled his eyes as he smiled at him. "Someday… but not today…"
Dominic gave him a nudge. "Eyy… Don't be like that. Come on. We're pretty much open to you about our relationships."
Seiji-hung sighed as he shook his head. "Hey I'm willing to tell you guys. In fact, I'm DYING to tell you. It's actually her choice to keep it a secret for now since she's going into an important show and it would really destroy her image if people found out."
"It's not a dating show, is it?" Jeong Do deduced.
Seiji-hyung just smiled. "I can neither confirm nor deny."
"There he goes again. Fine. Consider this a 'no questions asked' moment." Jiwoo said.
Seiji-hyung chuckled. "Fair enough."
"Are we going to ignore the fact that our leader is ALSO going into a dating show?" Zee teased.
Matt-hyung smiled wryly. "Can it still be considered a dating show when you're getting married?"
Yo Chul-hyung then scoffed. "Eyy… it's not a real marriage anyway. Plus, they have the option to date afterwards. It's really up to them."
Seiji-hyung then turned to me. "How do you feel right now JayB-ya?"
"Nervous." I told them almost as if it was a whisper.
Jeong Do chuckled at my reaction. "It's normal. I've been into a dating show before and it's really pretty normal. Depends on how the show does it. Since you're the first that's been revealed, then you're going to go look for your wife when the mission card arrives."
"I know. Which makes it more nerve-wracking." I admitted with a sigh.
Dominic patted my back. "Don't worry about it, you know? Just wing it when the time comes. We're just happy that you're giving this a shot."
Zhang rolled his eyes. "It's about time too. I'm dying to know who the girl is."
"Same here, hyung." Zee said.
Dominic chuckled as he placed a hand on my shoulder. "We're all excited to meet our sister-in-law."
"Anyway, let's go entertain our guests. We're talking with each other too much." I stood up from my seat as I instructed them.
After holding some random conversations with the other groups, our managers finally called us since our room was ready for our LIVE. We excused ourselves from the guests and soon begun or anniversary VLIVE.
_________
"Wow… you're trending on Twitter again, hyung." Zee said as he scrolled through his laptop.
It was the day after our anniversary and we were now in our dance studio. We've been practicing since 7AM in the morning and it's now 11AM. We had a two hour break since we finished going through our songs. PD-nim asked us to relax since we practically mastered our choreography and songs before our comeback. He just told us to give at our all two weeks before our comeback. That's why we're just going through our devices right now and checking out some memes the fans made for us.
"Me? Do you mean us?" I said as I opened up Twitter.
Jiwoo then gasped. "Wow! #JayBiasWrecker is number one!"
When I went through the trending list, I was indeed trending. It was because someone from the staff of Weekly Idol secretly filmed the song that I wrote with the caption. "Witnessed THE JayB of Alpha spontaneously write a song with the theme that the other groups randomly came up."
I raised a brow. "Look at that. #AlphaTakeTheLead is also trending."
Jeong Do chuckled as he heard me say that. "That's number 5 JayB-ya. Don't ignore the trends before that."
I was trying my best to ignore that I was trending far more than our group was since it was awkward for me. I wanted to express to my members that we were in this together, and that me going solo was still far in the future. But the 3 slots after #JayBiasWrecker were all about me. #hugJaYB, #IfItsNotYouJayB, and #LeavesJayB were also trending there so it was hard to ignore.
"Can we just not talk about it?" I suggested.
Matt-hyung smacked the back of my head. "Ya… I know what you are thinking. We're not jealous of it one bit. Okay?"
"Really?" I asked.
Yo Chul-hyung scoffed. "Of course. In fact, we're happy that you're finally taking some of the spot light that you've been generously giving to us."
Zhang nodded. "That's true. I'm tired of carrying this team through singing. I want to be a dancer too you know."
Seiji-hyung rolled his eyes. "There you go again. You're already good at singing, don't take dancing away from us too. Your rapping skills are already on par with the rap unit."
"I want to learn more. Especially when it comes to performing." Zhang answered.
I smiled at him as I offered my fist to him. "Let's trade spots one of these days."
"Call." He said as he bumped his fist with mine.
Suddenly, our manager, Wosik-hyung, went inside our studio. "What's up guys? Are you still on break?"
"Yes, hyung. Is there anything that you need?" I asked.
He smiled. "Not really. 'We Got Married' just called. You're going to start filming really soon. It's a surprise though. They just want me to give you a heads up so you won't freak out when a bunch of filming cameras approach you."
Dominic laughed. "I know what you mean. Matt-hyung was about to charge at them yesterday just by stalking us."
"It's their fault for not telling us ahead." Matt-hyung threw his hands in the air.
Wosik-hyung chuckled at their response. "Anyway, don't push yourself so much today. You still have a drama to film this afternoon. I'll be going with you since Ming Do-ssi will be supervising the rest of Alpha with their training."
I raised an eyebrow. "Hyung, I can drive there myself. You should get some rest. I heard that you've been working really hard lately because of the drama AND the TV shows that we're in."
He waved it off. "It's part of the job. Besides, I know you're going to be tired after filming since it'll take until late in the evening, possibly until dawn to film."
"That long? Alright. I'll be relying on you then. But dinner's on me. Understand?" I told him.
He smiled. "Fine. Let's have a good one."
After our short conversation. I went back to having a break. Soon, our schedules progressed as we rehearsed our lines for our songs while dancing. The challenge is that when we were dancing while we're holding a microphone. We sometimes forget that we have a mic on our hand and accidentally drop it at times. That was most especially true for Zee. Ever since then, he always had a lapel on, but there are times where he uses a shock-proof mic.
Our practices soon ended and I had to travel to Incheon to film my scenes for the drama. I was pretty much drained from practice already and I still had to give it all on my acting. Still, the filming went pretty much great with less takes. It's probably because I was working with professionals.
"Ya… I heard that you're going to get married soon." Shihyun-hyung said.
Seyoung-noona snapped her head towards me. "What? Really? But aren't you still young?"
Shihyun-hyung clicked his tongue. "Idiot. It's on a TV Show."
Seyoung-noona rolled her eyes at Shihyun-hyung. "We both know that you're the real idiot here. Anyway, JayB-ya, you must be going in that We Got Married show, aren't you?"
"Yes, noona. It's been all over the news actually. It's making me nervous even now." I replied to her.
She chuckled at me. "How is your wife going to handle you kissing another woman on TV?"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Shihyun-hyung sighed as he handed me the new script before heading inside the trailer. "This is for the upcoming episode. This is such a bad timing for you to be in that show."
I scanned through the script as I snapped my head to Seyoung-noona. "I have to kiss you?!"
She glared at me. "Ya! You don't have to be a jerk about it! What's wrong with kissing me, huh?"
"Ah! That's not what I meant! I was just surprised that's all. I actually signed the 'no kissing' form." I tried to explain.
She shook her head in disbelief. "Is having a kissing scene with me THAT bad?"
"No, it's not that." I tried to clarify things once more.
Seyoung-noona laughed brightly. "Relax. I'm just messing with you. It's just 2 short kisses. There's no harm in it."
I sighed. "I thought so. Wow, noona! Your acting skills are still top notch even off camer- wait… what did you say?"
"What? That I'm just messing with you?" She replied.
I shook my head. "The one after that."
She raised her brow before clapping her hands. "Oh! The two short kisses. What about it?"
"Two?!" I scanned through the script as I tried to look for the part where I had to kiss her again. I only saw one that says 'Kissing Scene'.
She laughed as she stopped me from frantically scanning the script almost ripping it to shreds. "The other one is just a peck on the cheek."
"It's still a kiss nonetheless." I told her worriedly.
She smiled at me as she patted my back. "Your wife will understand. I promise. She might be disappointed when the time comes but she will realize that work means work."
I sighed not knowing what to expect when that time finally happens. Just then Shihyun-hyung joined in on the conversation again. "Don't worry, JayB-ya. At least you won't be kissing her many times over."
"Ya! What does that supposed to mean?!" Seyoung-noona retaliated.
They bickered a little bit more which ended up making me feel less nervous now. Finally, the filming ended at 2AM in the morning, and I could honestly say that bringing my manager along was the best decision because the moment I entered the car, I immediately passed out from exhaustion.
_________
"JayB-ya… wake up…" My manager shook me a little from the passenger seat.
We probably just arrived in the dorm. That was a good 30-minute nap. Even though I was a little groggy, I quickly grabbed my things as I prepare to get out of the car. It was really difficult since I was still pretty much tired. I was about to open the door on my side when I saw a bunch of people standing in front of the dorm door.
"Wosik-hyung… there are people here." I said in a whisper.
He chuckled. "I know."
I snapped my head towards him as I whisper-yelled. "Why are you being so calm about this?!"
His chuckle turned into a laugh as he patted my shoulder. "Relax, JayB-ya. It's safe. When you get there. Just pretend that you know them and act like it's a surprise. Besides, it's what you've been waiting for."
My eyes widened in surprise. "Really?! Is this finally going to happen?!"
"You just have to go and find out." He smirked.
I gave him a quick hug before getting out of the car with a smile on my face. It's actually finally happening. I made my way towards the dorm as I pretended to look tired but still kept that smile on my face. I fixed myself quickly as I was about to be filmed. The camera crew and the showrunner assigned to me took notice as I was coming and they quickly started filming me.
"Hello. Good morning. You've probably waited a long time for me. I'm sorry." I greeted them and quickly apologized.
The showrunner gave me a warm smile. "We actually just arrived since your manager was also communicating with us regarding the time you were coming home."
That Wosik-hyung is actually an accomplice after all. Still, he did a great job not being able to get noticed by me. The showrunner then briefed me as to what to do. After a short orientation she then gave me an excited smile. "Are you ready to finally get married?"
"Am I? I'm actually pretty nervous about it." I replied with a wry smile.
Just on cue, she then asked the crew to start filming again as I walked towards the door and greeted them. There was a red mailbox again in front of our door. It was exactly like the one that I found yesterday. I took the content inside as my heart continued to beat rapidly.
Reading the contents out loud didn't help since the nervousness was soon replaced with excitement. "Dear JayB. Are you ready to begin your married life? But first, you need to find your wife-to-be. Come to Suseong Lake, Daegu tomorrow morning and meet her there. I hope you have a fulfilling and prosperous marriage."
"Is this really happening?" I turned to the camera and the showrunner as they gave me a nod.
I laughed as I checked the letter again. "What do I do now? I was tired a few seconds ago. How do you guys expect me to sleep at this point?"
The crew laughed as soon as they heard me say that. I was really pretty much awake at this point. I was finally going to start my marriage life today. The noise coming from us actually woke my members up. As soon as they saw the cameras, they greeted them. After showing them the letter, they too became excited. Dominic just came home from somewhere else, but was just as happy to celebrate as everyone else. The crew then asked permission if they could film our reactions about what I was going to do later when I meet my wife. The rest of the hour became a noisy and chaotic scene as the members teased me unceasingly.
After what seemed like forever, I finally was able to get some sleep as I drifted off to dreamland with a smile on my face. Gosh… I just hope it's her. No, I shouldn't think about it like that. Whoever she is, I'll love her unconditionally. I promised to.
_________
"Ahhh… I still can't believe that I'm about to meet her." I said to no one in particular since there were a bunch of cameras hooked up inside my car.
The crew of WGM were driving close by as we head to Daegu together. I was alone in my car while being filmed the entire time. This situation didn't help at all. After waking up this morning, my excitement was replaced with nervousness again as I prepared for my trip to Daegu. According to one of the staff whom I overheard, my wife already went ahead at 6AM while I was still preparing. We left my dorm at around 7AM so she was going to wait for me for about an hour.
"I need to relax… I need to… Ahh! We're here! We're finally here!" I said as I drove passed the sign that was telling me that we were in Daegu, but I was still a ways off from the lake park that we were supposed to meet.
"I wonder who she is… I wonder if we even have the same interests." I said out loud.
It took me around 20 minutes to get to the lake. Once I arrived, the showrunner from last night who turns out to be the director stopped me from getting out of the car and asked me to roll the window down instead. "We're going to start filming the moment you exit the car. We're going to hand you a mission card. So don't be too surprised. She's also going to receive the same mission card at the same time. Are you ready?"
I gave her a nod as I rolled the window back up again. I turned to see her give me a nod in return through the rearview mirror. I got of the car and breathed out heavily. "I'm finally here."
Just like in the script, I got the mission card. Why does my heart beat so fast when I open these things? I then read out the contents of the letter out loud. "JayB, Ready to meet your wife? There is a blue swan boat by the lake. The first one to get across has to sing for their partner. Make your first meeting will be memorable."
"So she's a singer? That's a hint right there. So an idol. That's wonderful! Wait, what if she isn't… Nah. It's fine." I was so excited that I was beginning to mumble words to myself.
After a while, I made my way to the nearest Swan Boat cycles and got on board. The other side was quite far but I did it anyway. This show is making me do all these crazy things. I still remember my date with Wendy back when Joy and Sungjae was still on this show. They were really pressuring us that time. But now, this is a different story. I'm actually going to get married. I'm a hundred times more nervous than how I was when we first debuted and all the other dates that I had.
When I reached the middle part of the lake, I noticed that there were a lot of Swan Boats floating around too. I tried to look for her but there was not a glimpse of her. What am I looking for anyway? I'm not even sure who she is. Should I just let her go ahead first? No, it's better if the guy surprises her first. It's probably going to create more impact when I get there first. After all, first impression usually last long.
But there's this question that's been bugging my mind a lot lately. What if my wife turns out to be HER? And I've already started moving on. No, that's not a good thing to think about now. Well, I'm just saying what if. I should probably stop thinking about this. I'm just digging up my own grave. No matter who she is… treat her like a queen. That's what Matt-hyung said when Lisa said yes to her. Forget about the past and move forward. Either way, if it turns out that she either is or isn't, it's a new road for me to take anyways.
I finally arrived on the other side. As I got off the boat, I noticed that there was a stage with a full band set-up on it. Is this where I should be meeting her? After looking around for a few minutes, I realized that I got here first. It must be hard to paddle to the other side alone. Well, since I'm here, better go the piano and think of a song for her.
As I was setting up the piano, I saw a familiar face approach the vicinity and was scanning the place. I quickly hid behind the piano to not let her see me. Is that really her? Or is this a coincidence that she's here as well.
She then took out the mission card from her bag as she turn around as if she was searching for something. So she's going to be my virtual wife. A sharp pain panged my heart as a wave of sadness suddenly washed over me. I quickly composed myself and firmed my resolve to make this a happy marriage as much as possible.
"Isn't this the place? Am I the first one here? I actually got lost while paddling and ended up coming here late. I thought that he would be here by now. Should I be performing for him then? What do I do?" She pouted as she placed the card back in her bag while sitting down on one of the empty chairs in front of the stage.
She was looking rather disappointed that she didn't get to see me first. I guess I better make my move. As soon as she turned away from the stage, I immediately sat down in front of the keyboard and begun playing the first song that came into mind which was K. Will's "Day 1".
She snapped at her head towards the stage again as she flinched a little from the sudden playing of the piano. As soon as she saw me up on stage, she covered her face as she burst out laughing. "OMO! It's you! I can't believe that it's actually you!"
I chuckled as I continued playing the intro. As soon as I played the last few notes to it, I opened my mouth to sing her the most fitting song today.
[What are you doing today? You busy?
If not, do you want to hang out with me?
I have something to tell you, it's nothing special
But I think I like you]
She giggled as soon as I sang the last line. I almost forgot what to sing next as I realized how cute she was. The more that she was smiling at me, the more I was slowly falling for her. And it was subconscious.
[I've never said that before
You're my lady, you're my baby
But really, I'm not kidding
From today, from now on
Will you be mine baby?]
She covered her mouth as soon as she heard the last line and started tearing up a little. She quickly wiped it off as she smiled at me while biting her lip. It made me go all out in the chorus as I sang…
[Of all the ugly guys
I'm the best looking
What do I have to do to let you know how I feel?
Thinking about you is driving me crazy
So I'm not that handsome
But I think I'm cute when I smile
I'll do better than all the guys out there, my love
I love you]
She laughed while giving an applause and giggling as I ended the song right there . I slowly stood up from my seat and started approaching her. Finally… we're here.
She blushed as she bowed slightly. "Hello…"
"Hello…" I awkwardly greeted back.
She smiled at me. "So… was that one of your famous 'spontaneous songs'?"
"Ah? Yes, I suddenly feel like singing it today of all days." I answered with a wry smile.
She giggled as she patted the seat beside her inviting me to join her. I didn't know that she was this aggressive. "Well don't just stand there. Come sit with your wife."
"W-Wife?" I stuttered as I slowly sat down beside her.
My reaction made her giggle once more as she raised her eyebrow at me. "What's wrong? Aren't you happy that I'm your wife? Were you expecting someone else? Maybe that mystery girl that everyone keeps talking about perhaps?"
"Ah! No! Of course not! I'm just… surprised and speechless about the situation." I answered back.
She chuckled. "So I guess the cool and calm leader of Alpha can be flustered every once in a while after all."
"Only with you…" I answered back.
She blushed a little. "Well... should I take that song that you sang a while ago as your confession?"
"Sure. You are my wife after all." I said trying to sound confident this time.
She squealed which surprised me. "It's actually exciting for someone to call me that now."
"What do you want me to call you then?" I raised my brow at her as I smirked.
She did the same. "I don't know… what do you want me to call you?"
I pondered about it for a while. "I don't know too."
She then hummed. "Hmm? So you're a producer and you're older than me, so PD-nim? Oppa-nim?"
"Ya? Am I even you're husband if you call me that?" I chuckled at her poor choice of endearments.
"So what do you want? Hmm… maybe 'Honey'?" She asked as I cringed and curled my fingers. It actually made my heart flatter. But we sounded like old people when we're actually younger.
She was observing my reaction. "You find it too mature for us. Don't you?"
"Yeah. We're a young couple so I think something people our age would suit us better." I answered her.
She placed her finger on her lips to ponder. Goodness… she's really cute. Why didn't I see that before? She then snapped her head at me. "Ah! I got it! Since you're older than me, I'll call you by an endearment, and you'll call me by my name but in a cute way."
"But I want to call you by an endearment." I said as I pouted at her.
She snickered before pinching my cheek. "Aigoo…"
I rubbed my cheeks as I saw her smiling brightly at me. She then bumped her shoulder lightly to mine. "Let's take it one step at a time. Okay… baby?~"
Her endearment was what I wanted to hear. She blushed from the sudden realization of what she just called me. Before she could react and hide herself from the embarrassment, I held her hand and returned a smile of my own. "Alright… Dahyun-ie… my wife."
