Atlanteans

Out jumped multiple blue-skinned men with black hair, wearing suits with bubbled helmets filled with water to breathe, wielding various weapons from simple to advance, it was obvious they were making use of technology that was not their own.- "Surrender now surface dwellers and no harm shall come to you," came a gurgled command from one of them.

Selene's eyes brightened seeing a completely different species separate from the deviants that she knew none of the others have gotten to yet, she could see the potential.

Theoric not in the best mood after learning of his failures, raised his hand wrapping each of them in energy, bringing them to their knees,

Tried as they might, they could do nothing against his power,- "What is this, I demand you release us immediately or face grave consequences."

"Tell me who you are and what you want, now!" Commanded Theoric, slowly squeezing them.

Hearing the cries of his brethren, another one shot out of the water, landing on the deck, wearing far better gear than the rest,- "Please stop, we only wish to ask you questions," he pleaded before turning to the one who spoke first to them,- "I told you Madronn to subdue them peacefully if you could, our goal was only to ask questions not to raid them."

Seeing someone reasonable, Theoric paused his actions.

Madronn gave the man the cold shoulder but remained quiet in the face of a superior.

Turning back to their group, the new one bowed,- "Please accept my humble apologies, we came here to investigate the disappearance of our scouts who were sent to discover what the disturbance was."

Madronn still struggling to free himself, scowled at this display,- "How dare you bow your head to these inferior beings, where is your pride, I knew your promotions was a mistake, how could they allow someone so feeble to become a commander, you're a disgrace."

Selene pulled Theoric away to have a private discussion while they argued amongst themselves.

Selene- "Let me have them."

Theoric lifted an eyebrow- "What?"

Selene- "I can use them, we can use them, we need an army to combat another army, let me turn them into that army."

Theoric rubbed his chin looking over at the intruders,- "I don't know, it's not right to force someone to fight for us, I told you I don't like that."

Selene not willing to let such a good opportunity go, took things into her own hands,- "Fine, I'll take them and you can say you were against it."

Before he could do anything, she zoomed by and attacked, draining them one by one, taking control of them.

Nina- "What are you doing?!"

Sigyn- "Bad Selene, Bad!"

Grani stepping in front of Sigyn to defend in case anything happened.

Lydia- "Um, the Atlanteans are not going to like that."

Theoric- "Lydia, you know them?"

Lydia nodded- "Mn, mother told me about them, they're kind of like cousins to us, only they have a vast underwater society that she told us to avoid at all cost."

Done with her deed, Selene further answered,- "The Atlanteans are a powerful force in the Atlantic and control vast sections of territory. They may be primitive due to their underwater situation, but they are learning quickly from their deviant foes who they often clash with, taking what technology they find off of them to further grow their empire."

Theoric gave her a disappointed look- "Was that really necessary?"

Selene not interested in his morality simply said,- "Yes, I, we need an army, this is the best we could hope for to fight the Deviants, I will leave with them and subjugate more so that I can attack the Deviants stronghold and weaken their position before they can act, this is the best way to save Athens."

Nina about to say something stayed silent after she mentioned Athens, and before Theoric could say anything she already had the Atlanteans jumping back in the water with her right behind.

Selene called out,- "I'll do what I must Theo, I hope the next time we meet you can forgive me," she said diving below.

Theoric felt very conflicted with everything that just happened, but he knew he should have stopped it, and he would have if she was anyone else.

Sigyn knowing how he must be feeling went over to comfort him- "It's okay Theo, this was her choice, not yours, don't blame yourself."

Theoric- "But I could have stopped it."

Nina- "No, Sigyn is right, this was her choice, even if you could have stopped it now, she would have just gone behind your back later, I think things ended as they were meant to, now you just need to decide whether or not you'll take her back."

"Will you take her back?" Asked a curious Lydia.

Theoric sighed- "If she still wants to come back, yes I'll probably take her back, I'll just have to make more of an effort into making sure she doesn't do anything evil."

Nina- "And if she does? What then?"

Theoric was starting to get a headache being asked all these tough questions, rubbing his head he snapped,- "I don't know! Okay, maybe when there is no longer an excuse for the things she does, that'll be the end."

Nina gave him a look- "Sounds a bit wishy-washy to me."

Theoric huffed- "Yeah well, life is never simple or easy, I'll deal with things as best as I can and worry about the rest later, besides, I'm sure there are plenty of Atlanteans, not likes she's going to wipe them out... Hopefully, I guess then we would have a problem."

Nina became curious- "Why do you care so much about things getting wiped out or not?"

Theoric thinking of the Acanti, replied,- "I have my reasons, why? Do you not agree that all races should be allowed to live and have a place in the world?"

Nina thinking of the Gorgons decided it was best not to answer him.

Sigyn grinned- "It's a wonderful dream Theo, I support you, I like this new Theo."

Lydia tilted her head- "New Theo?

Sigyn- "Mn, you didn't know Theo before, but he didn't use to be this kind to others, only to me, but coming to earth he started to show a new side I've never seen before, it's been nice."

Hearing Sigyn mention this again, Theoric started to seriously think about his change since the Acanti. It was true he was kinder than he used to be, but he didn't think it was anything bad like Sigyn said, so he wasn't concerned too much, and then it hit him, maybe he should be concerned with not being concerned. Not liking the thoughts he was having, he slipped away to go mull over things in private, he knew the old him wouldn't have cared about what Selene did, but maybe that was why he was at least willing to take her back, he had a lot to think about.
