Reaching out to the Podium

My name is Marina Weng and this is my story.

I was born into a wealthy family, my parents love me and care a lot about me. Since I was young I got everything I wanted.

Even when I said that I wanted to be an Idol no one opposed me. And they even let me take the audition at K.L entertainment.

I always used to listen to music, I could even write my own song and I took piano lessons, that's why I passed the audition with top marks.

It's already been eight months since I became a trainee in K.L entertainment. And I'm going to debut as a Solo Artist soon.

When I entered the company, they said that I shouldn't waste my talent by joining a girls group. That's a point I agree on.

I already finished shooting the MV last week, my song will be named Queen. I'm so excited to see how it will turn out. Even my stage name is pretty cool, Mary.

Right now I'm still practising my dance moves because everything needs to be perfect.

On the day of my song's release, I will be participating in the show MusiQLaureat, and I expect to win an award as a newcomer on the show. I still have 3 days to go.

I have an older brother who studied abroad for six years now, he's named Taylor.

We speak a lot on Skype. As I see him, he became pretty smart and handsome. But I know he is still running after a girl with his fame and money.

He always was a protective brother with a lot's of caring. According to dad, he will be taking care of Dad's company with he'll be back.

It's already 7 pm, I should go out or else I'll miss the last bus.

I told the chauffeur to not come to pick me up after my trainings because I never know at what time I'll finish. I always manage to take the last bus and go home before it's too late.

It's weird even though today I'm only 30 minutes late than every day there is no one on the bus stop.

I'm not really scared but the feeling is kinda creepy. And there are many bars near here so I could encounter some drunk weirdos.

Just when I think about that I see three drunk men.

"Hey, pretty girl! Wanna hang out with us tonight?"

"Hmm, Guys look at those legs. They look tasty ain't they?"

"Right! Pretty girl, would you come and play with these brothers?"

Before I could speak, I hear someone speaking.

"Leave her and go before I call the cops."

"Shhh... Let's go guys."

I see them go without speaking back.

And I turn myself to see the man who help me.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, thanks"

He's a tall man with dark hairs and grey eyes.

He looks pretty attractive but not my type.

"That's good then. I see you every day taking the bus here but you should take the bus earlier because we always have those kinds of guys at this time."

"Normally I take the bus at 7 pm but I have some business to do. That's why...."

"Don't worry. I'm not saying this to scare you. But you should have someone with you at this time. That's all."

"True. But I have still 2 days left. Until then I will take the bus at this time."

"I have a proposition, If you don't mind of course."

"Hum. Tell me."

"Do you want me to stay with you at the bus stop for those two days?"

I feel weird and I blush as if he just proposed to me. What am I thinking? He is just trying to help me.

"Thanks! That will be great." I see the bus coming. "I will be going then. Bye"

After coming home, I hurry and take my shower. Because today is the day I was waiting for.

Finally, my favourite group, Pheromon's MV is out. I couldn't wait to watch it after the teaser was out 3 weeks ago. The song is named Sweet Scent. Even with the name, I'm liking it already, and the teaser was so cool.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm watching it only for Tahn.

Tahn is the lead vocalist of Pheromone and he looks so handsome. He was a child model before getting in music industries and he's in the same company as me. I saw him a few times but we never talked a lot, sometimes our schedules will overlap and I saw them training for their songs.

And obviously you guys can see that I like him.

He even goes to the same school as me, F-Starz Academy. This school is known as the top one for art, it's not only for music but for every kind of art like painting, photography and all.

I start school next week, I hope I could see him.

I'm waiting at the bus stop right now.

It's weird normally Mark is already here waiting for me.

Maybe he's late because of some kind of work.

It's already the last day of my practice, yesterday I laughed a lot with Mark. He's a kind guy.

I even discovered that he's interested in music. In fact, he was in a company before, but he left the company before debuting because of some family issue. And so since then, he plays the piano at the bar to earn some money and work as a barman.

"Hey, Marina! Sorry for being late"

"No worries."

"So It's the last day. Hope you'll do great at your performance." He flashes me a smile. I feel my heart take a bump. I shouldn't fall for him, I like Tahn.

"Yeah, thanks.''

" Oh right. I'm changing jobs soon."

" That's cool Mark. Where are you working then?."

" You know I told you that I was in a debuting team and all. I used to write songs and so a producer I know agreed to take me in as an apprentice. And later on, I could do my own songs."

" That's a great opportunity. I'm happy for you."

At that time he smiles again and I smile at him. We look at each other.

And we lean closer, our lips touch and we kissed. I was a long and sensual kiss, with desire and lust.

We stop and I see the bus.

" The bus is here, I should go."

" Yeah, bye!"

" Bye!"

I sit on the bus seat all confused.
