UNKNOWN ATTACK

In the morning three of them sat in the round shaped fountain that was just in the middle of the busy street. The fountain poured from a marble statue; Anne thought it to be the statue of Cupid. It was beautiful and clean. The structure did cover a large area. There were also other people standing beside the marble fountain. They saw two pairs of couples sitting together hand in hand lost in their raw future.

Suddenly an arrow came piercing the freezing winter breeze and struck in the statue's forehead. All the people stood in surprised like who it was. The three of them looked one another holding their hands. Suddenly three long tubes were thrown up in the air by someone. The tubes fell down and broke and it had a total of six poisonous snakes in it. Now on the road, they were about to bite people. A large hue and cry started among the people and they ran here and there, just when were running some people started burning dried red chillies in large areas. The air started to fill with burning smell , the paths became hardly visible and people started coughing really hard, some tried to cover their face with clothes but it didn't work, some of them were bitten by snakes and died right in the spot on the road, the three of them ran for cover but Anne couldn't stand the smell in the air and was coughing by trying to cover her mouth with cloth. She felt her whole neck was burning, her eyes were burning, she cried and fell down, Isle and Chloe tried to help her but the poor girls could hardly breathe in the air. After fighting some for time, Anne spotted someone in horse approaching towards them and raised her hand up while covering her mouth with the other hand. Anne couldn't hold any longer and fell down senseless. The guy on the horse was followed by a group of soldiers carrying equipments to save the people. It was William.

He came and saw her lying on the ground and without any delay, carried her in his arms and took her right away from that place.

Before opening her eyes, Anne smelled a perfume, it was a mild fragrance. It reminded her of her parents. She opened her eyes slowly and the fragrance was gone. She was back to the castle. She was back to those suffocating closed walls. She got down and saw one of her maids coming to her with an ointment and dress for her to change. The other maid bought her a glass of milk with cashews.
