I Remember Why She Looks So Familiar

At Delhi University....

Desha had just finished her last class for the day at the university. She had to go see Sonal at Mehra TV, she could not go with her friends to the hostel and chit chat with them, rest and come back home like she nor normally does every week day.

She explained to her friends her reason for leaving immediately after class. They understood and told her they would see her in class the next day.

The taxi that Desha boarded stopped in front of Mehra TV. She normally takes taxis back home from the university while the family driver drops her at college in the mornings.

Excitedly she came down from the taxi, paid the taxi driver and went inside the TV station. Sonal and Jumpa were currently on set for a live entertainment show.

At the moment, they were interviewing a famous entertainer from the entertainment industry, so Desha had to wait.

But Desha is the kind of person that likes to explore, instead of sitting down at the waiting lounge for Sonal, she decided to walk around the TV station.

Though the manager had instructed one of the employees to give her a tour before today, thanks to Yuvi, she still decided to give herself a personal tour. After a while she came back to the waiting lounge.

Sonal and Jumpa were just rounding up and closing the entertainment show for that day. When they came out of the set, Sonal was immediately Informed by one of the staffs that Desha was waiting for her in the waiting lounge.

Sonal was not surprised because before now, the head of the entertainment section was told by the manager who inturn told Sonal that Desha would be visiting and the purpose of her visit.

After being informed, Sonal told Jumpa to come along. Although Sonal would be the one with the mic of Mehra TV on Delhi University convocation day, some of her colleagues like Jumpa will be there to assist.

For example, getting the graduants, lecturers or even the parents and guardians of the graduants to get a live interview by Sonal.

The others had done the interviewing a great number of times, at one point or the other. Sonal was given the chance so she could gain more experience and handle more difficult task in the future like the others.

The work at Mehra TV gets rotated. Even if one person owns a show, he or she must have a different assistant for the show every week from his department. That way, everyone gets to work together.

This is done just incase the person in charge of the show is in absentia. Another person can easily fill up for him or her. This way works go on smoothly till the person returns.

When Sonal and Jumpa got to the waiting lounge. Desha stood up and greeted them namaste. They responded by saying namaste Desha together.

Sonal introduced Jumpa to Desha and vice versa. She explained to Desha that Jumpa is her colleague and has more experience on set.

That Desha should feel free to ask her questions aswell that she needed answers for. Desha shook her head, said ok and acknowledged Jumpa.

Before they started the question and answer session, Sonal suggested they do that over lunch. As it is, it is already lunch break, she looked at her wrist watch as she said that.

The Three of them went over to the cafeteria and sat at the extreme end where they would not be disturbed and won't disturb other staffs who came for their lunch.

While they eat their meal, the questions Desha had in mind and asked mostly had to do with demonstration of answers on the university grounds.

The other questions were easily tackled and answered by Sonal and Jumpa. Sonal studied abroad, she worked in her university media house, she is smart and can easily adapt to new challenges.

Sonal has always been developing herself through research ever since she graduated and now she is practicalising it at Mehra TV. She could answer the questions without missing words just as great as Jumpa who has been working at Mehra TV longer than her.

Although Sonal is smarter, she also has an edge over her colleagues, in the sense that she can adapt to new and surprising challenges at shorter times while her colleagues took more time to adapt to new and surprising challenges.

When Desha was done with all the questions that she had. Sonal and Jumpa picked another date that they would not be on set to visit Delhi University to answer the other questions that could not be answered with mere talking.

Desha thanked them, asked if they could take a snap shot with her. They agreed. Sonal then called one of her other colleague who was present at the cafeteria at that time to snap them using Desha's phone.

Desha then collected their numbers to keep in touch, added them on we chat, sent an invite, they accepted her, she then sent the pictures of the three of them to their we chat accounts respectively.

She bade them good bye and went home while they went back to tidy up things before the close of the day.

At Mehra mansion...

Desha came home excitedly, her mum was in the living room when she entered. Namaste mum, she greeted, namaste Desha, you so excited today, did you win a lottery or something? her mum jokingly asked.

She replied as she said, no mum I didn't win a lottery. I went to Mehra TV after my classes at the university. They entertainment anchors are very nice.

They answered all my questions, even the dumb ones I purposely asked to throw them off balance just to tease them where answered brilliantly.

Desha you shouldn't be mischievous, you need their help and you are trying to frustrate them, Desha so wrong of you. Her mum scolded her lightly.

Yes mum but it was fun, they didn't complain, they were very nice to me. I won't be mischievous anymore, I promise mum. Desha replied.

That is much better Desha, her mum replied. By the way you know I don't really have the time to sit down to watch the entertainment shows in Mehra TV.

I haven't had the time to check out who the new entertainment anchor is. Mehra TV hired just one person for the entertainment show this time around right? her mum asked.

Yes mum, she was the one I met today, one of her colleague was there with her today, so they both gave me more pointers on what I was not clear about.

I even snapped a photo with them today. Desha said. Really dear? her mum asked. Yes mum, I will show you the photos in just a minute, Desha replied.

Desha brought out her phone from her bag, clicked on the gallery and showed her mum. Her mum took the phone from Desha and looked at the pictures.

She pointed at Sonal's photo and said to Desha that Sonal looked familiar. She raised her head, thought for a little while. She suddenly seemed to remember something.

She looked at Desha and said, yes Desha I remember why she looks so familiar. She paused and continued... Sonal bumped into me in Delhi mall a very long time ago. But she is a very nice girl.

She then went ahead to explain to Desha what exactly had happened that day and how she she told Sonal she would invite her to tea sometimes.

This was a perfect opportunity to do so. So she told Desha to tell both Sonal and Jumpa that she is inviting them for dinner on the day they visit Delhi University.That she should give them a call before then, so they prepare for it just incase they might have other engagements that day.

Desha agreed to her mum's dinner plans, she saw it as a great idea. So she said ok mum, I will talk to them tomorrow after my lectures. I will call them and invite them, that is more convenient.

That is great dear, Sonal is very well cultured, I spoke to her about her being my daughter in-law. But Prakash seems not to be interested in setting down just yet, and you know Yuvi already has someone who he wants to get married to.

But honestly Desha, I believe she suits Prakash more. Desha's smiled broadly and excitedly asked, honestly mum you spoke to her about that? Yes dear I did and she was receptive. Though she didn't agreed out rightly to that, she didn't oppose either.

Mum it seems we are both on the same page on the subject matter. When I was going through her profile yesterday, I also thought about it, that she would make a great wife for big brother Prakash.

I was even thinking of talking about her to big brother Prakash about Sonal when he comes back home to visit from the army barracks.

That is so thoughtful of you dear but don't worry about it, I will try and talk to Prakash about Sonal, her mum replied. Thanks mum, Desha said and went upstairs to her room afterwards.

By this time, Sonal and Jumpa had closed from work. Sonal dropped Jumpa at her house and proceeded to the Singh Mansion to get Jasmine.

Jasmine had called her the previous night and told her about how Rohit treated her over the phone and what he said to her.

Sonal calmed her down and brought up the idea that they should see a movie at the cinemas after she closes from work today.

Sonal was currently at the front of the Singh's Mansion. She knocked on the front door. When one of the maids opened the door for her, she greeted namaste and informed the maid that she wanted to see Jasmine.

Although Sonal does not come to the Singh mansion as often as Jasmine visits the Arora Mansion, they do know her, that she is Jasmine's best friend.

The maid responded by saying namaste miss and then told Sonal that Jasmine was in her room and let her in. Sonal greeted namaste to those she saw in the house as she proceeded upstairs to Jasmine room.

Jasmine was excited to see Sonal, they chit chatted for about 10 minutes as Jasmine was getting fully ready to step outside. Jasmine loves wearing heavy make up un like Sonal who preferred light make up. Hence the 10 minutes for the chit chat in Jasmine's room.

The girls got out of Jasmine's room, went downstairs, then Jasmine informed her family members who were present at home at that time, that she was going to the cinemas with Sonal.

At the cinemas...

Sonal and Jasmine decided to watch a romantic movie, but they did not realise that it was the wrong choice at the moment. Jasmine was in a fragile state, her fiancee, Rohit is not being romantic at all, currently he is the opposite of romantic.

Before they went inside the cinemas, they bought the large size popcorn and two cups of soda drinks. Inside the cinemas, they shares the popcorn and drank their soda drinks respectively while watching the movie.

After watching the romantic movie, Sonal and Jasmine came outside, the movie was so interesting, in the end, amidst disagreements, the boy proposed to the girl and the girl accepted.

The boy then travelled for work. He called the girl everyday till he got back. When he got back, he married her and they lived happily ever after.
