Ivy managed to keep her cool throughout the rest of that lunch period despite the fact that a bomb had been dropped on her. She didn't end up paying attention to anything happening in her next class but that wasn't a big deal since it was P.E. and they were running the mile.

Carson hadn't quite managed to cover his thoughts by thinking of completely random things in time today. She recognized those kinds of thoughts immediately. How could she not after attending public school for so long?

Those were the thoughts of someone with a crush. And they were directed at her for the first time in her life.
