Closing the door to the bathroom in my room, I had changed out into some normal clothes that Dr A had Devan give me. My entire back and left arm hurt like hell as the light sedatives I was given were twice the normal limit... 'Or so I've been told'.
["Alyssa-"] Turning from the doorway as I had walked only a step outside my room, the new girl had called out my name in a panic from the upper floor glass railing.
Rushing around and through the staircase, she eventually reached me as I remained in place.
"Gah-why... Are you out of bed!? "Waiting for her to catch her breath, I watched as our eyes met and I saw a burning fire in her gaze.
"Dr A said I could love around after a few hours. It's been a few hours. "Turning her eyes to the digital clock on the side of a massive skyscraper towering over the ine we were in, we looked through the glass roof as she called me out as it had only been a little over an hour. "Okay, fine. You got me. But I don't want to stay in one place. It makes me all, 'twitchy'. "
Standing firm as she met my gaze at eye level, I gulped and began walking away until her firm hand lifted me up from the floor in surprise.
"Eh-what?! Huh?! You-"Meeting her gaze as she held me in her arms with relative ease, I was stunned at how strong she was.
"Guess its a perk for being born-sorry-created a low-class mass produced clone. Hmm! "Her gentle smile had made me flustered as it threw me off my train of thought. "Come on, you need to rest or otherwise, I might just have to get creative on keeping your butt on that bed some other way. "
Blushing helplessly, she was more than I had initially thought. This woman was an entirely different world as everything she did and said made me want to pay attention more closely and notice every slight detail from the way she speaks to her every breath. I had fallen head-over-heels for her and yet, it was clear she was her most beautiful when I let her care for me.
"Leave this bed again, I'm tying a chain to your arms and legs, Alyssa. "Unresponsive as amy mind was still drawn at a blank, she then smirked and headed into the bathroom where she cleans doubt the bloodied clothes I had initially worn during the surgery. ["You won't be needing these will you? "]
Extending her arms with the trashcan as she showed me what was inside, I nodded blankly as she wapekd around the end and left to the door where she advised me to remain still.
As she left, I found myself waking up from my trance and turned to hold my face as I was burning up. Raising my legs and unsure of what was wrong with me, I soon had the thought of what would happen if she followed through on her threat. My eyes then abruptly began generating detailed scenarios of what could potentially happen as if it were some battle tactic.
Unable to look away, my face became even more red as the hyper-realistic stimulations of my already erotic mind had begun playing without rest.
Sharpening my eyes to the click of the door in fornt of me, I watched as my vision cleared and the beautiful girl locked the door behind her. Holding an ever hungry expression, I shivered in temptation as my body's as burning up.
"H-hey... "My voice was shaken, unsure of what to male of the situation. "Y-You mind of we... Can get Dr A to do a few follow up tests... B-because I feel-feel a slight. A bit of pain on my l-on-head... "
Bringing up against the soft fabric of the bed, I shifted backward as she calmly slid her hand over the sheets and onto mine. The touch of her soft, slender fingers sent waves of ecstasy through my body and for the first time in my new life, I was deathly afraid of what might happen.
Raising her hand and gently sliding her fingers up my arm, she then twirled my loose hair strands as I remained helpless to even move. Leaning closer to meet my gaze, her warm cool breath brushed against my cheek and collarbone as she leaned even closer.
"Hey, Alyssa! You know what know where that low-class clone went-"Devan, with his incredible timing had saved me as we turned and met his face as he remained speechless at first sight. "Uh... Hmm. You two-... I-... Yeah. I'm just gonna go-"
"No! I mean, since you took the trouble to come all the way here. Might as well stay a while, right? "Meeting his gaze with an aggressive light smile, he then tilted his head as if deliberating. "Well? You'll join us... Right! "
A grave expression came over his face as he walked inside and took a seat beside the bed. Lifting up her arm from my waist, I then stood up as I headed into the bathroom in a rush. Closing the door, I turned my back against the door as the adrenaline was suppressing my pain.
Looking onto the slim glass window, I gulped and before I knew it, my feet lightly touched through base of the building in an alleyway. Turning my head up to see the window I had just escaped from high above in the sky, I turned around and steadily began walking.
~•~•~•~•~
A little over an hour had passed as I wandered around the city during the daytime shift. Everywhere I went and looked, there were dozens of workers and while I met their identical faces, my curiosity in this place had begun to fade.
Touching up my hair, I walked inside a busy building where I borrowed a green jumpsuit and cap along with the disguise. Having the added layer of safety, I simply roamed around a little more before heading back to do 'god knows what'.
"Hmm? "Watching from across the street, a group of workers had begun moving in an unfamiliar pattern towards a vacant alleyway.
Rounding the corner into the dark and eerie path, I walked inside and before I knew it, I had become completely surrounded on both ends. Lowering my gaze as I tilted my head, a soft smile formed at the base of my lips as the situation felt just right.
Hearing the first break in their formation to my left side behind me, I It lying snapped to the floor and shot my knee up as the worker went flying, colliding with the opposite building across the street.
Seeing a glint in my artificial arm, a worker was in mid-air holding a sleek metal rod as it came bearing down towards my head. Raising a wicked smile, the sound of metal twisting echoed within the alley way as I had countered the blow using my left arm. Slamming my left foot onto the ground, a powerful blow sent the worker up several feet into the air.
The remaining two hostile workers then twirled beside one another as they then proceeded with attacking me in unison. Narrowly dodging each lethal strike, a missed punch broke a massive hole on the side of a solid metallic building next to us. Raising an overjoyed expression, I countered their left and right punches with both my hands.
Stomping and breaking the concrete on the floor, I slammed their faces into the floor by pulling them straight down. Twirling around their exposed backs, I then picked them up by their collars as my attack had barely scraped them. Throwing them one at a time at the opposite side of the road, I then chuckled playfully until looking up and taking a step back.
Starting up a charge, I then flipped forward a few times until shooting into the air and spinning as I unloaded a powerful kick toward the falling worker I had sent flying earlier. The sheer weight of my attack sent him shooting across the air and slamming into the other three.
An explosion of dust erupted from the opposite building as I walked out of the alleyway with much more excitement than I knew what to do with.
Seeing me as the air cleared, they flinched as I continued walking while preparing to receive them all at once. Stomping, I then swiftly moved between their simultaneous attacks as each broke the air around me, narrowly scraping my skin. Twirling into the air, I then elegantly slammed two of them towards the floor while simultaneously kicking the other two in opposite directions.
Sliding on the sleek and smooth floor, I remained hunched over with a bloodthirsty gaze as they all recovered and watched as I had begun to struck fear into their eyes. It was clear they weren't normal workers, let alone residents of any kind here. After exchanging blows, I discovered everything about them individually as they made one too many mistakes.
Peering onto the fourth worker, she flinched taking a step back as the wither three moved to cover in front of her. Smiling as I had found their weakness rather easily, I hunched forward and exploded off the ground as I had reached her gaze and passed right by the other three in an instant.
Extending my right hand, another powerful explosion erupted as the wither three turned and saw me holding the worker by her throat in the air. Racing towards me with unrefined attacks and desperation, I swiftly tossed the worker right at them and sent them flying into the middle of the road.
Gasping, their groans and shouts of pain made it all the more easier to pick them off. However, through it all, a sharp blade scraped my cheek as it flew past me and onto the ground. Holding my gaze underneath my green cap, I stood firm in front of the devastated lobby entrance as three new hostile workers had arrived.
Keeping still, I let their reinforcement take the ones I thrashed away from sight. Seeing their movement from the very second they arrived, it was clear they were communicating through some sort of network within the mind-space.
('I see… 'A shared consciousness'.)
Widening my eyes, the concrete on the road was stripped right off as I had blocked an abrupt attack with my left arm. Standing firm, I let out a helpless laugh as the sudden shock under the workers cap when seeing the difference in strength made the other two pull her off by force.
Standing firm and reminding still while holding my arm beside my head, I tilted my head as they then spread out in an attempt to take me on all at once.
Sharpening my resolve, I lowered into a stance and raised my hands slightly into the air. Inhaling a deep breath, I then waited until a snap of time and in less of a second, time moved slowly as they sprung for the attack.
Crossing my arms and shifting my body, I then spun their movements and sent them flying in every direction. Time sped up against as I opened my eyes into a low gaze and exhaled lightly. The three of them took a heavy blow after colliding with the immense force they were to use on me. None of them could love an inch as all they could do was watch in utter defeat.
Snapping my eyes wide, I reasserted my stance as an unknown worker wearing silver and back abruptly attacked me out of nowhere. Taking their blow with all I had, I clearly heard the metal protecting my organs shatter as I was sure whoever it was felt the same way after countering either my own blow.
Sending each other flying in opposite directions, I tumbled violently through a few buildings until collapsing at a strong steel wall. Collapsing and coughing up bits of metal along with blood, I twitched my eye as whoever it was, they were strong.
Standing back up with my clothes ruined once again, I hunched over and forced the metal within me to jumble together as I dug my feet into the floor and exploded towards the enemy. Breaking the dozens of glass walls and windows in my wake, I broke the sound barrier until time stopped and my bloodcrazed gaze inches from the staggering hostile worker.
Immediately, more than half a block was torn apart in my attack as I followed up with multiple attacks and dug myself into a crater where I had completely immobilized the enemy, rendering her unconscious.
As the heavy smoke and dust continued to swirl everywhere, I gasped desperately as I was about to end the fight with the winning blow. At least, that's what I planned until a razor sharp whip of electricity wrapped around my wrist as I swung my fist.
Suddenly finding myself restrained and unable to break free, my eyes and anger had overwhelmed me as I was steadily growing more powerful. Breaking my right hand free, I then grabbed hold of the burning whip and sent the one holding it flying across the air.
Screaming in a fit of rage and agony, my monstrous voice echoed throughout the city as it shook the very ground I was standing on. Exploding free, I soon lost sight of what I was doing as my body began to set off a chain of small firecrackers all around me. Before long, my eyes began to turn into a deep dark red as my teeth clenched despite the blood spilling from inside.
Taking a single step, the ground shattered and an even greater crater appeared a mile wide. Raising my arms and tilting my head, I screamed into the air as all the glass in the city shattered and had broken in an instant. Feeling my strength steadily grow in a rapid manner without an end in sight, I began to lose my self awareness as my vision began to fade.
Thinking there easily no hope as I had been engulfed in utter agony and rage, a sudden bright light shined into the ceiling of the city as I lowered my gaze and saw the woman I had saved standing before me.
Slamming me down towards the ground, our powers collided and blended together as I broke free and sent her flying miles into the city, breaking through everything in sight. Reckless in my attacks and lost in the anger, I rushed the woman and was immediately thrown into the air as she then twirled and slammed a powerful kick beside my head towards the ground.
A powerful shockwave echoed through the city as I instantly shot up from the ground and pushed the woman into the ceiling with immense force. Punching rapidly and blindly, it was clear I had was in every way stronger than her yet, her eyes held a glint behind her arms as she stared deeply into my face.
Shaking with even more blind anger, my screams grew more violent until I threw a punch and it slid past the woman's face as she dropped her defenses to wrap her arms around me. Punching her sides, I felt her blood spill onto my cheek and shoulder.
Steadily losing steam, I then looked down to my chest and found a dozen needles that had sprung from within her and pierced my skin. Heavy sedatives entered my body and as I clenched my teeth and whaled violently, my body grew numb as she continued injecting me with needles she had embedded in her body.
Before long, I lost all my strength and fell backwards into the city. Wrapped well with the woman's arms, I responded with silence as I could clearly see my own tears flowing up from my face. Only finding myself thinking a single thought and hazely saying it aloud with a broken voice.
"'You really do… scare me-...'" Blacking out while free falling in her arms, I closed my eyes as a terrifying sound echoed in my ears.
["It'll be okay… I won't let you go that easy, Alyssa. "]
~•~•~•~•~•~
Opening my eyes abruptly, the sound of chains snapping made it clear that I was being heavily restrained in place. Exhausting an irritated sigh, I rolled my eyes and shook my head while resting from even turning. Inhaling a deep breath through my nose, I snapped my muscles and broke free with relative ease.
Sitting up, I then took off the stupid restricting face mask while taking a look around my torture dungeon. A sleek and well kept room with streaming lights flowing along the walls made either clear that it was some high-tech prison. Looking onto the sleek black dome on the corners of the room, I stretched my back as I could still feel my sides hurt from those previous attacks.
Seeing the data in my eyes, I had been knocked out first well over a month. My injured have been tenders to and I was almost like myself. Clenching my hands, I sat down at the edge for the table where I remembered every second of it. I regret ever hurting her and nearly tearing apart the city in my blind rage. My instincts had overwhelmed me and I had absolutely no control. Had I not been stopped as I was, I could have become even worse and destroyed everything.
Hearing the metal gears in the door which as several layers thick, it slowly opened and in came Dr A as well as Dean who was to afraid to look at me.
"Alyssa. "Turning to meet her gaze, she gulped as she was also afraid of what had happened. "You are okay, right? I've been nearby ever since I finished your surgery. Listen, about the city-"
"Why the hell am I like this? "Silence befell the whole room as a million things were running through everyone's minds. "I nearly destroyed more. Than half the god-damn city!? What the hell kind of monster am I?! "
Holding her fade low and closing her eyes as she was obviously troubled by it, she took a seat beside me and spoke.
"As it stands… you aren't ready for the truth. Let alone the special mission I had prepared for you and your team. I had no way of knowing enemy spies had infiltrated my kingdom while I was away to go get you. Its my fault for not keeping you safe sooner. Sorry, I'm so sorry Alyssa! "
Bowing her head slightly, I could only hold disgust at myself for being fine with whatever the hell I was.
"You can't tell me why I am abnormally strong… Or is it that you won't… is that it? "Gaping her mouth, I interrupted her as I stood and she flinched. "I see. Even you are afraid of me. I can now see why my former self ran away in the first place… I'm a monster capable of destroying entire countries. Why-why was I even born or created? My existence is impossible to comprehend! Why am I even here. "
As the light in my eyes began to fade, a sudden series of echoing footsteps raced and echoed beside my left ear until a sudden warm embrace collided with me out of nowhere.
"Alyssa! Alyssa is awake! My sweet Alyssa! "Shocked, I turned whole being pushed onto the floor as the woman who had stopped me was the same I had saved. "Hmm! Hey! You shouldn't be going round losing it like that! It took all I had just to calm you down. But, I'm glad it worked out. Your here again! Hmm-hmm! "
Speechless, I could only look away from her as all I saw was flashes of me hurting her when I lost control. Turning my face to meet her clear green eyes that had turned all hit white when we fought, she then smiled brightly and kissed my cheek. Stunned by her warmth, it felt as if the world had faded away and all I saw and wanted to feel was her right by my side.
"S-sorry… "Humming, her attitude and behavior towards me had changed once again, however, she was still her over obsessive self. "Listen, I'm so-"
Shutting me down by laying her finger into my lips, met her cheerful gaze as she calmly spoke the words I most wanted to hear.
"Shh! As long as we are together, I won't ever let you be alone. Okay. "The others remained still as she gently placed my head onto her soft, warm summer dress and sobbed quietly as I was utterly broken up about what happened.
It was too soon to say what exactly I was here for and what was going to happen, though, despite the uncertainty, the woman beside me was exactly the warmth I needed in my life. As long as I had her around to keep me in check, I can find a bit of happiness in a sea of endless uncertainty.
