A couple days had passed since he started to practice the lightning metal technique. He had gotten to the point where he was confident in reforging the Kiba to the point of improving the technique of the forging but it was not to the maximum of the technique. There were things that he could still improve on with the technique but it would take longer to master. He decided to reforge the Kiba but he decided to still practice the technique to improve it as well as master the wind forging technique and then combine the two with the advanced release forging.
Riku brought out the Kiba swords and started to heat up the swords on the furnace. He let the metal melt as he was constantly channeling lightning release to enhance the lightning chakra channeling already in the metal to a better degree. This part was very important as the lightning metal already help the channeling but using your own chakra molds the metal to get used to channeling a person's own chakra signature with more ease. He made sure to channel his lightning release through the metal the whole time. He also summoned Asami and channeled her spirit chakra into the blade to make sure that her signature will flow thoroughly although it will not be as good as the flow of lightning release this would help. Once the metal was completely melted he poured the metal into the mold that he formed. The mold he made was in the shape of the Kiba as well as he decided he wanted to honor his uncle as much as possible with the reforge. When the metal fully was set in the shape he wanted he did his finishing touches on the blade. He cut all of the excess of the sword off and made sure the blade was sharp. He then carved the kanji for Katto on the side of the blade. He then created the handle for the blade making it similar to the original as well. This was when Hayato walked into the room.
Hayato: You finished reforging it huh.
Riku: Yes. What do you think? Sadly it is not fully complete to the point that I want it to be at.
Hayato: A wonderful blade and I can see that it will only get better from here.
Riku: Thanks.
Hayato: Come on we need to get back to the village. We have been away for awhile and your mother will want us back.
Riku: Ok just let me grab the books and the piece of wind metal I mined.
He went to the library where he normally stored his things. When he was in the library grabbing everything he saw a book that he didn't have the chance to go through yet. The book said water piercing needle forging technique. He read through the book and saw that it was a book that had a jutsu for the needles as well as a forging technique. He the grabbed the needles that he obtained from Haku and started to figure out what metal it was made from. He found that the needles were made out of a water metal. The reason that it never showed any water release techniques with Haku was that the forging was sloppy as the needles showed evidence of being mass produced. But the hints of the metal was still there. There was the issue of combining water release in the forging making it a bit difficult but it was still possible. He also wasn't proficient in water release as he never practiced it he decided to take the book and would reforge the needles.
Now with all of their items gathered they headed back to Konohagakure. The trip would be awhile but during this trip Hayato taught Riku the water release that he knew. Hayato was decent at water release but not a master. Hayato learned water release purely to increase the versatility of his ninjutsu. Riku also decided when he got back he would ask the Hokage to help him master water release.
Eventually they got back to the village and there was major news in the village. When they arrived everyone was talking about how there was a new Hokage as the third had stepped down as he said he was too old for this and wanted to retire. Hearing this Riku thought of asking the Third for help in water release as he was a master of all of the jutsu in Konohagakure.
