Another World?

When he woke up, he realized he was in a unfamiliar space, a empty void, was the best description he could give his surroundings, he could not feel the floor, but he was aware that he was standing still, but he felt like he was floating. Almost everything around him was a odd shade of black, it seemed to absorb any and all light, allowing only that void to exist. He was in some unknown space with only a single light source in front of him and nothing else, a space which he could only describe as a empty void. He as a atheist didn't believe in the after life or the existence of a god, but when after the last thing you remember is jumping off a building then waking up in a dark void completely free of injury's and unable to feel anything, he briefly thought he was in limbo, or something akin to that nature, but what caught his eye was the only light source in that dark place, a message or a floating text box that read "Hello congratulations! You have been selected as one of the lucky few to take part in The Games Of Godhood, to opt out please ignore this message for 30 minutes or select "Ignore", to take part please select your tutorial difficulty!"

[Ignore] [Easy] [Normal] [Hard] [Insane]

As his initial confusion and slight panic died down, he tried to analyze the situation. He concluded after thinking a while that either A. This is all real, which his reason immediately rejected, B. He is in a comatose/dream like situation where this is all in his head, or C. He has just gone completely insane. He thought either B or C is the obvious answer, but wanting to not believe that option C could be true, Alt started to back track and remember the situation prior to finding himself here. He had killed himself by jumping off of the abandoned building in front of his apartment complex, but before he killed himself he gave his cat to his cousin living about 2 hours away who had previously said she wanted a pet, since he was quite fond of the cat and didn't want it to starve after his death. After dropping off the cat he returned home after a 1 and a half hour bus ride and a quick shower, when he checked the time after he got out, it was around 7pm on a Friday which meant both of his parents were not at home until after 1 am, it was that same Friday which he started writing his will. Writing the will took about 4 hours which was longer than he originally believed it would take, at around 12:30am he went to the roof of the abandoned 7 story building across the street, climbed up the stairs to the roof and jumped off. He could completely retrace his steps as he killed himself and he should have succeeded, he did not do any drugs and didn't feel like he was dreaming, but what he found odd was he couldn't remember the reason he wanted to die in the first place, or the contents of his will. He was a 15 year old and had gone to high-school for a year now, it wasn't like he was being bullied or that he had any debt, both of his parents were healthy and lived with him, he wasn't sick in anyway if you ignore the fact that he was quite short and his twisted personality, which he hid quite well from everyone around him, he had never had a girlfriend but had a couple close friends. He couldn't understand why he had killed himself. As he recalled his daily life which mostly consisted of doing homework, studying a bit before test days then playing games, reading manga, or hanging out with his friends during his spare time. Although he wasn't that social or good at communicating he still had a couple good friends and a relatively normal life, he was thus, not particularly dissatisfied with his life nor did he have any major problems, but he had still choose to die, and he couldn't remember why even though everything else was pretty clear. Just then another message popped in his vision. "Warning you only have 5 min left to make a choice, please choose either to ignore or select a difficulty, otherwise you will be automatically forced to select ignore" which then promptly disappeared after he had finished reading it. He was curious and decided to ask out loud "What happens if I choose to ignore?" Then a new message promptly appeared as to answer his question "The continuation of your life as you last left it." He was confused what does it mean continuation would he just fall to his death, or would the continuation start from a earlier point in his life? He asked again "What does continuation mean?" A new message appeared again reading "Your physical body will cease to function." as he read the message a strange premonition stuck him, he somehow knew the message was telling the truth. As fear started to set in from the risk of death, he tried to calm down and rationalize the situation again, but as the time remaining was only 47 seconds he started to panic, he convinced himself that even if all of this was indeed fake just pressing a button shouldn't cause him any harm, as he rushed to press [Normal] he had in his panic accidentally pressed [Insane], as he quickly realized his mistake and tried to click on [Normal] the message screen promptly disappeared, and a electronic voice sounded in his head "Confirmed Difficulty Selection... Insane Was Selected...Alt Elohim Has Gained A New Title [A Fool Who Dove Into Insanity]...Creating Brand New Test World... Welcome Alt Frower, To Test Difficulty Insanity, Current Objective Defeat The Boss." Alt gulped as he felt as he had made a mistake, one which he might

regret deeply.
