A Flood of Bravery

After checking my surroundings for any clues or passageways, I started moving through the maze again. We've found the things that are trying to prevent us from completing this maze, but where are the things that will help us? Surely there are some sort of clues to make this "game" more fun - they must be hidden in plain sight.

Suddenly I had an idea. I quickly waved my hand and produced a shadow.

"Scan the maze," I said "Look for any sort of clues or something that could help us. Check up on the others as well and see if you can locate the other shadows."

My shadow flew off after receiving it's orders.

Shadows can also act as spies, as well as soldiers. If one is skilled enough in the magic, the user can also take a person's shadow and find out information in them, however this skill is very hard to master and not that well known. Shad's Shadows are probably recieving information on us via our shadows.

Until my shadow comes back I'm in the dark about what else this maze could hold. If I can find out where the shadows are I may be able to avoid them, although they may be the key to finding clues. I'll just have to wait and see.

--- Meanwhile with Oki ---

"Ok hell hound, I'm gonna beat you!" he shouted, while locking eyes with the beast in front of him. The shadow dog gave a deep growl as a reply, before charging towards him.

Oki jumped out the way, conjuring a water bow as he did.

Demonic magic allows the user to create weapons out of almost any element. It's one of the reasons it surpasses Angelic magic.

Oki backed up a little, before firing three arrows from his bow. The shadow was slow and all of them hit.

"Guys, the shadows will probably try and learn your attack pattern. I also have a feeling the more shadows we face, the harder they will become. I won't know for sure until my shadow comes back with info. Oki how are you holding up, have u fought the shadow yet?" Surina said, her voice echoing through the earpiece.

"I'm fighting it, but don't worry, I got this!" Oki replied confidently.

"So you're gonna try and learn my attacks?" He said, while staring at the shadow. "Well, I guess I'll just have to finish you quickly!"

Then, Oki rapidly produced a flood of water, hitting the monster head on. While, it was recovering from the hit, he ran in and sliced him with a water blade, destroying it completely.

"Well, that wasn't as scary as I first thought. That thing must have put me under some sort of spell, if I was able to defeat it without being scared! Surina thinks they're gonna get harder. Maybe they're like levels or stages, and if we defeat the strongest one we'll get a clue or even the key!" Oki said, slightly out of breath. He then headed off, ready to complete the maze.
