To Kill Me

Elder Tang, Tang Yian and Tang Bingyi moved into the Kang family home almost immediately.

Lu AnLing was a bit shocked when she learned that the Tang's were moving in but due to what she had told them before, Lu AnLing was a bit glad that they wanted to be around her during the last few months that she had left in T City.

Their days were spent pretty nicely and simply. The Tang's were great to be around and because there were now more people in the house, Lu AnLing and Elder Kang felt a weight lift off of their shoulders because there were others to take care of Kang Mei Xue and Kang Mingyu when they both felt tired.

Playing with the kids, Tang Yian smiled as the two ran around him.

Lu AnLing watched this scene with awe but suddenly, her father turned to her and spoke.

"Yuxi doesn't live with you?" Tang Yian asked a bit awkwardly.

Hearing this, Elder Tang looked at Lu AnLing. He had wanted to ask the same thing but he had stopped himself.

Lu AnLing shook her head. "She's very used to the Lu family home. Sometimes Yuxi stays over but we want to take this a bit slower for Yuxi's sake..."

Kang Jun, who had just finished working, had heard this conversation when he was coming into the living room and so, he said, "Yuxi knows she'll be living with us permanently someday."

Hearing this, Tang Yian nodded and then he was about to ask Kang Jun about why he and Lu AnLing had married so late despite already having children and why the two children had been split up but suddenly, Lu AnLing spoke.

"Jun... I totally forgot to tell you. Zeke is in town." Lu AnLing said. The girl knew that her father was curious about her and Kang Jun's circumstances but she didn't want to answer those questions as of yet. At least not until everything concerning their family was solved.

Kang Jun looked at his wife, and frowned. Despite Zeke doing a lot for Lu AnLing, Kang Jun didn't quite like a man being close and knowing his wife as well as Zeke did.

Kang Jun: "Why is he here?"

Thinking about how they spoke of atonement, Lu AnLing almost frowned but instead she shrugged and said, "I'm not sure... something about atonement..."

Kang Jun frowned slightly. He was going to question this but hearing this, Tang Bingyi who had been sitting quietly on the couch for a while suddenly looked towards Lu AnLing and changed her sitting position by leaning forwards.

Tang Bingyi: "Speaking of possible atonement, actually, I bumped into Yiling. She was with Luoyi. She told me that she wanted to speak to you in person."

Hearing this, Lu AnLing paused for a second.

"She has something she wants to say to me?" Lu AnLing said as if she already knew that Tang Yiling wanted to apologize to her. Then Lu AnLing shrugged and said, "tell her to come over whenever she isn't busy."

With that said, Tang Bingyi sent Tang Yiling a text.

***

Tang Yiling had not expected to get an answer from Lu AnLing so fast. In fact, she had a slight inkling that Lu AnLing would refuse to meet her altogether, however, right here, right now she was standing in front of the doors of the Kang Manor.

Tang Yiling felt as if her stomach had butterflies in it ever since she had decided to apologize to Lu AnLing. She felt scared and this fear made her feel disgusted in herself. This wasn't a normal reaction but it came from her core, which meant that she couldn't ignore it at all.

As the woman was lost thought, her face paled.

Seeing this, Tang Luoyi who stood beside her and partially wanted to run away didn't know what to say. In his mind, Tang Yiling was stupidly walking into the dragons den.

After a small while, Rong Lihua opened the door and then she led the two to the living room where the kids were playing with Tang Yian, Elder Tang and Elder Kang while Kang Jun allowed his wife to take a small nap on his shoulder and Tang Bingyi worked on her phone.

The scene was beautifully sweet and brought up a kind of fairytale aura but when Tang Yiling laid her eyes on them, her heart practically stopped. They truly felt like a big happy family to her. Just one which didn't need her in it...

At that moment, Tang Yiling doubted what she wanted to do, but before she had time to run, Rong Lihua went up to Lu AnLing and said,

"Young Madame, please wake up, your cousins are here."

Hearing this, Lu AnLing's eyes fluttered open and then she yawned slightly before she pushed herself up, with the help of Kang Jun.

The girl then walked over to Tang Yiling and Tang Luoyi who stood frozen and out of place before she said, "You had something you wanted to say, I heard?"

Hearing this, Tang Yiling gulped.

"I... I-I'm..." Tang Yiling started to speak.

For some reason, seeing Tang Yiling so scared and speechless, made Lu AnLing a bit happy but due to the fact that it was a bit mean, Lu AnLing nipped those feeling in the bud.

Meanwhile, Tang Yiling struggled to find the right words to say.

Tang Yiling did not want to make empty promises. By now, the whole Tang family had gotten the gist of her personality and there was no way that they would allow a dangerous person to come close to their precious granddaughter, Lu AnLing, especially not a fake like herself...

"I know... I was a bitch..." Tang Yiling started. "I was really jealous of you... I thought that it was because you had Kang Jun, but I don't even think I actually liked him.... actually, I felt like you had a perfect life. You had Kang Jun as a husband, you had friends, people remembered you... and then when I found out that my dad... wasn't really my dad... I..."

"Wanted to kill me?" Lu AnLing said simply.

Hearing this, Tang Yiling's eyes widened.

Tang Yiling: "N-no!"

Finally Back!
