Dinnertime and Storytime

--- Toran's House, Dining Room

Jay was currently seated in front of a long table while everyone in the house did their own thing for now.

Toran and Torvani were preparing some food for everyone. Karos was still at the living room and was doing some push ups. Teria and Tom were somewhere else in the house and were probably playing together.

"I wonder if I can still use my guild emblem?" Jay thought to himself and went to the mind room to test it out since he can't just take out his guild emblem here. That will just be the same as committing suicide.

...

Mind Room...

"Hey, is anyone hearing my message?" Jay immediately spoke through the guild emblem. Surprisingly, the one who replied to him was Izumi.

"Jay! There's an emergency situation over here at Greengarden! Where are you?!"

"It's a long story..." Before Jay could even continue, Roasted Boar suddenly spoke up.

"Jay, the construction of our kingdom is almost complete. As for the emergency situation, me and Hot Buns are currently heading towards Greengarden."

"Izumi, and everyone else... I might not be back for a while..." Jay said and tried his best not to cause panic before telling everyone of his current situation.

...

After a minute...

"WHAT?!!" A lot of voices came from the guild emblem, all of them shouting at Jay.

"I had no choice! Queen Auburn was about to die! I was about to die! Worse, everyone else might have died under this Shurym Demon named Toran!" Jay explained himself.

"Look, I know everyone wants to say or ask something, but I don't know how long I can continue this conversation since I am currently surrounded by who knows how many Shurym Demons. I will try everything I can to get out of this mess, and in the meantime, I want to ask help from you guys by reporting anything important that happens back there at the Fatelord Plane."

After saying this, Jay retracted his consciousness from the Mind Room and focused on the matter at hand. Dinnertime with the Shurym Demons.

...

Everyone was now seated around the long table. The plates were made out of clay and there were no spoons, knifes, or forks.

The meal that was served by Toran and Torvani was something called a 'Roasted Rockwyrm Snake.' It was just simply a roasted black, fat snake. As for the drinks, it was plain water.

Except for Jay, everyone started eating with their bare hands and clawed the snake meat to cut it into pieces. They stuffed their mouths with snake meat without a care in the world.

"Okay..." Jay was not sure why they even bothered using plates if this was how they were going to eat.

Not having any way out of this, Jay decided to try it out and grabbed a small portion of the roasted snake.

~Crunch, crunch...

"It's so crunchy... and tasteless..." Jay almost wanted to cry as he forced himself to eat the portion he grabbed. He did not want to spit it out obviously.

...

After dinnertime, everyone besides Jay, Torvan, and Torvani left the dining room.

"So, why don't you tell us about yourself first? I believe it is about time you explain it to me about you being some kind of foreigner in this world." Toran said as he picked his teeth with his claws.

"Bulls*it story time." Jay told himself and tried to put on a serious face before speaking.

"I am indeed a Foreigner in this world. It is not only me though, since there are thousands of us stuck at the Fatelord Plane. Among the thousands of us Foreigners, only a handful of us know about the planar war happening and the rest does not even know the tiniest bit of information.

But among all of us, only I have memories of our past world. Everyone else were brainwashed and thinks they are a part of your world."

Toran and Torvani showed enthusiasm on their faces as Jay spoke, as if they were kids listening to a children's story. Jay was a bit weirded out by these two but he still continued to speak.

"I don't know the name of the world we came from, but I remembered our world getting eaten by a white gigantic worm. I thought it was the end of us, but then, we suddenly ended up in your world. All of our memories were replaced with someone else's memory, as if we were somehow reincarnated.

We Foreigners are a bit crazy and thinks everything happening to us is just a game. A game filled with adventure. A game of life and death! We all compete against each other to see who can become the strongest. Some of us, like me, even goes even further and involves ourselves in things like the planar wars or world domination. But of course, I haven't heard if anyone became successful in their idealistic goals.

As for the reason why I became a Fatelord, I was just lucky." Jay finally ended his very long and fake story.

"I see... so that's how it is!" Toran said with an unknown expression while he was filled with thoughts.

"Are all Foreigners humans?" Torvani asked.

Jay nodded his head and waited for Toran or Torvani to say something else.

"Jay, after this, do you want to go back to the Fatelord Plane or stay here?" Toran immediately asked with a weird expression on his face.

"I kind of want to stay, but I still have a lot of unfinished business back at the Fatelord Plane."

"Then, do you have any questions regarding us Shurymites?" Torvani said.

"Shurymites? So that's what they are supposed to be called and not Shurym Demons..." Jay thought to himself before asking a lot of questions.

"Can you tell me everything that is supposed to be common knowledge here in the Shurym Plane? Like your culture, racial abilities, deities, and so on. And why do you guys have different skin colors? Is it related to your abilities perhaps? What about..." Jay kept asking question one after another, not even waiting for the two to answer him.

"Hahaha... calm down Jay. I'll tell you all you want to know." Toran said and whispered something to Torvani before she left the dining room.

...

When Jay and Toran was the only ones left in the dining room...

"The Shurym Plane used to be filled with oceans and seas. There was no islands or mountains. Everything was submerged deep into the waters. Underbelly City was once submerged in the water. The Shurym Plane never experienced seasons or weathers. The reason why we can still see and feel warmth before even without something like a sun to light up our plane was because of the divine artifact used by the War God Shurym.

But after a cataclysmic day called the 'Day of Abyss,' eight stars covered our skies and caused the oceans and seas to evaporate. We almost became extinct, almost got burnt to ashes by these eight stars. But our ancestors discovered a hidden place which became Underbelly City..." Before Toran could continue, Jay immediately asked something with a surprised expression on his face.

"Hold on... you guys used to live underwater?"

"Kind of. It was a pretty long time ago so most of our fins, scales, and gills are already gone. We used to be something that looked like what humans called a 'shark.' As for our tentacle-like hair or tails, it is just our equipment made out of Slimerock."

"WHAT?!!" Jay shouted within himself and gestured Toran to continue his story.

"So where was I...

When our ancestors discovered the city, there were only thousands of us left that survived the fiery hell the eight stars caused. I was one of these survivors. To ensure that our race will live on and not face the problem of extinction, the War God Shurym made a very difficult choice. He sacrificed himself and prayed to our three Divinities.

The Divine of Blood granted us the power to harness the power of blood magic.

The Divine of Fertility granted us weird things that let the women have around 4-5 children every time they gave birth.

The Divine of War granted us the curse of Bloodlust. Every time we fight our enemies, we have no choice but to be as cruel and brutal as possible. If not, then our blood will start burning hotter and hotter, until we are cooked from our insides.

Then after that, a thousand years of peace and tranquility ensured in the Shurym Plane. But sadly, peace is never a thing in this world or any world.

Those bastards ranked at the highest in the Great Millennia... to make sure they have some space to create their new planes for their pleasure and enjoyment, they force those who are ranked at the lowest to fight each other!

We have no choice Jay! If none of us takes part of this planar war, or Great Cleansing of these sick bastards, then they will kill us all! It is the survival of the fittest for us ranked at the bottom, you understand right?"

Jay's head was hurting due to the info dump from Toran.

"I should have only asked for important details..." Jay thought to himself as he continued to listen to Toran.
