Our Journey Together (Philippines – Manila)

Lee Shin arrived in Manila 2 days before Kiel Jungye. She left him in Hanoi to sell their motorbike first and will follow her in the Philippines after he settled all the stuff needed to be settled.

She checked in at Wanderer's Guesthouse in Malate which is just few rides away from the airport and also it is not far to different bus terminals that caters provincial routes.

The traffic in Manila is insane so she needs to be there early. Shin wake up early to go to the airport. 'today Jungye will arrive. OMG! I am so excited even it's just few days that we are away from each other. I already missed him a lot'

'Kiel Jungye's flight will arrive at 9:30am and it's just 8:45am. I still have time to relax or have some breakfast here at the coffee shop' She was thinking a lot of things while having breakfast at the coffee shop inside the airport. Shin is excited, nervous and her palms are getting sweaty from having different emotions while waiting.

…finally after quite sometime, Jungye's plane landed, done at the immigration and now walking towards the arrival area. NAIA 3 terminal was crowded but it will not be hard for Shin to look for him since he is taller compared to other people walking from the arrival area.

Shin saw him first and waved at him. Jungye was looking around looking for her and he saw her waving. He walked faster towards Shin and gave her a tight hugged and after few seconds he lifted her and gave her a long emotional kiss on the lips.

"I miss you!"

"I miss you too!"

"Did you eat already? The food here is expensive. The hostel that I checked in, they have a roof top restaurant if you want to eat there."

"I'm fine, we can go there now and rest for few hours then by afternoon, we can wander somewhere near the center of the city."

They walked hand in hand leaving the arrival area. They walked towards the bus bay and alighted at the street near the hostel.

After they arrived, Jungye quickly had a hot shower and laid down on the bed with Shin. He pulled her closer and they enjoyed hugging and kissing each other. It's just 2 days of being away from each other but it feels like it's longer than that.

Jungye:" So after lunch, where we can wander here?"

Shin: " We can go to Luneta Park and then walk to Intramuros. That's the place we can walk from here. Also they told me that we need to be careful and be weary wandering around this city. There are many pickpockets and snatchers. So we have to be careful whenever we need to bring our phone to take pictures"

Jungye: "Oh ok…same thing in Bui Vien St. I will just take my day bag for our bottled water and that's it."

Shin: "would you like to go now? It's not that sunny outside though it's hot. Still ok for walking around"

They left the hostel after lunch time and they walked towards Luneta Park and went to Intramuros after. They took photos of the city and jeepneys.

Luneta was crowded with tourists that day. There were several tourist buses arrived and students from another province are having excursions.

Jungye held Shin's hand all throughout their walk.

Shin:" I will not be lost. You can let go of my hand" She was laughing how protective Jungye was with her. There were jeepneys and different cars who are into rush and some don't mind the traffic rules.

Jungye: " I was just worried. You don't know how to properly cross the streets." Then he pinched her cheeks which is slighty flushed from the humid weather. When he saw that she was perspiring, he pulled out tissues and wiped her forehead.

Shin was touched on his sweet gestures, so she smiled and pulled Jungye's shoulder so she can give him a quick kiss on his lips.

Jungye: " you are… you are starting to initiate PDA's and not shy anymore to give me kisses wherever we are" and he laughed when he saw her blushed.

Shin: " it's just my simple way of saying thank you for your sweetness" she said defensively.

They watched the infamous sunset at Manila Bay. They went back to the hostel after sundown and had dinner at the roof top restaurant.

After dinner, they decided to have shower since it feels sticky walking around the city for the whole afternoon.

Shin was drying her hair in front of the electric fan when Jungye went out of the bathroom with just towel wrapped around his waist. He hugged Shin from behind and started to kiss her neck. Shin stiffened and not knowing what to do. She may be 29 soon but she never had any sexual experiences before. She had boyfriend when she was 21 but they never went beyond kissing and hugging.

Jungye kept on kissing Shin's nape. When he saw her drying her hair, he thought 'She's really beautiful and looks serene whenever she's busy doing something' So he walked towards her and hugged her from behind. Seeing that clear, smooth neck, he can't help himself but bend over and kiss it. He kissed her to her neck and at her earlobe. Then he felt Shin had goosebumps, her tiny hairs from her neck suddenly raised and he chuckled.

Jungye: " I will make it right..." then he gave her a quick kiss on her lips and went to wear his boxer shorts and laid down on bed.

Shin was puzzled what he meant by that. Whenever Jungye make such actions, he always stops before they go further. She followed him on the bed after combing her hair. Jungye stretched his arm so she can lay down and have it as her pillow.

Jungye: " So did you prepare an itinerary for our travel here in the Philippines?"

Shin: " Yup! since we are here in Luzon, we can go tomorrow to Batangas first, Tagaytay City, Taal Volcano and climbed up to Mt. Maculot"

Jungye listened to her and checked his mobile phone for details about the places she mentioned. "We can stay there for 2 days, if we like it then we can have one more day"

Shin:" we need to checkout early tomorrow. The bus travel is around 3 to 4 hours if there's traffic. If we reach by lunch time or after lunch, we can still wander around Tagaytay then next day, we can do trekking at Mt. Maculot"

Jungye: " you seem excited... The place looks good! want to see Taal Volcano"

They decided to sleep early that night so they can be prepared early by the next day.
