Date (3)

Mia was looking out the window while enjoying the view and relaxing trip. She knew the way and surrounding felt familiar but she could not put her finger on it. It has been a while since she went on an outing.

They went past the city proper and were now heading to the rural areas. She could not remember any tourist destination near this location.

Mia knew that for a first date, couples would usually spend it on amusement parks, movies, or eating out. Though it seemed they were in a rural area, the road was in good condition and well-maintained. She'd seen a couple of buses and cars heading in the same direction so there must be something that people would take the time to go to.

"We are almost there," William said while smiling.

Mia looked at the side and at the same time she looked, there was a bus filled with children. The bus had a tarpaulin at the side saying grade 3 students of North High Elementary School Educational Outing.

The children inside the bus had happy and excited smiles as they sang a song with their teacher. They were full of energy, some students even wave at their car before they passed them.

Mia finally remembered where they were heading as her eyes widened in surprise. It's been a while so she had forgotten this place. They only visited once, it was the same with the kids on the bus. It was an educational outing too.

She looked at William, she never thought that this was the date he would think of. She looked at him fondly while reminiscing about the first time they went here. They were also together and it was one of the best memories of her childhood.

The picture that they took together here was even framed on the wall in their living room. She wondered how she could have forgotten those memories. Mia was awakened from her thoughts when the car stopped and William parked in an open parking space.

Mia was staring at the signboard at the side welcoming the tourists and explaining the rules. With big bold letters, there was a sign saying "Welcome to Emerald Zoo".

This was the same place they went for a field trip, the facility looked bigger and there were some changes due to the times, but she remembered this place. She stepped out of the car with excitement. She felt like she was back to her childhood days.

William also stepped out of the car and noticed Mia's happy smile while gazing at the zoo. He took something out of the car before approaching Mia. A shadow approached Mia, as soon as she felt it, she looked up but something blocked her sight.

William looked at Mia with his eyes full of concern, he puts a sun hat on Mia, "It will become hot later on so you better have some kind of protection."

Mia held on to both sides of the sun hat to fix it and wondered when William prepared this or how he knew she would need a hat.

William went beside Mia and added with his charming smile, "Let's go."

Mia happily followed William inside the zoo while they fall in line to buy tickets to enter. She was looking around the facilities as some of the animals can be seen from the outside. One thing caught her attention, "Petting Zoo."

There are some animals that they can feed and pet once inside which made Mia excited. She remembered seeing lots of rabbits when they went there on their field trip. There was a specific area for petting rabbits, they were so cute and fluffy that she remembered she did not want to leave the place even though it was already time to go home. She giggled at herself while remembering.

William looked at Mia when he heard her giggle. He felt delighted that Mia liked the place he brought her.

...

While two people were enjoying themselves, there was one person sitting on a chair while swiping left and right with her finger on the phone.

It was almost lunchtime when she looked at the time. She wondered what those two were doing at this hour.

Stephanie continued to swipe left and right on his brother's phone while playing a game. She was getting bored while waiting but she knew something interesting will soon happen, and she was not disappointed as she heard the ringtone that she specifically changed it to one person.

Stephanie smirked while holding the phone, typical is what she thought. Looking at the name of the person who was calling William, she could not help herself from giving an evil smile. She used her finger to swipe yes, she put the receiver on her ear and did not let the other person speak, "Chu-chu's Chinese restaurant. What's your order?" She tried her best not to laugh and act seriously while waiting for the other person on the line to speak.

Not long after the other person spoke and said, "Wrong number." Once Stephanie was sure that the person was off the line. She started laughing.
