2 days later, Kazuma's party are eating lunch, preparing for their next quest after recovering from the accident that happened two days earlier, luckily it was not that traumatic.

Kazuma is looking at his adventurer card and wonders what skills are the most useful right now. Steal is one thing, he'll have to wait later until Darkness returns to the table.

"Hey, uh Aqua." Aqua turns to Kazuma. "Have you seen Megumin anywhere? She just wandered off after I asked her to get the menu for us." Aqua shrugs. "I don't know." She replied. "You should've just stood your lazy ass up and got the menu yourself, and now we don't know where your 'victim' is."

Kazuma rolls his eyes as he keeps his eyes on his card still.

Darkness returns in a minute's notice.

"Kazuma, I've returned. Sorry for the late re-entry, I've run into a friend of mine, and I thought maybe you two would have something in common. Like… Thievery?"

Kazuma perks his head up as he turns to Darkness and to what seems to be Chris.

"Eris…" He thinks to himself. Before he shakes his head mentally before facing her.

"Hey there, friend of Darkness. Name's Kazuma. You probably know me since eh- you know."

"Yup. The name's Chris. Thief to Thief, ey?"

"Hahaha…" Kazuma laughs nervously. Shit, she really does know who he is.

"Is that your adventurer card you have right there?" Chris points to Kazuma's card that he's holding which he nods.

Chris takes a quick look at it before she backs off and crosses her arms.

"I see you're lacking skills that a thief requires, if you managed to get this far, I'm really impressed. And don't worry about me snitching on ya, you should worry about your team snitching on you."

"Ha." Kazuma gives Aqua a dead stare. "I don't think they would do that. They wouldn't."

…

Kazuma looks back at Chris.

"Anyways, thanks. About the 'lacking skills' thing, wdym by that?"

"I'll show ya, if you get me a drink of course."

Not even a minute, Kazuma already has a mug filled with beer.

He's really prepared for this.

…

After a few minutes, Chris and Kazuma agreed to meet later once the team had their needs to fulfill their hunger.

It was going fine at first, but something just, well, happened.

Darkness picked a seat, and accidentally destroyed it. It was only half, so the other half could still be seated on. But that leads to Megumin, with no seat. They could just change tables, but the place quickly filled in, which now, there are no available tables to switch to.

And no seats… Other than…

Megumin blushes as she tries not to think about it, although she does want to eat… and Kazuma isn't doing anything. It should be fine… right?

Aqua sighs as she looks at the situation. "Just how long will this pedo neet keep his malicious intent to that girl? I almost feel bad, but if Kazuma's paying the bills right now, where am I placed to complain about luxury?" She thinks.

Darkness is just looking at Megumin sitting on Kazuma's lap, it looks really romantic really.

"God damn it, this card is really giving me headaches." Kazuma says as he try to count the points to skills, calculating, adding things up to make things equally so he doesn't mess things up.

Megumin notices this as she slightly turns around to see Kazuma looking confused.

"K-Kazuma… I-I saw you were looking at your adventurers card for a good minute now and mumbling something about skills… I'm guessing you don't know how it works. Would you like to hear how it works?"

Kazuma already knows how it works. He's just managing, but hey, it's not bad to be babied by Megumin once in a while.

Sure, Megumin. Please explain.

She nods as she faces the table to eat a single carrot before speaking.

"Spells here are complicated, but I'm sure you would be able to understand. First you need to look for a good spell or the spell you're interested in. It's better if a person knows it. They'll teach you that spell and the spell will appear on your card and once you spend some points on it, you'll be able to use it."

That's the function alright, Kazuma can't help but smile a little about Megumin's smarts.

It's a thing every beginner should know, but hey, lolicons being lectured by a loli is a different feeling.

"You know." Kazuma starts to say. "I wanna learn an explosion spell from you, Megumin.I am not putting all my points on it though…"

Despite this Megumin's eyes widen and sparkle in light as she turns around to face Kazuma, too closely…

They're touching noses now. Kazuma thinks he just pre-came just now…

"Yes! You got it! Actually, I don't mind teaching you explosion spells!"

"I mean are there other skills other than explosion spells?"

"Uh yes."

Megumin waves her finger.

"No no indeed! There will be only one spell in the world that exists, and that is explosions!"

"Oh god! Megumin is way too close! We can almost kiss! But some people might be watching, I'll be brand- wait a minute, that's the old line. I can do whatever the fuck I want!" Kazuma thought to himself as he smiles nervously and scratches his head.

"Y-yeah… I'll come to you someday about it again Megumin, but can you like… give me space?" Kazuma says.

"Her knee just touched my dick." Kazuma thinks to himself. "I just came. I hope she doesn't notice."
