[DC] Keep your head down!

It was an innocent survey on Heylel's phone. It asked 'Would you like to make a character to reincarnate into DC?' And he replied with an innocent answer, 'I would not.' Well, whoever made that survey did not seem to like that, which brought him—now her—here, a gun in hand staring down at an angry Batman, as she kicked away the body of Joker's girlfriend who was at the moment very dead. He was glaring at her. She cowered but still spat out, "It was self-defence." [Sociopathic MC] [Cover's mine] [With recent reviews I think I need to clarify something, this is not an OP/cheat fic. The MC is a child and it will take time for her to get stronger or to make any impact whatsoever(would you listen to a child?)]

Big Brother

"So we are bringing this man down? This ruby?" Red asked as they both sat in the Bat-wing, Batman the pilot and Red the co.

"No," Batman replied, "We wait for Gordon."

"Seriously?" Red asked as they cut through the clouds at a breakneck pace all the while violating multiple aero-space regulations.

"Either he builds a legitimate warrant or we go in," He replied letting the moonlight glint off the speak dark surface of the bat–wing.

"Then what about more victims till then?"

"Oracle and Damian will keep an eye on any movements," He said, Red wanted to ask why? Why not just burst down the door and rip Ruby out of his hole? But he bit back his question. There was probably a reason and he was not getting it. Maybe Barbara did, he would ask later.

[A/N: To all my Tim fans out there, this isn't cannon Tim, and in this fic, he is a much different character. For example, he doesn't have genius intellect here.]

"Oracle?" Bruce asked over the comes.

"Yeah, got it. I will ask Jason to patrol tonight, Ruby—we'll watch."

———

"Jason, this is Barbara," Jason pushed his way out of the nightclub as he pressed the receive switch on his flip phone.

"Yeah?" His voice was rough, the drinks had taken their toll, "Barbara?"

The noise from the inside was blaring over the comes and listening to it Barbara sighed, "Jason, where are you?"

"Wild Animal, why?" He tied to walk it off as he made his way into his car.

"Drunk?"

"A little," He lied as he threw himself into the driver's wheel and rested his exhausted self on the seat cushions.

"...Come back to the mansion, take a taxi."

"Oh please, I can drive just fine. I only took a little," He replied, as he fumbled his keys out of his pocket, dropping them along the way.

"No! If I see you come up in anything but a taxi, say goodbye to your license. And I will have you barred from any club in this city," She threatened, and seeing the fallen keys–maybe it wasn't a bad idea to take a taxi.

"Fine."

"And stick to the main roads."

"Oh please, what will thugs do to me?"

"Not much. But a gun? A lot. The new vests may be good but they are not going to stop bullets for long."

"Fine! Fine," He shook his head, "Taxi it is."

"What a fool," Damian's words were cold, Heylel could feel the chill run up her skin, morphing her expression into one of apprehension, she said, "What happened?"

"Jason—" He paused, not sure how he would be related to her, "Your uncle? No, elder brother is an idiot," He said but Heylel kept her eyes on him as if making him what he meant, so he said, "Barbra just texted me, he is drunk."

Heylel almost facepalmed herself, "People get drunk all the time, my father, I don't remember a single night where he didn't get drunk."

Damian looked at her, "That's a healthy environment to grow up in," his tone lost all of its frost, and snark was returning to it.

"You say that having gifted me a rapier?" His eyes blinked, this girl just returned sass, wasn't this same girl talking about murder the first time they met?

"You know you might be bipolar?" He said to her.

"Why?" She looked at him with a tilted head, which he had to admit was cute.

"The first time we met you talked about murder, and now look at you, all cheerful."

"Well, I can not always be thinking about killing him," Her words were calm as she continued, "When I first ran away, it was all I could think about. But you know, I had to change and adapt, otherwise, the streets would have eaten me up. It's funny how for many months—I didn't even think about them. I was happy."

"You were?"

"Yeah, I had almost let go—you know my mom and dad used to tell me if you are rich, you can do anything, so did the strippers. And when I saw the richest person in the world—I think I remembered a lot and I wanted to ask him for help, well I fumbled the request," She lied through her teeth.

Damian looked at the little girl, he could see what Bruce saw in her, so he decided to correct her on one thing, "It's not the money, it's the power which it can buy. Do not confuse the two. They are not the same. Tell me how did a request for help turn into an adoption?"

"He asked if we needed anything. So I wanted to ask him, but I realized why would he help me. He didn't have any reason to. So I said nothing and then one thing lead to another to me...crying—and getting here."

Damian smiled at the girl, he has seen humans being driven to desperation—facing obstacles too big to overcome, pressure cracking them. But here she is, a child that would not be out of place with a doll, that had not broken yet.

"Don't worry you will get revenge. I will make sure of it," Though the killing part might not be achieved, he didn't say the last part.

"You think killing is okay?"

"I never said that you know?"

"But said you'd make sure of it," She had the tiniest hint of a smile and he could see she didn't mean much when she asked him the question.

"Revenge, it changes, morphs transforms. What you think you desire. It may not be three years down the line, maybe you would just want to see his folly. Maybe you want to see him at least say sorry and confess his crimes."

"And you will try to make me want that?"

"Yeah," He said as his hand patted her head, "But I promise you. If you want him dead when you meet him, I will support you wholeheartedly."

"Really?" She asked, her large red eyes looking into his head.

"That's what big brothers do, right? Help their sisters," He smiled at her.

That was stupid and dumb, idiotic, what kind of moron would go against his father, who is literally Batman and break his rule of no killing to help a person who was a stranger a day ago. But somehow she knew he was sincere. And that made her want to laugh, it made her want to laugh hysterically, 'That's what big brothers do, right?' So cheesy, so stupidly cheesy.

"Right! Right big brother! I will keep you to it."

[A/N: Sorry I didn't get time to write yesterday, I was so dead tired too. So anyway, here it is a new chapter. Also, how do you guys like this chapter? As I said, I am going to give each member of the bat family a different feel, different personalities and so on.

This is my attempt at Jason Tod and Damian Wayne. Damian will show strong influences from the league of shadows. And this is an attempt to flesh them out today.

Also, while it might not seem like it at times, remember this is dark fanfic, that has a Gotham heavily inspired by the Arkham Games. And do remember Heylel/Mira is a villain. She is also a sociopath as mentioned in the title. She lies every day, always. And you might be thinking that I am letting the bat family behave like fools by not letting them see through her. Remember she is a tiny f*cking girl, you don't think lier. Make no mistake, she slips decently enough and she will be caught instantly.

Also, the Decay Bloom power is going strong in the votes and so is the hive queen power. And to that guy who asked, no I haven't read "Her Majesty's Swarm," but I have played every Starcraft Game, a lot of Tyranids in Dawn of War UA.]
