"System, I Don't Want to Have Babies!"

After robbing a bank, John and Tom were running away in their Ford Mustang while the cops were chasing them.

"Tom, drive faster!" John yelled, in panic. "The cops are catching up to us!"

"I'm already at max speed!" With a tight hold on the steering wheel and he pushed to the car's limits, 

Tom yelled back. On the next corner, though, a truck appeared out of nowhere from the right side. 

Tom's heartbeat skipped, when he tried to apply brakes with his foot, but nothing occurred."Oh no, the brakes failed!" Tom shouted, his face turning pale. 

He desperately tried to control the steering, but it was too late. With a boom sound, the Mustang lost control and crashed into the truck.

The impact was terrifying. The car broke on impact, and pieces of glass shattered from the windshield and went inside Tom and John as they were thrown forward. Both men died instantly.

The truck driver, horrified and worried, got out and saw the police arrived so quickly, becoming even more worried. 

When the police informed him that the men in the car were fleeing after Robbing a bank, hearing this the truck driver was relieved.

The truck driver understood, and together they attempted to pull the men out of the broken car, but it was too late; 

Tom and John's bodies were covered in blood, and the image was terrifying. When the ambulance finally came, it was declared that both men had passed away.

Social media users took to sharing their story, which showed that the two men tried to rob a bank, but died when their car's brakes failed.

People made jokes on social media about how they hadn't even bothered to fix their car before attempting to rob the bank.

But, one of the men, named John, opened his eyes and found himself in complete darkness. Time seemed to pass slowly as he was there, alone and unable to move. 

He had a hard time knowing where he was or why he couldn't move. He attempted to get out of this place,but it was unsuccessful. Eventually, he gave up and accepted his fate.

"Where am I? Is this what death feels like?" John thought in frustration. "Those stupid religions talk about the afterlife, but this ain't afterlife; actually, this is no life, only nothing... it feels like being trapped somewhere."

Days turned into weeks, and the darkness continued. John was bored to death. He wanted to go out and kill Tom because Tom had caused the accident and now John had to suffer.

Months passed with no concept of time. John did only one thing: cursing Tom and regretting his past actions.

But one day, a small light appeared in the darkness. John knew that this was his only chance to get out! He struggled towards it with all his strength; it felt as though this dark place itself was pushing him out too.

In the busy capital city of Longshao Kingdom, a woman named Li Mei was in labor. Her long, white hair stuck to her forehead with sweat, and her usually delicate face was in pain. The midwife, an older woman with a kind face, kept saying, "Lady Mei, keep pushing!"

With lots of effort, the baby finally came out.

John said, "Finally, I came out." The light shines brightly in his eyes, so he closed them. As he slowly opened them again, he found himself staring into the face of an old woman. John was confused, wondering if this was a hospital, but suddenly, a pain came from his ass. He couldn't hold back, and tears started to flow from his eyes.

The midwife had put her fingers in his asshole, as was done in ancient times, to check if the baby was alive.

"What are you doing, lady? It hurts! Waaaaa! Waaaaa! Waaaaa!"

The midwife said tiredly, "It seems like the baby is alive and healthy." She saw the mother had collapsed from exhaustion, so she calmed the baby down and took him outside.

John calmed down and looked at his surroundings. He was confused and realized he had actually turned into a baby! It seemed like he was in ancient times, but the clothes and furniture didn't look European; they looked Japanese or Chinese...

John wondered, "Did God forget to remove my memory? Looks like I'm still lucky. This time, I'm going to use my modern brain to rise, but what can I do? I've only studied till 9th grade. I'll think about it in the future; I must understand the situation first."

The midwife took the baby outside, and a man named Zhang Wei was waiting.

The midwife said, "Mr. Zhang, the baby is healthy, and the lady is fine too."

Zhang Wei sighed in relief. He had recently married a woman from a Qi refining family, and because of this, his silk trading business in the city was going smoothly.

He was just a mortal with a family business in the capital, but having a background tied to cultivators meant almost no one could harm him there.

His father used to work in finance for the Li family and often brought him along to play with the cultivator's daughter. Due to this, both of them became childhood sweethearts.

Since his wife was also a mortal, they asked her father for permission to marry. Her father agreed, as he and Zhang Wei's father had known each other for a long time, and he didn't mind much since his daughter, being a mortal, had no hope of cultivation.

His father-in-law also had many wives and children, so he didn't care much about whom they married. Some of his sons and daughters had already joined the sect, so he was less concerned about the others.

His father has also retired and is living a comfortable life.

There were only a couple of Qi refining cultivators living in the capital city. Even the king was a mortal, and the entire Longshao Kingdom was under the rule of the Jade Serpent Sect. Most of the Qi refining cultivators who lived here had given up hope of advancing further and had established their families in this mortal kingdom with the hope that future generations might rise.

Not just any cultivator could live in the mortal kingdom; most had some connection with the Jade Serpent Sect. After all, the sect wanted to maintain proper order and regularly recruited future disciples from this kingdom.

"So, is it a girl or a boy?" he said, looking lovingly at his baby. In response, the midwife said, "Sir, it's a girl."

The man took the baby in his hands, nodded, and said, "From now on, her name will be Zhang Lian." He and his wife had already decided on the name for both situations.
