This a story that begins and ends with farewell.
A man whose future is uncertain,suffers in family trauma and money problems.A writer who haven't win a single award from any writing competition and thinks that his stories was not appreciated.
Because of that pathetic situation,Satoru Harakiri,a third year highschool student and an aspiring mystery author,decided to end his life by jumping off the roof,thinking that he is as good as dead,just like the victims in murder mysteries stories.
But she was suddenly stopped by her classmate Haruka Mishitsu,who came to him to do a favor for her.
"You're a mystery author right?."
"Uhmm,yeah.But how di-"
"Could you solve this murder case for me?."
Unlike Harakiri,Haruka Mishitsu is a beautiful young lady who was raised from a rich and caring family.She was known for its talent of sketching amazing drawings,which makes her to become popular around the school.Her artworks won so many awards and was appreciated not only in Japan,but also in international competitions.
And her request has something to do with the death of her older sister Hina,who was murdered four months ago.The murder case ended as suicide,which is something she was not convince of.She believes that her sister was killed by someone and she wants Harakiri to find out that unknown person.
At first,he thinks it was impossible.He was not a detective and the clues was already gone.He just writes murder mystery stories but solving the real thing is a different matter.What's more,he will not gain anything from it.But Mishitsu was so persistent and said so many benefits on helping her,including being her girlfriend or sex friend.At the end,she accepted her request,not because of those benefits,but because of her desperate face she showed to him.
This is a story about an aspiring author and talented artist.
And a story that begins and ends with farewell.
