I don't know about translation quality or updating stability yet but I do know this story well because I absolutely am in love with it. It's by the same author who wrote Full Marks Hidden Marriage and if you're looking for another rebirth novel with a female protagonist, this is essentially what you're looking for. While the beginning does make the male protagonist seem rapey and gross, he's actually just very passive. Even until chapters 400-500, he's still very passive but the story does get better and the female protagonist is everything I love. There's lots of retribution and face-smacking moments that makes it very enjoyable. This novel is still currently and actively being translated by another site and I don't know why Qidian took it up but I won't judge the source but rather the content that's being put up and the speed it's coming out at. That's about all I wanted to say to future and current readers lmao

Just added this to my library, but won't be reading this until they reach chapter 500 or further. I would be so happy if QI changed the cover though. The cover is such a mismatch with the storyline and characters. Even the old one that was on NU was better. I hope they change the cover lol XD it really bothers me

Yes there is LOL they're pretty much a given for these types of novels. Though I would say there's less depending on the arc.

yeah that's the thing. It's used so often it's accepted and we just take it as "oh how novel". Face slapping is cool, but having to read through pages upon pages of slurs just to get to the face slapping is not cool. Like, every single villain is the same in those types of novels, they always say the same things, with the only difference being different names. Like, can't there be a more intelligent way of degrading??? At least this novel manages to cut out the use of that word. So far, I've only read it once :)

ILoveToEat:Yeah right! The heroine's features and character doesn't really match with the cover, unless she cuts her hair short in the next chapters.
I like all of the romance stuff on QI except for nations husband, never quite got into it because of the rapey vibes. Also anything on volare with female protagonists
