this novel fails in one crucial core detail that many make this mistake is that they fail to give this novels like these the illusion of free will to the characters. what I mean by this is that in novels it is important to make the characters choices seem their own despite the fact that they are characters written. it not only breaks immersion when this is done but also makes the novels progression more and more forced as it goes on. eventually authors get to the point where they are out of ideas and either do 3 things but on hiatus, force progression in novel through ways that make no sense at all or they just leave the novel and maybe update once in a year to tell if they are quitting the novel or postponing it indefinitely while they work on other novels the reason for the ratings on background and story development is because it is both early yet at the same time next to no proper descriptions of the world or the characters or proper development but I am just attributing that to the story just getting started
