Actually, you're right, I only read about 20 chapters. You can give spoilers to see if I'm wrong and it's worth it.

it is good I guess I mean the story has changed I don't know how to give u spoilers well let me try like luffy is influenced in his decisions by the guy and also the dangers they face have doubled or tripled to the Mc,story is good. He joins Luffy because he does not like marine and WG, and also the danger faced by revolutionary people is a bit too much for him and he wants someone like a family and friend that is the reason he instantly joins luffy

Truth be told, there aren't any major changes in the story. The Straw Hats are still sailing the seas as they do in the anime, but there are some differences. Usopp uses guns instead of his usual weapon, and there is a new crewmate besides Bai Ye. Also, most events have been changed slightly in one way or another, and the Chinese character traits are not very prominent. Around chapter 95, there's a very cool fight scene. However, this novel isn't for everyone; maybe you are one of them.
