The story started off good but now it's going down the drain... The main character insists on giving his games away for free for no reason other than plot! Like why is he making his games free? The only reason he is doing so is to please others for no reason... It's not like the people who play the games can't afford it! He already made a point that F-rank players make at least $100 per mission and higher ranks make even more. If the game is drastically improving their skills and pushing them to E-rank (which earn $1000 per mission) and higher, then what is spending $20 or even $50 on the game? It is absolutely nothing to them! Even most ordinary people could afford it, but since the author is desperate to keep the MC poor, he will apparently keep his games free... Like an idi0t! If he sold it for $50, he would have $50,000 with just 1000 downloads. With the near 10,000 downloads he had rn (at chapter 25), he would have $500,000!!! Even if he sold the game for $10, he would have around $100,000! And that is only for ONE SMALL TOWN which he is currently in! But noooo, he wants to give his games away for free despite using the pseudonym EA for his games! And because he is so poor, he is happy for receiving a small amount of money for the rights to make Resident Evil into a move/TV show! Those $40,000 are nothing compared to the millions he could make if he made and sold the movie himself!! He literally made a trailer for the game in like a single day! What is stopping him from creating his own movies or TV series and marketing them himself on his account?!?!? Again, this is all due to the author purposely trying to make him poor so he can't afford any luxuries at all and have to rely on others to get him things that he would have been able to afford himself!!

I don't know why you are saying games, he has made one game Residual Devil(As of Ch27), and this game is required by the college to be free. It has also been said that MC plans to sell the game for $20 when it's finished and the competition is over. So you where obviously not paying attention, or maybe you are knowingly ignoring these facts(I can cite the chapters for you if you want). Also you've made many baseless assumptions. For example: "the author want's to keep the MC poor." Or "The main character insists on giving his games away for free for no reason other than plot!" How exactly do you know these things? I mean its obvious you haven't been paying attention to the story.

I feel this rant started off logical but then quickly went downhill lol

I'm not exactly sure, but I'm pretty sure that it was not mandatory to be free, but it was recommended to be free so more people can download it, so they would rank higher.

Let's assume, for argument's sake, that you are right; it's not required by the college for the game to be free. Even in this situation, it wouldn't make sense for you to sell the game for money. Think about how you would win the competition; the game with the highest amount of downloads wins. So the only way to be competitive in the competition is to sell your game for free. Also, wouldn't it be pretty scummy if MC sold his game for 20 dollars, while every other competitor sold theirs for free?
