Honestly the story is well written in comparison to many others out there but the Author should really work on his depiction of the main character's character as well as habits and train of thoughts. The way he handles issues is off-putting to say the least. His thought process is irrational and dumb and he tends to make seemingly "smart" choices but in depth investigation shows that his choices are actually rather stupid and don't seem progressive. He takes constant loses in dealings and is honestly a character without an ounce of spleen. He can be said to be somewhat of a sycophant and this is till chapter 70 as thats where I reached before nearly puking blood from the frustratiion the mc is causing me. Other than the main character I have loved everything about the novel so far. I highly appreciate the author and would like to encourage him to keep putting out chapters but to also work on this mc's character cause it really prevents people from reading the book when his character is this off putting in the beginning.

MÖGENthank you for the review, i receive many of the same comment. but I must repeat that it is a weak to strong story. MC is a 15 years naive boy at the first and this is the story of his growth to become the earth greatest magus. really appreciate the comment and review, I do hope you would read pass chapter 100 to see more of the character progress thank you.
i don't think "MC is a 15 years naive boy" is a justified enough reason to all of his decision or action in the early story. because for the decision the protagonist is make is not the decision of a 15 years naive boy make but instead it's more of forced plot driven decision that only nonhuman make, i mean it's make me wonder how exactly a 15 year old that supposed to be naive feel the need somehow to impress anyone in academy or desire to show to anyone that he is someone who is special after his father freaking die. HOW?, HOW is that possible to be happen? i understand if he feels hate so he want revenge, or fear that he want to run away if ever happen he meet again with his father killer, or he feels empty and distraught that he become depress and careless of what happen in the world around him. if those 3 that he did after his father died, i will understand, but somehow to choose to shown everyone that he is special too? no man, i am sorry there is no exist any boy do that except might you mean the mentally chalenged one or something which is shown no indication for it to be there in the story.

To me, some of Emry's actions are justified. The reason is that the mind-blowing situation he found himself in after he was transported into the Magus world is too Mind-Blowing and that dampens the sadness he was in. And it's not like he did not ruminate on what happens to his father, but being in the Magus World gives him hope to attain strength in averaging his father.

i understand if that was the motivation for the protagonist for doing some of this action in the story or at least the story till the last chapter that i read. i mean being mind blown, amazed, stunned at the sudden situation that he is in and in the end decided to just follow the flow of the situation. if that was all the motivation is to justified some of his action is in the story, i will buy it and believe the narrative that the boy is in fact naive. but what make it deal breaker for me so much that it break the immersion to the story and in the end make me lost interest to the story is the other motivation of his action, which is the desire to impress everybody in there, desire to show or prove that he is someone who is special not someone ordinary. that's my main problem more than anything, and the part of the story that doesn't make any sense and not justifying the boy action at all considering the situation where he lost his father not long before. and that nonsense can't be justified enough at least for me to buy it to just blame it to naivety of the boy or the mindblowness the boy have of the magus world.

the problem isn't he being too weak, too naive or too young, the problem is how frustating the MC is. and NO, your justification about him being a 15 year old boy isn't the cause of it, i've read MC that is weaker, younger, and possibly more naive than your MC but they aren't frustating to read What make your MC so frustating is that most of the time his action is so forced, possibly the most forced i've read in this site, some may feel they are completely natural, but no, what make it so frustating is that some time the MC action is meant to torture him, I DON'T KNOW WHY , but i blame the author for this one, his action came in the worst possible reaction sometimes and if it just one or two time then it's fine, but that happen way too often, so often it become the MC trait and i've read your other novel comment section saying the same " the MC makes it hard to read this " thing, so maybe it isn't the MC trait but the author trait lol i really get the impression that the author is doing that on purpose , so that the MC can have a character development, but character development doesn't have to feel so frustating and forced, if it does, than it's just bad writing, because Honestly your other ( teenage ) side characters in this novel develop just fine, and i dont feel even a tiny bit of frustation reading them, and that tells a lot sorry for my poor english
