So, I tried to read this one. I enjoy the concept behind it I just wish the MC got a spine. There also seems to be several holes in the story, mainly around the childhood friend. Several things happened that looked like it would fix what is missing. Then it was dropped, and everything went back to the way it was. I truly wanted to like this one, I do hope that this author or someone else picks up this idea and makes a story with a less passive MC. I do get that the writer was attempting to make him a real teen that needed to grow into his role. However, the development is just too slow. It seemed every time he would start to develop something would happen and it was back to square one.

MÖGENYes agreed. I added my own review on how passive the MC is. I only made it 140 chapters in and this MC couldn’t even express his own feelings for fear of offending people. He likes how disrespectful Yangzi is and doesn’t care about clearing up confusion with other people until it blows up and we have to read how he stammers his way through lying to people……
