bottom... OF THE CLIFF.
I really wanted to have this conversation with you, I was hoping you'd give an insight into your thought process. Yet you've taken to making disparaging insinuations and crass assumptions before we've even begun discourse. The funny thing is that when I ask you questions on discord, you always take the time to answer them. You never insult or belittle me there. Why are you doing it here?
I don't think you thought through one of your previous statements in your Author's notes, about the corruption being inevitable, deeply enough. You then went on to describe how Jake and company will eventually succumb to it. These statements conflict with the purpose behind writing a novel in the first place. A continuation of this line of thought being that by you saying that something is "inevitable" you are changing the story from an "if" to a "when". It says that you have already decided what will happen and that you are closed off to any other avenue's of plot. This is an unacceptable mindset for an author, any author, for that matter. Writing is about freedom, many authors believe that the perfect story will write itself, but that freedom is being cast aside with your previous statements. Another thing I want to call attention to is how 'similar' these parasitic insects are to digestors. You've written Jakes internal monologue to go over this line of thought multiple times thus far so that also brings to question exactly what the purpose of the novel is in the first place. If this corruption is 'inevitable' and these parasites are so incredibly similar to the digestors, doesn't that also mean that the eventual destruction of the Oracle as a whole and the ultimate victory of the digestors is also 'inevitable'? Where is the story in that? Ark, I ask you, would you want to read a story about a hero's failure? Preconceived notions aside, let's look at it from a different perspective. Do you think the Harry Potter books would have been as successful as they were had Voldemort been the ultimate victor? What about something more recent, say Avenger's Endgame? People will read a story about a hero failing. But they will make movies about one succeeding.
she bouta find out those extra mental stats gonna make her one smart and also tough cookie. best choice EvAR
Also should've flown back in a direction away from his own village. Gotta sell it fully.
should've flown away, always gotta make a statement of power to these people, i know it hastens the corruption but if they try and fight you in a protracted battle later, that is much more detrimental. also REVENGE FOR LILLY!
to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if silverlight is inside the zombie. that'd be kinda interesting.
doesn't seem like a very smart thing to do, going deep into meditation next to an undead zombie that has already once before disobeyed your orders. lets not even mention the fact that it started getting all this weird screen time during the abansor arc in that little town with the small child.
This chapter makes me want to punch a certain writer in the face.
someone should make a post about it!
