He only cares about football so I’m not even sure why he has a girlfriend. I’ve always been put off by MC’s who get a second chance at life and don’t live it. Focus on your career, yes. Engaging in meaningful relationships with friends, family, and others will not detract from your goals but help you.

It’s a great story so far. It’s nice seeing unique devil fruits other than the lightning fruit. Also, I love the main characters!
