People don't like to see a mc being mentally weak. It goes with the phrase "men don't cry", i disaggre with this on a personal level, you can cry alone if you want...but this is a fanfic people can see the MC all the time + the mc is crying because he/author fucked someting.

Feels like a cheap way of making a problem for mc. The story just begin and the mc already have a mental disadvantage and it could possibly go horribly wrong.

OC parents are tricky, they are two kind of parents in fanfiction, 1 first kind the ones who order the MC which is normal for them to do, they are parents after all, but this is a fanfic, people don't like to see the MC restrained in any way, for the readers this kind of parents became annoying and there is the possibility of damage the MC's potential as he grows up in power in his journey (this is a example), 2 second kind of parents are the one who have barely any relevance lol, they are normally in home or working, for me this one are not worth writting in the first place, that's why I personally think that a good MC OC needs to be an orphan, but it all depends on the author's writing ability so meh, get creative but be carefull.

Its okay if you MC is a OC (90% of the fics here do that after all) too much will be 3, worse when you introduce those characters at the start of the history, its more natural and less worse if you introduce them later, i absolute despise OC antagonist/enemies, feel like the author is pulling a new problem out of nowhere, my recommendation is no making OC characters beside the MC.
