They can communicate in real time tho. Didn’t it happen w velgrynd vs Rimuru? She chose to focus on the fight w Rimuru that’s why her body next to rudra wasn’t moving and the empires generals had to fight rimurus subordinates. Velgrynd wanted them to buy her time so she could focus on Rimuru first

It’s because the eye didn’t belong to him if it was Obito using it the strain wouldn’t be that bad, it might drain more ocular power than other mangekyo techniques but it’d still be manageable
