This is refreshing. It's not everyday you meet a protagonist that does the sensible thing of running away from trouble. The plot picks up right in the prologue so it's easy to know the conflict will be great

The way the story starts with a dream about Ethan's mother is kind of sad. I feel so bad for that little boy. I can't even imagine it. At least he grew up to be a strong man so that's a good thing. Nice premise
