Dragons are hatched in humanoid form because their true dragon bodies develop over time. As dragons age, their hearts generate mana that gradually transforms them into their full dragon forms. The rate of growth varies among dragons. Lysandra revealing her horn doesn't make her stronger; hiding it makes her weaker because it suppresses the natural power flow she's supposed to have. The way the hierarchy works has nothing to do with horns but with bloodline.

Attributes have been mentioned throughout the story but I haven't explained what they are. I Don't plan to explain it anytime soon but you might be able to put it together if you look through the fight Professor Thaddeus had.

It's easy to write hatable characters, I'm glad you hate her
