i mean, dude is Fighting an Unnecessary war against former Friends of his. killing humans in mass, in order to achieve personal power Via godhood. he treats his Daughter like a weapon rather than an Heir. He didn't get involved in Antarctica until countless lives had been lost, and only did so in order to start the war that is currently costing even more lives. he's behaving like someone who cares far more about his own power than he does about humanity. and he certainly isn't behaving like someone who loves his kids, especially not enough to let them overtake him. also, it's been established that the reason Saints are so few is because they control access to those sorts of Nightmares to control who gets the power. so he definitely would try to stop someone from getting power if they aren't under his control. and even if he does care about humanity, there's Alot of room for that to be twisted. if he believes that HE is the best thing for humanity, then he wouldn't allow anything or any one to overtake him.

sorry, my mistake, I meant he didn't do anything wrong in reference to the time before his imprisonment. he's a terrible person. but he isn't some sociopathic monster that has something Fundamentally wrong with him like it has been stated, almost every time that it has been suggested that he was a monster, its been from the Perspective of someone whose information/perspective/loyalty is controlled by Mordret s Father. like Morgan, or A Bastion elder, etc. and even then, they rarely explain what he did that was monstrous. is he a monster now? sure. But Morgan regularly Manipulates people into favorable positions in order to play a long con, just like him. so does Cassie, and so does Neph, and so does Sunny. Morgan regularly allows Innocents to die in order to achieve the favorable results. so Do Cassie Neph and Sunny for their Long term plans. most of the stuff he has done is clearly just what his father turned him into, or what the realities of this world have done to him, and then turn them all up to 11 because he was betrayed and stuck in a box. He's a monster, but not a sociopath like his family likes to pretend. his father just didn't want him to be a threat to his rule due to being too powerful, and ended up with far worse of a threat as a result.

I must confess a secret. i Like mordret. i used to not like him, and i Used to not like Morgan. but the more i hear about Mordret, the less I think of him as a sociopathic monster, and the more i think he didn't do anything wrong. think about it, his father wanted a perfect Creation, but it always ends up flawed. his father wants something perfect, but under his control, when something is no longer under his control, or fails him in any way, it's thrown away. like Morgan. but he couldn't just throw Mordret away, Mordret is a Divine, he can Outclass his father if he's allowed to grow, so he imprisoned him. the son he had groomed to be Merciless, Cunning, and powerful. To prevent himself from being outclassed. Mordret goes crazy sure, but understandably under the Circumstances. he escapes, and does everything he can to get Revenge, to topple his father's empire, with the same perfection his father taught him. honestly, i think Morgan should betray her father for him, work together to bring him down, making way for Sunny and Neph

there is absolutely 0 chance that he has lost the [Fated] attribute. if anything it might have evolved into something new. but it cannot be gone just look at all the near impossible coincidences going back to being called Mongrel, ending up just as Entwined with his old Cohort. the Feelings that Nephis Had remaining just as strong despite not even remembering him. not to mention that the Entwinement happened in 2 completely different bodies, and the feelings transferred even across different personas I've a feeling his "Fated" attribute only git stronger or something
