How are there no other suitable candidates left? Are there no other 3rd years in the entire academy? Any of them would have been better than someone whom managed to botch all 3 tests that badly. They've even had nearly a week to for example hold a quick tournament in order to select someone.
Why is fade going? They were pretty clear that one must pass at least one test in order to be allowed to go, only 6 people have passed at least one test, so only 6 should be going instead of the maximum of 7. It would make more sense to send someone else whom hasn't taken any of the tests than to send someone whom managed to fail all 3.
Would be interesting if she takes her as her desciple and take her with her on her journey. After all it doesn't sound liks she can help her in just a short amount time and the entire forced marriage thing would fall apart the moment an immortal cultivator takes her in.
Honestly it would be a really nice twist to the story if Ethan turns down the trial and walks away. It doesn't even really sound worth the risk of getting stuck in another time again and when it comes down to it does he really need them? I think he'd be able to do just fine on his own, with his lovers.
It surprises me that they did circumvent the weapon rules by putting torpedo's on mechs, but that they didn't do the same for point defense. Why not create a mech specifically for point defense and design it so that it can secure itself to the hull of the ship it needs to defend? Then you've got yourself a mobile point defense turret, but it's technically a mech so it's allowed.
Sounds like he's not going to form a law then. After all that sleeping vampire also doesn't have a law from what we were just told and we've yet to see a single person with a law whom is stronger than one of the progenitors, so that all seems to imply that he might be better off without forming a law.
Honestly I don't quite get how this was the logical outcome, especially after in chapter 2042 Annara directly told her that hall 7 was a no and that she shouldn't go with a wolf instructor. I could see them explaning Emery as an exception because they at least know that he can be somewhat trusted, but how the heck that she eventually end up with hall 7 of all halls after their conversation in chapter 2042? Am I overlooking something?
Honestly the two things I'd like to see is Shinta joining Hall 120 and that Shinta finally makes the move to tell Emery that she is his daughter. After all she already realized that he was kept in the dark just as much as she was, giving them something in common and a viewpoint she should understand quite well. She just needs to gain the courage to take that final step and I hope it won't be delayed for too long because honestly it's starting to get annoying that it's not going anywhere.
