I don't think he can lose his system. It's a part of him now, so it's his power. And no book can be perfect for everyone, so I never really saw these things as issues imo. Mark is a brawler and he loves using his fists. He uses mana control skill to move mana and that is okay for him since it would allow him to focus more on the fight itself. That's just my opinion though. The power system isn't the best, but it's really well thought out.

Author explained earlier that he only allows the system to control his mana because it is more efficient that way. He can do it himself, but it'll be a waste of time when the system is better at it. As for him changing, i don't understand why he needs to change. If i want him to change anything it's the fact that he sometimes allows issues to get very bad before doing something about it and he is already getting better at it. As for his personality and decision making they are good imo.
