First , lot of cultivators did like mc, and everytime they moved further in the island they will put restriction behind them. if the mc want to kill them all , he will need to spent lot of time. just to kill the middle aged man he spent few days , and just to leave the island he still needed 3 month. time is precious right now for him he wanted to become strong before the fog thickens again. secondly all the treasure inside the rings are useless because the old monster are waiting outside for them to leave , and take the benefits for themselve. so the mc doesnt care about the treasure really , he wanted something to use now! thats is why he was looking for techniques.
